Kerepek Mastuki / Farah Adiba Azlan ... [et al.]
Kerepek Mastuki has been in business for 30 years, beginning in 1991 and continuing until 2021. Puan Zaronah binti Basri is the company's founder. She began on a small scale, and sales were very limited in the early stages of the company. She only marketed at Batu Pahat restaurants, grocery stores, and MITSUMI companies. This is due to the fact that Puan Zaronah only works at MITSUMI as a factory worker. From a small stall to a factory. In 2000, the first and official Kerepek Mastuki factory was built and they are selling over 100 types of products such as various kinds of kerepek and cookies. The operation hours of this company are from 8.30am-10.00 pm before the implementation of Movement Control Order (MCO) and from 9.00am to 6.00pm during MCO.
This case study involves the information of Company KEREPEK MASTUKI such as the background of the company, organizational structure, business product, marketing channel and strategy as well as their financial achievement. This case study is also an extensive study of how a company operates and manages their business and how they are facing their challenges that they are facing. As a company, KEREPEK MASTUKI have their own strengths and weaknesses. Therefore, there are also few recommendations given in the case study for solving certain matters and promisingly would be able to give KEREPEK MASTUKI the opportunity in making their base stronger and known

Deoxynucleotide triphosphates (dNTPs) concentration in polymerase chain reaction: effects on DNA amplification / Mohd Fahmi Mastuki
The roles of various reagents in different polymerase chain reaction (PCR) protocols and the necessity to optimize specific PCR applications with respect to deoxynucleotide triphosphates (dNTPs) have been discussed by many researchers. In this study, the concentration of dNTPs influencing PCR amplification was carried out. DNA amplification was performed using six different concentration of dNTPs with other PCR reagents including the Taq polymerase, primer and DNA template concentrations, the PCR cycling parameters and the number of PCR cycles remained constant. The amplified DNA were separated by agarose gel electrophoresis and stained with ethidium bromide. The visualization of nucleic acid band was done using a gel documentation system. The results indicated that the dNTPs is needed in the amplification of DNA. DNA amplification for this particular DNA template and PCR profile was optimal with 0.08 mM dNTPs concentration. A further increased or decreased of the dNTPs concentration results in poor amplification of DNA. In concentration of 0.02 mM, DNA amplification still occurred but in the absence of dNTPs, there was no amplification produced. In the excess of 0.10 mM dNTPs, the band failed to form. In conclusion, the concentration of dNTPs has significant effects on the amplification of DNA. Excessively high or low dNTPs concentration will result in a corresponding low yield or no amplification of DNA at all. The dNTPs concentration must therefore be determined empirically in order to yield good DNA amplification
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Factors affecting microcredit demand among woman small medium entrepreneur : a case study of Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia Segamat / Nurazila Mastuki
The Malaysia government had been using the microfinance as one of tools to achieve its mission to reduce poverty and achieve a high-income status by 2020. Three (3) steps taken by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) to create a sustainable microfinance industry: Encourage financial institutions to provide microfinance. Design right product to meet the needs of micro enterprises and create widespread awareness on the availability and benefits of microfinance. However, it was reported that the effectiveness of promotional efforts to raise public awareness of the availability of microfinance is an issue to be looked into. As such, this study was to examine the factors affect microcredit demand among woman entrepreneur in Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia Segamat. By determining the current factors of microcredit demand in Segamat, the study zoomed in and focused on studying the determinants that influencing of microcredit demands in AIM Segamat. The contribution made by this study is to improve understanding and awareness level of micro enterprise that people will know the availability of microfinance that can assist them to start their micro business
Earnings management and sale of assets / Nor'azam Mastuki and Nihlah Abdullah
The focus of this study is to examine whether firms used income from sale of assets as an instrument to manage earnings. Two aspect of earnings management are examined: earnings smoothing behavior and avoidance of debt covenant activities. A Sample had been taken from firms listed under
industrial and consumer product at the main board of Bursa Malaysia from 2000 to 2003. Similar with findings obtained in an environment where current cost are applied in asset reporting, we found that incentive for earnings management is asymmetric.firms with poor economic performances (negative earnings change) have greater incentive to smooth earnings that firm exhibiting good economic performance (positive earning change). This study had also examined whether the asymmetric results holds true for firms selling
asset with high impact on net income in comparison with firms selling asset with low impact on net income. an area which had not been explored by previous studies. And within this context we also found asymmetric results. Firms reporting high impact of income from asset sale in relation to net income had shown significant evidence ofearnings smoothing patterns. No evidence is found to associate earnings smoothing activities with firms reporting low
impact of income from asset sale in relation to net income. However this research had failed to find evidence to associate income from asset sale with debt-equity hypothesis in all sub samples
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
