The role of the Japan-U.S. Alliance in the regional security system
No full textThe article highlights the role of the Japan-U.S. military Alliance in regional security at the present stage. The Asia-Pacific region is an important economic and political center that continues to develop at a rapid pace. At the same time, the region's hotbeds of instability and complex of unresolved problems have a negative impact on regional security. The Japan-U.S. Alliance has adapted to modern realities and has gained prominence in the regional security system. The author analyzes the current factors of strengthening the Alliance, including its relations with China and Russia and the situation on the Korean peninsula. The article examines the main contradictions that exist in Japan-China, Japan-North Korea and Japan-Russia relations. Japan continues to consider China and the DPRK as the main sources of threats to regional security. The territorial dispute over the Senkaku (Diaoyu) archipelago remains a stumbling block in Sino-Japanese relations, which also got greatly complicated due to the increased activity of China in the region, particularly in the East China Sea. North Korea's nuclear program and continued missile tests are a serious factor of instability in the Asia-Pacific region and the present situation in the Korean peninsula is a great concern to a number of countries, including Japan. As for Russia-Japan relations, for a long time the main disagreement has been the absence of a peace treaty and Tokyo's territorial claims, but the Ukrainian factor has contributed to increasing tensions between the two countries. The article gives the forecast for
Japan's future policy, which would aim to strengthen the alliance, and analyzes the role of the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (QUAD), which includes both Japan and the United States. The author describes the
formation of the dialogue, gives a description of its current course of action and makes predictions about its future development. Despite the strong cooperation between the participants in the security field, today the structure of QUAD is still closer to a forum than to a full-fledged organization

No full textThe article investigates the place of the contract for real estate services in the system of civil obligations. The author researched that the signs of realtor contract is a special area of real estate services - the real estate market. In addition, in the agreement on providing real estate services real estate agent acts solely on behalf and for the account of the client, as real estate sales regulations do not allow him to independently perform transactions with the real estate on behalf of the client. Realtor actions, as the subject of the contract, lies in the convergence of parties of the future transaction of immovable property. These actions are purely factual in nature. However, analysis of these features allowed the author to conclude on the need of allotment of the real estate services as Intermediary form of a separate subspecies.Стаття присвячена дослідженню місця договору про надання ріелторських послуг в системі цивільно-правових зобов\u27язань. Автором досліджено, що ознакою ріелторського договору є особлива сфера надання ріелторських послуг - ринок нерухомості. Крім того, в договорі про надання ріелторських послуг ріелтор виступає виключно від імені і за рахунок клієнта, оскільки правила обороту нерухомого майна не дозволяють йому самостійно вчиняти правочини з нерухомим майном від імені клієнта. Дії ріелтора, що складають предмет ріел- торського договору, полягають у зближенні сторін майбутнього правочину щодо нерухомого майна. Ці дії носять виключно фактичний характер. Автор дійшов висновку про те, що послуги посередника, які надаються на ринку нерухомості, є посередницьким за своєю природою. Однак аналіз вказаних особливостей дозволив автору дійти висновку про необхідність виділення ріелторських послуг серед послуг посередницького виду в окремий підвид.

Hidden dynamics in models of discontinuity and switching
No full textSharp switches in behaviodr, like impacts, stick slip motion, or electrical relays, can be modelled by differential equations with discontinuities. A discontinuity approximates fine details of a switching process that lie beyond a bulk empirical model. The theory of piecewise-smooth dynamics describes what happens assuming we can solve the system of equations across its discontinuity. What this typically neglects is that effects which are vanishingly small outside the discontinuity can have an arbitrarily large effect at the discontinuity itself. Here we show that such behaviour can be incorporated within the standard theory through nonlinear terms, and these introduce multiple sliding modes. We show that the nonlinear terms persist in more precise models, for example when the discontinuity is smoothed out. The nonlinear sliding can be eliminated, however, if the model contains an irremovable level of unknown error, which provides a criterion for systems to obey the standard Filippov laws for sliding dynamics at a discontinuity.
