Survey on Technical knowledge and Use of production contracts in legume value-chains
The main objective of this survey is to examine the role of contractual arrangements between the value chain stakeholders on the development of technical knowledge on grain-legume crops.
Developing grain-legumes both in cropping systems and in end-uses suffer from a knowledge gap among practitioners. This gap need to be fulfilled to increase grain-legume competitiveness. Hence, practitioners (or stakeholders) need to develop and exchange knowledge that they need for the running of the value chain based on legumes. This survey will allow understanding how the governance of grain-legume transactions between the stakeholders influences knowledge creation, exchange and thus collective learning in the value chains.
This survey was conducted with stakeholders from various value chains on chickpea, on soyabean, on pea and fababean in ten European countries Danemark, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, and United Kingdom.
The survey attached is the one used for chickpea. The questions addressed are the same for other crops.
Thesurvey was organized within the H2020 LEGVALUE project
Worldwide Food Science and Technology on pulses and soya : a bibliometric dataset (1956-2017)
A bibliometric corpus of 39,036 records (UT codes) retrieved and cleaned from the Web of Knowledge (WoS), dealing with main topics of the Food Science and Technology field, on pulses (18 species and varieties of pulses cultivated in temperate climates considered) and soya. The corpus gathers records such as articles, book, book chapters, and reviews, in the world. Note that the search queries used excluded the soya oil topics. Those search queries are available in another dataset. The methodology applied to retrieve and clean those bibliometrics data is explained in Magrini et al. (2019): https://doi.org/10.3390/su1123683
European Food Science and Technology on pulses : a bibliometric dataset (1980-2018)
A bibliometric corpus retrieved from the Web of Knowledge (WoS), dealing with main topics of the Food Science and Technology field, and on pulses (18 species and varieties of pulses cultivated in temperate climates considered). The corpus gathers records such as articles, book, book chapters, and reviews, written by at least one author located in a European country (from UE28)
Socioeconomics and Grain-Legumes WoS DataSet 1980-2018
The text file corresponds to the search query capturing the main socioeconomic research theme on grain-legumes (both soya and pulses, see Species Grain-Legumes WoS dataset) to be applied on the WoS (Web of Knowledge). This search query is restricted to the main types of scientific literature documents, namely the types: article, book, book chapter, and review. This translated into the query DT = ("Article" OR "Book" OR "Book Chapter" OR "Review"); the time range selected is 1980-2018 (PY = "1980-2018"). Socioeconomic theme refers to various subjects such as funding of work on breeding activities, farmers’ production choices, feed practices and business, consumer behaviors, market functioning, policies, etc. UT file corresponds to the results of this search query (UT refers to a WoS unique identifier for each record retrieved) after a post-processing step which eliminated the records captured by the Wos KeyWord Plus : ie, the UT file correspond to records containing terms of the search query only in title, abstract, and (regular) keywords. See the related publication for more information
Acceptability and Grain-Legumes WoS DataSet 1980-2018
The text file corresponds to the search query capturing the main research theme on consumer acceptance of grain-legumes (both soya and pulses, see Species Grain-Legumes WoS dataset) to be applied on the WoS (Web of Knowledge). Acceptability theme refers here only to sensorial and organoleptic analysis for consumer acceptance.
Grain-Legumes Species WoS DataSet 1980-2018
The text file corresponds to the search query capturing the main grain-legumes species cultivated in temperate climate (both soya and pulses) to be applied on the WoS (Web of Knowledge). Names used (latin or uses names) are the ones to designate the main grain-legume species and varieties cultivated in temperate climates. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
