Full text linkOn 16 june 2023, the Library Community Engagement at Perpustakaan Tun Abdul Razak (PTAR), Universiti Teknologi MARA Pulau Pinang (UiTMCPP) Branch, Permatang Pauh Campus, came alive with the vibrant voices of the university students participating in the live public speaking event, Speak Up@PTAR with Ms Marni Jamil (Speak Up@PTAR). This event, organised by PTAR UiTMCPP, aimed to improve communication skills creatively while providing a platform for university students to express their views on various topics under the guidance of Ms Marni Jamil, a lecturer from the Academy of Language Studies, UiTMCPP.
The event captivated an audience of UiTMCPP staff and students from 8.00 a.m. to10.00 a.m., as 12 undergraduate participants enthusiastically presented their viewpoints on various topics in a responsible, fact-based, and respectful manner. These students proved that they were able to think critically and articulate their wonderful ideas and opinions with confidence by highlighting a wide array of subjects, encompassing technology, legal matters, business, health, and other current topics. In addition, the significance of extensive reading became apparent via the content of their speeches, motivating everyone present to venture into reliable information sources and cultivate a habit of reading for personal development. The event provided a safe and inclusive avenue for university students to share their perspectives, which brilliantly encouraged intellectual discourse and fostered an environment where diverse perspectives were respected and valued

Full text linkThe Cuppa Convo with Marni: Confidence through Casual English Conversations (Cuppa Convo) programme was an initiative spearheaded by Ms. Marni Jamil, an English lecturer from the Academy of Language Studies at Universiti Teknologi MARA Pulau Pinang Branch (UiTMCPP), aimed at sharing her expertise with the university community. This programme was initiated in response to requests from UiTMCPP staff who expressed interest in participating in English language lessons but faced challenges committing to long-term engagements. Cuppa Convo, comprising three sessions on 18th, 19th, and 26th January 2024 from 4.00 pm to 5.00 pm at the Perpustakaan Tun Abdul Razak Library (PTAR) UiTMCPP offered the university personnel a consistent opportunity to practise English. The primary aim of the programme was to foster English communication among UiTMCPP staff, while bolstering their confidence in expressing ideas and communicating effectively in English within a relaxed environment. The distinctive aspect of the concept was its departure from formal learning approaches. It embraced casual conversations ("Convo") and a relaxed atmosphere, akin to enjoying coffee ("Cuppa"), effectively aligning with its objectives. Proficiency in English communication is important for UiTM staff, particularly in the context of UiTM's 2025 Strategic Plan, aimed at positioning the university as a globally recognised institution. Essentially, English serves as a medium for knowledge dissemination and facilitates the exchange of experiences and the cultivation of robust interpersonal relationships across diverse backgrounds

Full text linkPublic Speaking 2 (HPD221) undergraduate students of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTMCPP) conducted a University Corporate Engagement programme called Show Your Voice under the supervision of their instructor, Ms Marni Jamil from the Academy of Language Studies, UiTMCPP. The student-led programme organised on 11 December 2022 from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Laman Perdana, UiTMCPP, was generously sponsored by He & She Coffee, UiTMCPP and Digi Telecommunications. The programme participants were pre-commerce (PBA002/PBA003) students of the UiTM Pre-Higher Education Programme, UiTMCPP. In the first session, Ms Marni Jamil started the event by stressing the importance of inclusion and diversity, as well as building professional networking through her speech, Building Bridges and Longer Tables. Full text linkEncik Muhammad Aiman Abdul Halim dan Cik Marni Jamil, pensyarah dari Akademi Pengajian Bahasa, Universiti Teknologi MARA Cawangan Pulau Pinang (UiTMCPP), telah diberi peluang untuk berkolaborasi dengan Bahagian Hal Ehwal Akademik UiTMCPP bagi merealisasikan projek rakaman suara arahan peperiksaan akhir daiam Bahasa Melayu dan Bahasa Inggeris untuk memantapkan proses peperiksaan yang sedia ada. Projek ini merupakan satu penambahbaikan daripada kaedah sebelumnya yang mana arahan dibacakan secara langsung oteh ketua pengawas peperiksaan. Kaedah rakaman suara yang merupakan hasil buah fikiran dan inovasi oleh pihak Bahagian Hal Ehwal Akademik UiTMCPP ini buat julung kalinya digunapakai untuk arahan peperiksaan akhir Julai 2024 di UiTM Cawangan Pulau Pinang Kampus Permatang Pauh dan Kampus Bertam. As an alumna of UiTM, this contribution shows a commitment to give back to the prestigious institution that plays a pivotal role in shaping academic and personal development. The programme was held on 28 August 2023 and conducted in the Seminar Room of the Islamic Centre, UiTMCPP. The implementation of this ambitious program was facilitated by the collaborative support of the UiTMCPP management, APB lecturers, the Islamic Centre, He & She Coffee, and Mardelish. The diverse contributions from individuals in various capacities played a crucial role in ensuring the success of STS 1.0

Selain itu faktor eksternal seperti kurangnya keberadaan produk substitusi juga mendukung perkembangan usaha anggrek Marni ini. Namun kenyataannya keterbatasan modal masih menjadi kendala bagi usaha anggrek Marni sehingga usaha ini tidak mengalami perkembangan dilihat dari skala produksi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keuntungan yang diperoleh dan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor internal dan eksternal yang mempengaruhi perkembangan usaha anggrek Marni di Kota Banda Aceh. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah usaha anggrek Marni di Kota Banda Aceh. Metode pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah metode study kasus. Metode pengolahan dan analisis data terdiri dari analisis deskriptif, analisis keuntungan untuk mengaanalisis keuntungan yang diperoleh usaha tanaman anggrek Marni dan analisis SWOT untuk menganalisis lingkungan bagi usaha tanaman hias anggrek Marni di Kota Banda Aceh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat keuntungan yang diperoleh yaitu sebesar Rp.3.090.362 untuk setiap bulannya dan faktor-faktor internal yang mempengaruhi usaha anggrek Marni terdiri dari kekuatan dan kelemahan. Sedangkan faktor-faktor eksternal yang mempengaruhi usaha tanaman hias anggrek Marni di Kota Banda Aceh terdiri dari peluang dan ancaman.Kata kunci: keuntungan, usaha tanaman hias, tanaman anggrek?ENTREPRENEURIAL ORNAMENTAL PLANTS ORCHID(CASE STUDY IN BUSINESS Marni ORCHID)IN THE BANDA ACEH CITYVira Nanda Maidila/ Agribusiness Unsyiah ABSTRACTAvailability of internal factors such as the location of the product and strategic business area and easy to reach a supporting factor Marni orchid business in Banda Aceh to survive. The purpose of this study was to determine the benefits and identifying the internal and external factors that influence the development of orchid business Marni in Banda Aceh. The object of this research is an attempt orchid Marni in Banda Aceh. The sampling method in this research is a case study method. Methods of processing and data analysis consisted of descriptive analysis, analysis of profit for the business benefits mengaanalisis orchids Marni and SWOT analysis to analyze the business environment for Marni orchid plants in Banda Aceh. The results showed the level of profits in the amount of Rp.3.090.362 for each month and internal factors that affect your business Marni orchids consists of strengths and weaknesses.
