The role of chordal apparatus and coaptation length in the progression towards mitral valve prolapse: biomechanical insight through FE modeling
No full textDegenerative mitral valve prolapse (MVP) affects up to 3% of the population and may lead to serious complications and alterations in MV biomechanics. In the case of severe MVP, leaflet coaptation is restored by surgical or transcatheter repair; even if coaptation is restored, a reduced coaptation length correlates with subsequent recurrent mitral regurgitation. Here, we used high-fidelity finite element models based on cardiac magnetic resonance imaging to systematically test if stress overloads on the MV, possibly driving MV remodeling, are induced by a reduction in coaptation or chordae tendineae support

No full textEn “El origen de la obra de arte” aparece por primera vez el concepto de tierra, junto al concepto de mundo. ¿Cómo comprender estos dos términos? En este trabajo me propongo explicar estos conceptos desde la teoría de la enunciación, más precisamente sirviéndonos como marco conceptual de la teoría de la representación del francés Louis Marin. No busco rastrear una posible influencia de Heidegger en Marin, sino más bien aplicar las nociones de transitividad y reflexividad (o transparencia y opacidad) para esclarecer el par de conceptos de mundo y tierra en “El origen de la obra de arte”.In “The Origin of the Work of Art” appears for the first time the concept of earth, together with the concept of world. How to understand these two terms? In this paper I propose to explain these concepts from the theory of enunciation, more precisely using as a conceptual framework the theory of representation of Louis Marin. Una aproximación psicológica al líder en la organización
No full textNuestro trabajo revisa algunas de las características que describen el comportamiento en las organizaciones de los individuos denominados líderes; en él, se describen algunas de las definiciones del líder que se encuentra entre la literatura, para describir un comportamiento que permite la dirección de un grupo y fundamenta un estilo particular en cada uno de estos personajes. Por medio de la elaboración de varios capítulos establecimos las diferentes propuestas de líderes desde lo funcional, y partiendo de diferentes consideraciones tales como las habilidades que sostienen las competencias que permiten la identificación de estos dentro y fuera de la organización. El liderazgo en las distintas organizaciones es considerado un factor fundamental porque es a través de éste que se direcciona una institución para alcanzar los objetivos y metas, es el que marca la diferencia entre el trabajo y los empleados, es decir, sin este aspecto, en las empresas, instituciones y otras organizaciones no habría un reconocimiento del trabajador como persona. Dentro de los temas de este trabajo se encuentran las habilidades que posee un ser humano para ser denominado líder, también los rasgos de personalidad que establecen una interacción que diferencia su trabajo y sus funciones de las demás personas, y, también retomamos elementos propios de la psicología en la que se evidencia la necesidad del ser humano para superarse a sí mismo y establecer la línea que va a trazar su vida en la organización; entendiendo la motivación y la autorrealización como ese elemento clave en el momento de evaluar el trabajo de un líder. Se denomina un líder integral partiendo desde lo general que nos ofrece la literatura y complementamos una configuración interna en la que se establecen unos valores que complementan el trabajo de un líder; pasamos por conceptos claros como el trabajo del líder dentro de un grupo, la habilidad que corresponde a cada uno de ellos, rasgos de personalidad y autorrealización como marco de referencia del que parte cada profesional establecido como líder y que permite un visión de el mismo integral

No full textThis study focuses on Mateo Alemán's literary production on the light of Pinciano's «Philopoesia» whereby it is demonstrated that the poetic dimension of the Guzmán when conjugating «comedy», «satire» and «tragedy» within the frame of epic poems tends to give a «pathetic» dimension to the author cum galley-slave which is incompatible with the hypothesis of his final liberation.Cette étude envisage la production littéraire de Mateo Alemán à la lumière de la "Philopoèsie" du Pinciano. Il s'agit de montrer, en particulier, que la poétique du Guzmán, en conjuguant dans le cadre du poème épique la « comédie », la « satire » et la «tragédie », tend à doter le galérien-écrivain d'une dimension « pathétique » incompatible avec l'hypothèse de sa libération finale.Este estudio enfoca la producción literaria de Mateo Alemán desde los presupuestos de la « Philopoesía » del Pinciano.
