Avaliação da pegada de carbono de uma edificação em Madeira Lamelada Colada Cruzada. Estudo de caso em módulo de sala de aula no Estado do Paraná

Como alternativa, sistemas em madeira engenheirada, como a Madeira Lamelada Colada Cruzada (MLCC), apresentam potencial para reduzir a pegada de carbono das edificações. Este trabalho avalia a pegada de carbono de um módulo unitário de sala de aula em MLCC no estado do Paraná, identifica os elementos construtivos mais contribuintes para as emissões médias totais e discute possibilidades de mitigação. Trata-se de um estudo de caso baseado no quantitativo de materiais fornecido pela empresa responsável pelo projeto. Os fatores de emissão foram obtidos no Sistema de Informação do Desempenho Ambiental da Construção (Sidac) e em Declarações Ambientais de Produto internacionais, considerando o potencial de aquecimento global de origem fóssil nos módulos A1–A3 da Avaliação do Ciclo de Vida. Os dados do Sidac, originalmente em CO2, foram convertidos para CO2eq com apoio do banco Ecoinvent, e, quando necessário, as unidades funcionais foram harmonizadas, garantindo compatibilidade entre o quantitativo e as fontes de dados dos fatores de emissão. As emissões totais do módulo variaram de 10479,91 a 19396,77 kgCO2eq, com valor médio de 14938,34 kgCO2eq, correspondendo a um fator de emissão médio de 293,02 kgCO2eq/m² para a edificação. A análise pela curva ABC mostrou que sete elementos concentram 79,06% das emissões médias, com destaque para o concreto da fundação, as telhas com núcleo de poliisocianurato e o MLCC estrutural. O concreto permanece como principal contribuinte devido ao elevado volume empregado, e maiores fatores de emissão por unidade de volume, enquanto o MLCC apresenta menores emissões associadas por unidade de volume, reforçando o seu potencial de substituir sistemas convencionais em concreto em edificações de menores emissões.
Resumen
El sector de la construcción representa una fracción significativa de las emisiones globales de gases de efecto invernadero, sobre todo por el uso intensivo de hormigón y acero. Como alternativa, los sistemas en madera ingenierizada, como la madera laminada cruzada, muestran potencial para reducir la huella de carbono de las edificaciones. Este trabajo evalúa la huella de carbono de un módulo unitario de aula en madera laminada cruzada en el estado de Paraná, identifica los elementos constructivos que más contribuyen a las emisiones medias totales y discute posibilidades de mitigación. Se trata de un estudio de caso basado en el cómputo de materiales proporcionado por la empresa responsable del proyecto. Los factores de emisión se obtuvieron del Sistema de Información del Desempeño Ambiental de la Construcción (Sidac) y de Declaraciones Ambientales de Producto internacionales, considerando el potencial de calentamiento global de origen fósil en los módulos A1– A3 de la evaluación del ciclo de vida. Los datos del Sidac, originalmente expresados en CO2, se convirtieron a CO2eq con apoyo de la base de datos Ecoinvent y, cuando fue necesario, se armonizaron las unidades funcionales, garantizando la compatibilidad entre el cómputo de materiales y las fuentes de datos de los factores de emisión. Las emisiones totales del módulo variaron de 10479,91 a 19396,77 kgCO2eq, con un valor medio de 14938,34 kgCO2eq, lo que corresponde a un factor de emisión medio de 293,02 kgCO2eq/m² para la edificación. El análisis mediante la curva ABC mostró que siete elementos concentran el 79,06% de las emisiones medias, destacándose el hormigón de la cimentación, las cubiertas con núcleo de poliisocianurato y la madera laminada cruzada estructural. El hormigón sigue siendo el principal contribuyente debido al elevado volumen empleado y a los mayores factores de emisión por unidad de volumen, mientras que la madera laminada cruzada presenta menores emisiones asociadas por unidad de volumen, lo que refuerza su potencial para sustituir sistemas tradicionales de hormigón en edificaciones de menores emisiones
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
