Solution Processed Bathocuproine for Organic Solar Cells
Publisher Copyright: © 2017 IEEE.PTB7/PC71BM bulk heterojunction solar cell devices where the conventional calcium hole-blocking layer has been replaced by a solution processed bathocuproine (BCP) layer is described. The BCP thin film was deposited via spin coating from a dilute solution of BCP in a mixture of toluene and methanol directly on the top of the active layer. The silver cathode was subsequently deposited via thermal evaporation. The study shows that solar cells devices comprising solution-processed BCP show similar performance than devices made from either calcium or evaporated BCP. Moreover, the devices made from solution-processed BCP show superior stability in air than calcium and evaporated BCP-based devices. This is to the best of our knowledge, the first report of the use of solution processed BCP in organic solar cells.Manuscript received July 26, 2017; revised October 20, 2017; accepted November 28, 2017. Encapsulation of flavors and aromas: Controlled release
Ongoing research on biodegradable/edible lms is being made, and there is a great interest to make this knowledge more widely available and used. In the last 30 years, considerable progress has been made in developing these materials driven by the increasing consumer demand for safe, high-quality, convenient food with long shelf lives, along with an ecological awareness of the limited natural resources and the environmental impact of packaging waste (Janjarasskul and Krochta 2010; Kester and Fennema 1986). Nevertheless, the use of edible lms or coatings to extend storage life of food is an ancient human practice of food preservation. Some examples of those old practices are fruit waxing used since the twelfth century in China, meat larding used in England since the sixteenth century (Kester and Fennema 1986), and the production of soy lms from soy milk (yuba) traditionally employed in the Orient to wrap and shape ground meats or vegetables (Gennadios and Weller 1991).Fil: Bertuzzi, Maria Alejandra. Two new techniques for non-destructive core analysis: Hyperspectral reflectance spectrometer and modular core scanning platform
[EN] The IGME has recently acquired modern analytical infrastructures co-funded by the European Union NextGenerationEU for the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism (Project code C17.I7). These infrastructures allow obtaining a multitude of data at high spatial resolution without destroying the sample in a fast and relatively cheap way. We describe here the hyperspectral reflectance spectrometer and the multisensor platform located in Tres Cantos and Peñarroya core-repository respectively.Peer reviewe
La metodología de recolección y análisis de información se hace en la observación participante apoyada en grabaciones, videos y formularios en línea dinamizando la participación de las familias, las experiencias son registradas en el diario de campo; el resultado esperado es fortalecer la participación de todos como sujetos con voz propia, ciudadanos abiertos a escuchar, identificar y poner en común sus puntos de vista, contribuyendo a hacer realidad comunidades más tolerantes e incluyentes desde la conciencia de sí y del otro, de las improntas culturales que marcan el comportamiento, donde el diálogo fortalece la capacidad para escuchar la voz del otro con el fin de evolucionar hacia la participación como hábito de ”transformación positiva, social e individual” Montero (2004).This applied Project of the master´s degree in psycho logy as a subject of the of U N A D arises from the question How to strengthen community participation through intercultural dialogue with the children of transition afternoon day of the school La Floresta sur I E D town of Kennedy in Bogota D.c.it is proposed to seek the participation of 25families from different regions of Colombia and Venezuela since it is possible to dynamically verbal , gestural, body communication playful and represented by principles values traditions that unite groups and prepare them to participate this challenge is mediated by the communicative action raised by Habermas and Montero´s concept of other ness and Freire’s sociocritical paradigm applicable to intercultural dialogue in characterization phases, characterization , identification , strengthening empowerment of energizer that guarantee the continuity of the exercise and the complementation in the classroom a methodology of collection and analysis of information it is done in the observation, participant supported by recording , videos and online forms stimulating the participation of the families, the experiences are recorded in the in the logbook or in the field diary the expected result or objective is to strengthens the participation own voice citizens open to listen, identify and share their points of view contributing to make tolerant and inclusive communities a really from the awareness of oneself and of the cultural imprints that mark the behavior where dialogue strengthens the capacity to listen to the voice of the other in order to evolve towards participation as a habit of “Transformation positive individual social “ Montero 200
Transport Phenomena in Films and Coatings Including Their Mathematical Modeling
In the present chapter, two examples related to transport phenomena in films and coatings are discussed. One of them represents the heat and mass transfer process in fried foods that were covered with an edible coating based on methylcellulose (MC). This is an alternative to reduce oil uptake (OU) in fried foods due to its lipid-barrier properties. The following aspects are discussed: (1) mathematical modeling of heat and moisture transfer during the deep-fat frying of food, (2) experimental validation of the mathematical model with regard to the temperature profiles and the water losses from the food product, (3) analysis of the relationship between the OU measurements and microstructural changes developed, and (4) performance of applying an edible coating based on MC on a food model dough system. The mathematical model of the frying process based on the numerical solution of the heat and mass transfer differential equations under unsteady-state conditions was proposed and solved. It allows simulating satisfactorily the experimental data of temperature and water content during the different frying stages. OU was also linearly correlated with water loss at the initial frying stage. A simple equation for OU as a function of frying times was proposed, considering the microstructural changes developed during the frying process. The presence of MC coating reduced the OU, modifying the wetting properties and also becoming a mechanical barrier to the oil.The second example represents the mathematical modeling of potassium sorbate release from a starch biodegradable active film to a model food system represented by a gel in contact with the active film.Mass transfer partial differential equations in nonstationary conditions were numerically solved using the finite element method. The model assumes a constant initial mass of antimicrobial in the active film that diffuses through the film penetrating in the food system. The numerical solution allowed the determination of the diffusion coefficients of the antimicrobial agent in both, the film and the gel. Concentration profiles were simulated to predict the time period in which the antimicrobial concentration can be maintained above the critical inhibitory concentration in the packaged food.Experimental data of sorbate diffusion from active films and from a liquid solution to the semisolid medium were compared with the predicted concentration profiles. The model allows the simulation of nonstationary diffusion of different additives incorporated to polymeric matrixes, taking into account the preservative concentration in the film and the dimensions of the semisolid food system.Fil: Garcia, Maria Alejandra.
Contemporaneous societies introduced the world to conflicting and fragmented subjects who transit times and spaces that don't conform to the traditional concepts of chronology and linearity. In the same context, nations lost their prerogative to tradition and are situated less in territories with well-defined borders than in places that are hard to identify. Given those characteristics, the current debate is about how to remember the past and what kinds of identity are possible after the crisis of the subject and the "I" has lost its centrality. The literature has produced new characters that deal with those transformations. In Latin-American romances, in particular, figures that respond to contemporaneous questions based on the confrontation of a dictatorial past and the need for memory preservation are emblematic. They preconize the reinterpretation of facts and the restructuring of the individual in the direction of an unknown future, one that features a multifaceted identity. Those are the post-dictatorial subjects
