abstract: The market for searching for food online is exploding. According to one expert at Google, “there are over 1 billion restaurant searches on Google every month (Kelso, 2020). To capture this market and ride the general digital trend of internet personalization (as evidenced by Google search results, ads, YouTube and social media algorithms, etc), we created Munch to be an algorithm meant to help people find food they’ll love. Munch offers the ability to search for food by restaurant or even as specific as a menu item (ex: search for the best Pad Thai). The best part? It is customized to your preferences based on a quiz you take when you open the app and from that point continuously learns from your behavior. This thesis documents the journey of the team who founded Munch, what progress we made and the reasoning behind our decisions, where this idea fits in a competitive marketplace, how much it could be worth, branding, and our recommendations for a successful app in the future. The objective of this article is to analyze the intertextuality between poetry and painting in the book Under the brightness of the moon, through concept of ecfrasis. It takes into consideration theoretical and methodological approaches of William Mitchell, Michael Rifaterre, Pedro Agudelo and Luz Pimentel. The hypothesis is that the poet recreates paintings of Edvard Munch to explore the process of artistic creation. It concludes that the book contributes to Colombian poetry based on painting. Its poems reinvent Munch and exalt art as a dignified home when the author suffers madness, disenchantment and fear of death.El objetivo de este artículo es analizar la intertextualidad entre poesía y pintura en el libro Bajo el brillo de la luna, a partir del concepto de ecfrasis. Since World War II, there has been a growing public concern with the organization and the financing of medical care. | While modem medicine became a better and a more scientific product than formerly, its growing importance in the lives of all the people of the United States substantially contributed to making its administrative and fiscal aspects an expanding area of controversy. | With such developments, medical care moved into the forefront of public-policy debate. And yet today, there is every Indication that the many difficult issues surrounding this complex field will remain at the center of public affairs for a long time. It is the general purpose of this thesis to contribute to public understanding of these important issues by historical review. | The problems viewed in this thesis are not amenable to easy solutions, and the author does not pretend to have discovered such solutions--nor is that his purpose. On the contrary, the problems here presented may be expected to require continuous attention and policy decisions from numerous public and private sources for many years to come. These problems are, therefore, appropriate subjects for widespread study and thought. I hope that the historical treatment of them in this thesis will contribute toward enlightenment, discussion, and sound public policy in a difficult field.ProQuest Traditional Publishing Optio

The article discusses the considerations behind the content and design of a test website dealing with the Danish author and artist Gustaf Munch-Petersen (1912-1938). The website, which can be visited at address http://www.kb.dk/proto/gmp/, is the result of a research and development project at the Royal Library, Copenhagen, the purpose of which is to examine various ideas for presenting Danish literature over the Internet which exploit that medium’s special characteristics. The medium bears within itself a number of opportunities, both for summarising an author’s production and for assisting the reader’s understanding of individual texts. The website tests certain of these opportunities on the basis of a specific author taking as target group the teachers and students of Danish in Danish upper secondary schools. Inspiration for the content and design of the website derives in part from an initial exploratory interview survey of this target group which aimed at uncovering their needs and desires relating to Danish literature on the Internet. The website is based on two main ideas, each of which in its own way seeks to facilitate the reader’s understanding and interpretation of the literature, namely thematisation and contextualisation. With regard to the former, eight theme lines have been drawn through Gustaf Munch-Petersen’s collected works. These are: “Emancipation and the clash of generations,” “Women and love,” “Bourgeoisie and the working class,” “Revolution,” “To be an artist,” “The primitive,” “Dreams and the unconscious” and “The mystical experience.” These theme lines give a general impression of important topics in the author’s work, and enable readers to concentrate their reading on one or more of them while offering certain hints for interpretation. With regard to the latter idea, the texts have been provided with various types of context: explanatory or perspectivecreating material in words or images. These cover explanations of words, a time line showing critical events in the author’s life, cultural life and contemporary society, Gustaf Munch-Petersen’s paintings and drawings, his letters and manuscripts, relevant quotations from other texts, and finally reviews and other press articles on the author. It is shown how thematisation and contextualisation on the website can contribute to what the reader can draw from Gustaf Munch-Petersen’s texts. This is done both by examining the course of one of the eight theme lines, “Women and love”, and by showing how the contexts can give rise to different interpretations in certain of the poems, taking “til en” and “det underste land” as the main examples. Finally future applications and ideas for future development of the website are discussed

Having as main theoretic reference the concepts of Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961) on the archetypes and the collective unconscious, in this work I propose to demonstrate how the universal symbolic tenor is manifested in the individual artistic expression of the Norwegian painter Edvard Munch (1863- 1944). I put into perspective images that portray the woman and the relations of affection between man and woman, that the artist produced in the second phase of his career, between 1889 and 1908. Notwithstanding those refer to the personal view of the artist, they simultaneously bring forth the “new woman” that emerged in the society then. Thus, in contextualizing Munch´s artistic production and analyzing its symbolic content, I propose to show how the work of art can express, far beyond the private conflicts and idiosyncrasies of its author, the spirit of the time in which it was created, through universal themes.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES
