Det skjulte livet under vannoverflaten: Hvordan planlegger man for bevaring av ålegrasenger i kystkommunene Moss og Vestby?
Get PDFJorda består av omtrent tre fjerdedeler vann og er grunnlaget for et yrende dyre- og planteliv. Oslofjorden er en liten, men viktig del av dette. Dessverre er fjordlandskapet under sterkt press fra forurensning og fragmentert nedbygging. Sistnevnte skaper store problemer for ålegras (Zostera marina), som vokser sammen i det som omtales som ålegrasenger. Dette er en viktig naturtype i fjorden. I forbindelse med nedbygging ser man en svekket tilstand i ålegrasengene, knyttet til manglende forståelse for arten og konsekvensene av utbygging i strandsonen.
Masteroppgaven undersøker hvordan naturmangfoldplanen og kommuneplanens arealdel fungerer for å beskytte ålegrasenger langs Oslofjorden, med hovedfokus på Moss og Vestby kommune. Gjennom en dokumentstudie av naturmangfoldplanen og arealdelen belyses hvordan ålegrasenger beskrives og beskyttes gjennom kommuneplan. Datainnsamlingen er supplert med semistrukturerte intervjuer med informanter fra case-kommunene, samt statsforvalteren i Østfold, Buskerud og Oslo og Akershus. Formålet med oppgaven er å undersøke hvordan Moss og Vestby bruker planverktøy for å beskytte lokale ålegrasenger, og hvilke utfordringer som knytter seg til dette arbeidet.
Ved å gjennomgå eksisterende forskning og rapporter om bit-for-bit utvikling og ålegras, avdekkes kunnskapshull i hvordan man planlegger for å integrere miljøhensyn. Dette støttes av et teoretisk rammeverk som viser hvordan miljøpolitisk integrering (EPI) kan fremme bærekraftig utvikling i planleggingen.
Funnene viser at kommunene har kunnskap om ålegrasenger, med større vektlegging i naturmangfoldplanen. Samtidig nedprioriteres de ofte i praksis, særlig ved konflikt med utbyggingsinteresser. I arealdelen er beskyttelsen svak, gjennom vagt formulerte hensynssoner. Det argumenteres derfor for at beskyttelsen bør styrkes i fremtiden, blant annet gjennom tydeligere arealformål og tilhørende bestemmelser. Et oppdatert kunnskapsgrunnlag bør også prioriteres.Approximately three-quarters of the Earth’s surface is covered by water, forming the basis for rich and diverse ecosystems. The Oslofjord is a small but important part of this. Unfortunately, the fjord landscape is under significant pressure from pollution and fragmented development. The latter poses major challenges for eelgrass (Zostera marina), which grows in what are known as eelgrass meadows. Which is a key habitat in the fjord. In connection with coastal development, these meadows are in decline, largely due to a lack of understanding of the species and the consequences of shoreline development.
This master’s thesis explores how the municipal biodiversity plan and the land-use element of the municipal master plan function to protect eelgrass meadows along the Oslofjord, with a primary focus on the municipalities of Moss and Vestby. Through a document study of the biodiversity plan and land-use element, the thesis examines how eelgrass meadows are described and safeguarded in planning documents. This analysis is supplemented by semi-structured interviews with informants from the case municipalities, as well as representatives from the County Governor’s offices in Østfold, Buskerud, and Oslo and Akershus. The aim of the thesis is to investigate how Moss and Vestby apply planning tools to protect local eelgrass meadows, and what challenges are associated with this work.
By reviewing existing research and reports on incremental (bit-by-bit) development and eelgrass, knowledge gaps are revealed in how environmental considerations are integrated into planning. These findings are supported by a theoretical framework on Environmental Policy Integration (EPI), which illustrates how EPI can promote sustainable development in planning processes.
The findings show that the municipalities are aware of the existence and value of eelgrass meadows, with greater emphasis found in the biodiversity plans. However, in practice, these habitats are often deprioritized, especially when in conflict with development interests. In the land-use plans, protection is weak and often expressed through vaguely defined zoning provisions. It is therefore argued that future protection should be strengthened, for example through clearer land-use designations and associated regulations. An updated knowledge base should also be prioritized
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
