Clausola che vieta la sublocazione (art. 1594 c.c.)

    No full text

2-sequent calculus: intuitionism and natural deduction

    No full text
This approach to studying the minimal intuitionistic modal logic is based on a generalization of Gentzen's original sequent calculus introduced and developed by the author in a previous paper [see Ann. Pure Appl. Logic 58 (1992), no. 3, 229--246; MR1191942 (93k:03056)]. The complete proof-theoretic treatment of the calculus is presented, including the cut elimination theorem with some of its consequences. The author considers the corresponding 2-natural deduction system, followed by the normalization theorem, and analyzes its relationship with the 2-sequent calculus. Such an approach to the proof-theoretic analysis of logical systems seems to be very natural, fruitful and applicable to a wide class of logics

Frequency of musculoskeletal symptoms in diagnostic medical sonographers. Results of a pilot survey

    No full text
INTRODUCTION: We report the results of a pilot survey in diagnostic medical sonographers. Aim of the study was to evaluate the frequency of musculoskeletal disorders in sonologists and the relationship of these symptoms to ergonomic factors. MATERIALS AND METHODS: 340 sonographers (258 male, 82 female doctors; mean age 41.5 +/- 7.2 years) were given a questionnaire to fill out. The questionnaire asked questions about the sonologist's age, gender, technique of ultrasound procedure, physical activity, and work-related musculoskeletal complaints. Two symptom lists regarded carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) symptoms (8 items) and other work-related musculoskeletal symptoms (13 items). The categorized response variables "have now" or "in the past" were provided. The symptoms experienced were categorized into three levels as no symptoms, few symptoms (1-4 symptoms), and many symptoms (> 5 symptoms). RESULTS: One third of the respondents reported having at least one or more work-related symptoms in the upper extremities. The most frequent symptoms were tingling (17.6%), numbness or finger pain (13.5%). Carpal tunnel syndrome had been diagnosed in 5 cases (1.5%). More than 60% of all respondents have experienced one or more musculoskeletal symptoms in the cervical or lumbar spine. The commonest symptom was neck and low back pain (67%). The pain was generally intermittent and occurred at the end of the workday. Motion impairment in the neck and/or back was present in 23.5% of cases. Twenty-five percent of respondents had received treatments for their symptoms and 10% reported having stopped work because of their symptoms. Data analysis showed that muscular efforts such as gripping the transducer, applying sustained pressure, and scanning with a correlated flexed or hyperextended wrist were significantly correlated with increasing severity of symptoms in the hand, wrist, and forearm area. On the other hand, low back pain appeared to be negatively correlated with correct position of the body. CONCLUSIONS: Several physical risk factors (e.g., repetitive work and force exertion, twisting of the body and poorly-adjustable chairs) have been identified for work-related upper extremity and spine disorders. Ergonomic redesign of the workstation configuration as well as allowing sufficient recovery time to body and arm muscles appear to be the main goals to achieve prevention of musculoskeletal disorders in sonographers

D-Tagatose Feeding Reduces the Risk of Sugar-Induced Exacerbation of Myocardial I/R Injury When Compared to Its Isomer Fructose

    No full text
It is known that fructose may contribute to myocardial vulnerability to ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury. D-tagatose is a fructose isomer with less caloric value and used as low-calorie sweetener. Here we compared the metabolic impact of fructose or D-tagatose enriched diets on potential exacerbation of myocardial I/R injury. Wistar rats were randomizedly allocated in the experimental groups and fed with one of the following diets: control (CTRL), 30% fructose-enriched (FRU 30%) or 30% D-tagatose-enriched (TAG 30%). After 24 weeks of dietary manipulation, rats underwent myocardial injury caused by 30 min ligature of the left anterior descending (LAD) coronary artery followed by 24 h′ reperfusion. Fructose consumption resulted in body weight increase (49%) as well as altered glucose, insulin and lipid profiles. These effects were associated with increased I/R-induced myocardial damage, oxidative stress (36.5%) and inflammation marker expression. TAG 30%-fed rats showed lower oxidative stress (21%) and inflammation in comparison with FRU-fed rats. Besides, TAG diet significantly reduced plasmatic inflammatory cytokines and GDF8 expression (50%), while increased myocardial endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) expression (59%). Overall, we demonstrated that D-tagatose represents an interesting sugar alternative when compared to its isomer fructose with reduced deleterious impact not only on the metabolic profile but also on the related heart susceptibility to I/R injury. © Copyright © 2021 Durante, Sgambellone, Lucarini, Failli, Laurino, Collotta, Provensi, Masini and Collino

Ferruccio Masini legge Gottfried Benn

    No full text
The essay ist divided into an introduction concerning Gottfried Benn's nihilism, into a second paragraph, in which is analysed the reason of Ferruccio Masini's priority interest for a late collection of poems of Gottfried Benn, Aprèlude (1955) - published in italian translation by the germanist 1963, - placed here in connection with the main points of the mature artist spelt out in the essay "Altern als Problem für Künstler" (1954); furthermore, into a following paragraph which concerns Benn's aesthetic mysticism, read using the interpretation of Ferruccio Masini and showing his insistence on the concept of "geometric-abstract perspective" in Benn's lyric poetry. In the last two paragraphs the circle of the argumentation is closed with some considerations concerning the translated and commented edition of the famous collection of Benn's early poems "Morgue" (1912). In Benn's reflections explicated by Masini the destructive power of the form and the meditation on violence are showed as indipendent from the conflict between the individual and the society. In a last paragraph it is possible to ascertain Masini's interest in the nihilism of the romantic german author Jean Paul, to whose horizont is defined Masini's thought developed on the relationship between god and man by means of Nietzsche's philosophy
