Recursos didácticos y tecnológicos para la enseñanza de la matemática
Get PDFThe research objective was to determine the interactive and technological teaching resources used by elementary school teachers to teach mathematics content in eighth-grade elementary school in the municipality of Valera. The methodological approach was based on a quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental, cross-sectional field approach. The survey technique was applied to the population of five eighth-grade teachers from three institutions in the municipality of Valera. The questionnaire was validated by experts in methodology and content. Reliability was determined using Cronbach\u27s alpha coefficient, which was 0.9058. The results were analyzed through tables, revealing that 100% of the teachers surveyed reported using interactive teaching resources, printed and visual materials, and 40% occasionally used computer resources. Among the computer programs, 60% of teachers do not use educational software, such as Excel, or video games. Two of the three educational institutions have technological tools at their disposal, while one does not, relying solely on a blackboard as a teaching resource for developing mathematical content. Regarding the difficulty of mathematical content, 40% mentioned fractions, linear and quadratic functions, and polynomials, and 20% mentioned equations and factoring. It is concluded that, despite the majority of teachers having access to interactive and technological teaching resources, they do not fully develop mathematical content possible. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers participate in workshops that allow them to strengthen their cognitive and technological skills for the effective development of mathematical content, fostering meaningful and active learning in mathematics.El objetivo de investigación fue: Determinar los recursos didácticos interactivos y tecnológicos que utilizan los docentes de educación básica para la enseñanza de los contenidos matemáticos del 8vo grado de educación básica, del municipio Valera. Metodológicamente abordado desde el paradigma cuantitativo, de tipo descriptivo, de campo no experimental transeccional; la población conformada por cinco docentes del octavo grado de tres instituciones del municipio Valera de Venezuela, se les aplicó la técnica de la encuesta a través de un cuestionario, siendo validado por expertos en metodología y contenido. Se aplicó la confiabilidad a través del coeficiente alfa Cronbach, cuyo coeficiente fue de 0,9058. Los resultados se analizaron a través de tablas, arrojando que el 100% de los docentes encuestados manifestaron hacer uso de los recursos didácticos interactivos, los materiales impresos y los visuales, en un 40% algunas veces los recursos informáticos. Entre los programas informáticos el 60% de los docentes no hacen uso del software educativo, del Excel, y los videos juegos. En dos de las tres instituciones educativas cuentan con herramientas tecnológicas a su disposición, mientras que en una no tienen, sólo cuenta con la pizarra como recurso didáctico para desarrollar los contenidos matemáticos. En cuanto a la dificultad en los contenidos matemáticos un 40% señaló las fracciones, las funciones lineales y cuadráticas y los polinomios, y un 20% de los contenidos ecuaciones y factorización. Por lo que se concluye que los docentes a pesar de contar en su mayoría con los recursos didácticos interactivos y tecnológicos no desarrollan los contenidos matemáticos aprovechando las bondades didácticas de los mismos. Por lo que se recomienda participar en talleres que les permita fortalecer sus habilidades cognitivas y tecnológicas para el desarrollo de contenidos matemáticos de forma efectiva, propiciando aprendizajes significativos y activos de la matemática
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
