MOBI: a web server to define and visualize structural mobility in NMR protein ensembles
Motivation: MOBI is a web server for the identification of structurally mobile regions in NMR protein ensembles. It provides a binary mobility definition that is analogous to the commonly used definition of intrinsic disorder in X-ray crystallographic structures. At least three different use cases can be envisaged: ( i) visualization of NMR mobility for structural analysis; ( ii) definition of regions for reliable comparative modelling in protein structure prediction and (iii) definition of mobility in analogy to intrinsic disorder. MOBI uses structural superposition and local conformational differences to derive a robust binary mobility definition that is in excellent agreement with the manually curated definition used in the CASP8 experiment for intrinsic disorder in NMR structure. The output includes mobility-coloured PDB files, mobility plots and a FASTA formatted sequence file summarizing the mobility results
On the AJ Conjecture for Knots
We confirm the AJ conjecture [Ga2] that relates the A-polynomial and the colored Jones polynomial for hyperbolic knots satisfying certain conditions. In particular, we show that the conjecture holds true for some classes of two-bridge knots and pretzel knots. This extends the result of the first author in [Le2], who established the AJ conjecture for a large class of two-bridge knots, including all twist knots. Along the way, we explicitly calculate the universal SL₂(C)-character ring of the knot group of the (−2, 3, 2n + 1)-pretzel knot, and show it is reduced for all integers n

Observational evidence for AGN feedback in early-type galaxies
A major amendment in recent models of hierarchical galaxy formation is the inclusion of so-called active galactic nucleus (AGN) feedback. The energy input from an active central massive black hole is invoked to suppress star formation in early-type galaxies at later epochs. A major problem is that this process is poorly understood, and compelling observational evidence for its mere existence is still missing. In search for signatures of AGN feedback, we have compiled a sample of 16 000 early-type galaxies in the redshift range 0.05 200 km s ) and roughly evenly distributed between star formation and AGN at intermediate and low (σ <100 km s ) masses. The objects with emission (∼20 per cent) are offset from the red sequence and form a well-defined pattern in the colour-mass diagram. Star-forming early-types inhabit the blue cloud, while early-types with AGN are located considerably closer to and almost on the red sequence. Star formation-AGN composites are found right between these two extremes. We further derive galaxy star formation histories using a novel method that combines multiwavelength photometry from near-ultraviolet (UV) to near-infrared (IR) and stellar absorption indices. We find that in those objects deviating from the red sequence star formation occurred several 100 Myr in the past involving 1-10 per cent of the total stellar mass. We identify an evolutionary sequence from star formation via nuclear activity to quiescence. This transition process lasts about 1 Gyr, and the peak AGN phase occurs roughly half a Gyr after the starburst. The most likely interpretation is that star formation is suppressed by nuclear activity in these objects before they settle on the red sequence. This is empirical evidence for the occurrence of AGN feedback in early-type galaxies at recent epochs. © 2007 The Authors. Journal compilation © 2007 RAS
Vocal works by Eugen Suchoň
The bachelor thesis focuses on opera and song works by the Slovak author Eugen Suchoň. The introductory part contains a brief biography of the author and a description of his initial tendencies to create a national opera. The second part of the work is devoted to his two operas, the plot and music structure, as well as the evaluation of critics and the general public. The third part is devoted to song and choral works, where there are specific works and at the same time their characteristics and the author's vision. It contains not only popular works, but also unknown works

Discovery of a single faint AGN in a large sample of z > 5 Lyman break galaxies
As part of a large spectroscopic survey of z > 5 Lyman break galaxies (LBGs), we have identified a single source which is clearly hosting an active galactic nucleus (AGN). Out of a sample of more than 50 spectroscopically confirmed R-band dropout galaxies at z∼ 5 and above, only J104048.6−115550.2 at z= 5.44 shows evidence for a high ionization potential emission line indicating the presence of a hard ionizing continuum from an AGN. Like most objects in our sample the rest-frame-UV spectrum shows the UV continuum breaking across a Lyα line. Uniquely within this sample of LBGs, emission from N V is also detected, a clear signature of AGN photoionization. The object is spatially resolved in Hubble Space Telescope (HST) imaging. This, and the comparatively high Lyα/N V flux ratio indicates that the majority of the Lyα (and the UV continuum longward of it) originates from stellar photoionization, a product of the ongoing starburst in the LBG. Even without the AGN emission, this object would have been photometrically selected and spectroscopically confirmed as a Lyman break in our survey. The measured optical flux (IAB= 26.1) is therefore an upper limit to that from the AGN and is of order 100 times fainter than the majority of known quasars at these redshifts. The detection of a single object in our survey volume is consistent with the best current models of high redshift AGN luminosity function, providing a substantial fraction of such AGN is found within luminous starbursting galaxies. We discuss the cosmological implications of this discovery
The Project for improving og an external and intermal communication in General Credit Bank ( VÚB ) , stock company, Invoice department Martin
We try to improve the presentation of bank communication ( outside an internal ) in Všeobecná úverová banka,a.s.
