Mimbar dan Altar: Kajian Historis Liturgis atas Kesatuan Firman dan Perjamuan Kudus di Ibadah Minggu menurut Martin Luther serta Relevansinya terhadap Ibadah Minggu HKBP

    No full text
This article seeks to understand the relationship between the Word and the Holy Communion in Sunday Worship. First, this article will do a historical study from the early church era to the Middle Ages. Furthermore, there will be a particular study on the order of Sunday Worship written by Martin Luther, the Formula Missae et Communiones and the Deustsche Messe. Furthermore, this article will look at the theological relationship between the Word and the Holy Communion at Sunday Worship, especially from the Luther and Lutheran perspective. As an implication, this article will elaborate on HKBP Sunday Worship in conjunction with the Lutheran liturgy and the Prussian Agenda

Luther’s Understanding of the Presence of God in Creation: Toward a Lutheran Eco-Theology

    No full text
This paper argues for a Lutheran eco-theology based on the notion of the presence of God in the creation, heavily derived from two of Martin Luther’s interrelated concepts: creation and sacramental theology. Both Luther’s theological ideas proclaim the presence of God based on God’s creative works. This paper investigates both theological ideas despite having different approaches to presenting God’s power and its significance to eco-theology. The method employs theoretical research of Martin Luther’s main writings and works. The primary result of this investigation shows that Luther’s understanding of the real presence of God in the dialectical differences between creation and sacramental theology provides meaningful expressions and elements to develop a Lutheran eco-theology. The paper concludes that in the middle of the present ecological catastrophe, it is urgent to develop a relevant eco-theology that can provide significant theological and ethical ideas for the care of the Earth

Esensi Bunga Altar dalam Liturgi Ibadah Minggu: Studi Kasus tentang Penggunaan Bunga Altar dalam Gereja HKBP Tambun Sari Ressort Bongbongan

    No full text
Altar flowers play an important role in various religious traditions, including in the context of the worship liturgy of Lutheran churches today. This paper explores the significance of altar flowers in the liturgical context of the Huria Kristen Batak Protestan (HKBP) church, focusing on their symbolic meaning, aesthetic aspects, and the psychological impact they bring to worship. In worship, altar flowers are visual elements rich in meaning and often used to represent symbols such as the beauty of fertility, new life, or sacrifice, which contribute to the spiritual experience of the congregation.  But behind it all, the author has a question from several sources that must be answered by the author regarding how important altar flowers are in the liturgical celebration of worship and what about the flowers that must be given in the altar whether live flowers or otherwise. That way the author will investigate further about the essence and true meaning of altar flowers in the Sunday worship liturgy at the HKBP Tambun Sari Ressort Bongbongan Church. The author then uses the literature method by examining church theological documents and analyzing interview data with congregations at HKBP Tambun Sari Ressort Bongbongan. The results show that regardless of the type of flower chosen, it is important to understand that the essence of using altar flowers is to express deep symbolic and spiritual meaning, in the context of worship

Theology of Mission of Banua Niha Keriso Protestant in the Context of Religious Pluralism in Indonesia: A Critical Analysis

    No full text
Banua Niha Keriso Protestan (BNKP) is one of the churches organized by the Western missionaries in Nias, Indonesia. Missionaries sent by Rheinische Missions-Gesellschaft (RMG) since 1865 imparted a theology of mission which emphasized the superiority of Christianity compared to other religions. This kind of mission theology can cause tension and triggered conflict among religions because of the issue of Christianization. Therefore, the primary purpose of this study was to do a critical analysis of the theology of mission of BNKP that is informed by the theology of religion, which addresses the challenge of religious pluralism in Indonesia. This research focused on mission and religions studies. Through historical, sociological, or anthropological studies and content analysis of religions and BNKP, author found four models of mission that is acknowledged by BNKP. The first is a mission as conversion. Here, mission means being a witness of the Gospel to others, so they make a personal decision to believe in Jesus Christ and to be a member of the church. The second is the church-centered mission. The mission is done for the sake of planting and building the church by self-governing, self-propagating, and self-sustaining churches. The third is missio Dei. The mission is understood as God’s mission, and the church is only the instrument of God’s mission. The last is a mission as a holistic mission. In this model, mission means reaching the whole dimension of life including the whole creation

Re-Interpretasi Hak Milik Pribadi Dalam Bingkai Dimensi Sosial

This article aims to explain how private property rights are framed in a social dimension. Property rights here are given by God as a means to protect human life as well as those of others around them. This research was carried out using qualitative methods by reviewing Christian theological literature and developing topics related to private property rights within the framework of the social dimension. First, the author explains how property rights are defined, the social dimensions and what the Biblical view of this is. Then the author explains how Christianity views this by explaining how the significance of property ownership comes from God. Then explains the theological view regarding private property rights within the framework of the social dimension which directs each individual to a view that shows that each person's rights must also be seen as part of someone's property rights within them. Private ownership or personal rights have a moral obligation to see other groups in society as having a part in it. With this understanding, private ownership must also be in a good and correct flow. Private property rights must always be in order to fulfill needs, while protecting personal sustainability and the lives of other people in need

Correlation consistent valence basis sets for use with the Stuttgart-Dresden-Bonn relativistic effective core potentials: the atoms Ga-Kr and In-Xe

We propose large-core correlation-consistent (cc) pseudopotential basis sets for the heavy p-block elements Ga-Kr and In-Xe. The basis sets are of cc-pVTZ and cc-pVQZ quality, and have been optimized for use with the large-core (valence-electrons only) Stuttgart-Dresden-Bonn (SDB) relativistic pseudopotentials. Validation calculations on a variety of third-row and fourth-row diatomics suggest them to be comparable in quality to the all-electron cc-pVTZ and cc-pVQZ basis sets for lighter elements. Especially the SDB-cc-pVQZ basis set in conjunction with a core polarization potential (CPP) yields excellent agreement with experiment for compounds of the later heavy p-block elements. For accurate calculations on Ga (and, to a lesser extent, Ge) compounds, explicit treatment of 13 valence electrons appears to be desirable, while it seems inevitable for In compounds. For Ga and Ge, we propose correlation consistent basis sets extended for (3d) correlation. For accurate calculations on organometallic complexes of interest to homogenous catalysis, we recommend a combination of the standard cc-pVTZ basis set for first- and second-row elements, the presently derived SDB-cc-pVTZ basis set for heavier p-block elements, and for transition metals, the small-core [6s5p3d] Stuttgart-Dresden basis set-relativistic effective core potential combination supplemented by (2f1g) functions with exponents given in the Appendix to the present paper.
