La intenció principal d’aquest projecte és el disseny i la fabricació d’una lluminària per il·luminar passos de vianants, alimentada amb energia solar, de tal manera, que pugui garantir la il·luminació del pas durant tota la nit, sense cap subministrament elèctric extern, a part de solucionar alguns dels problemes que tenen els passos de vianants per ser il·luminats.
Des de el principi es va veure que hi hauria dues branques generals en el disseny de la nova lluminària; una és el disseny en si i l’altre, l’anàlisi dels components electrònics per intentar millorar el rendiment de la lluminària que ja fabricava l’empresa NORFEUS.
Un altre objectiu és solucionar un problema de posició de la lluminària i aconseguir que el nou model compacte, es pugui aproximar a la capacitat que té el model de dos mòduls que ja estava en funcionament.
Al finalitzar aquest projecte s’ha aconseguit tenir un disseny complert de la lluminària, fer les comprovacions de tots els seus components i resoldre l’eficient il·luminació dels passos de vianants. També s’ha fet un anàlisi de costos i s’ha vist que es factible i rentable de treure al mercat. The main intention of this project was the design and manufacture of a light to illuminate pedestrian crossings, powered by solar energy. In such a way that it can guarantee the lighting of the passage throughout the night, without any external electrical supply. It would also solve some of the problems that pedestrian crossings have to be safe illuminated.
From the beginning it was seen that there would be two general branches in the design of the new light: one was the design itself and the other, the checking of the electronic components in order to improve the performance of the light, that was already manufactured by the company NORFEUS.
Another goal was to solve a problem with the position of the light and to ensure that the new compact model could approach the capacity of the two-module model that was already in operation.
At the end of this project, it has been possible to have a complete design of the light fixture, to check its components and to solve the efficient lighting of the pedestrian crossings. A cost analysis has also been done and it concludes that it is feasible and profitable to bring the model to the market. So, the model is ready for manufacturing

No full textTreball de Final de Grau en Traducció i Interpretació. Codi: TI0983. Curs acadèmic 2022/2023Aquest Treball de Final de Grau de traducció literària consisteix en una proposta de traducció del
francés al valencià d’un capítol de la novel·la Les Impatientes i la seua anàlisi posterior. Aquesta
obra, guanyadora del Prix Goncourt des Lycéens en 2020, denuncia la situació de les dones al
Camerun actual, on són víctimes del matrimoni forçat, la violació conjugal i la poligàmia
imposada.
L’objectiu d’aquest treball és mostrar els passos que cal seguir a l’hora de fer la traducció d’un
text literari i oferir una anàlisi de les tècniques emprades per a resoldre cada problema que s’ha
presentat al llarg del procés de traducció del fragment. És per això que, primer, es du a terme una
revisió teòrica, en què es defineix què és la traducció literària, els problemes de traducció, les
estratègies i tècniques que hi ha i abordem l’estudi dels registres, els manlleus, la fraseologia i els
referents culturals. Una vegada establertes les eines conceptuals necessàries i gràcies a la
competència traductora assolida durant el grau, procedim a traduir el text i analitzar-lo.
Finalment, s'ha aconseguit obtenir una anàlisi quantitativa que demostra en quin percentatge
s'utilitza cada una de les tècniques tractades en el marc teòric i que confirma les bases que s'havien
establert a l'inici del treball, això és, la clara intenció de conservar la finalitat de l'original i l'efecte
produït en el lector, així com la riquesa estilística

No full text3.000 passos fins al blau gel es una animación generativa creada en Processing, inspirada en el poliedro de Albrecht Dürer. Es un proyecto de Eugènia Agustí y Lali Barrière desarrollado entre 2018 y 2019, en el contexto de investigación de IN>TRA. La Práctica Artística Colaborativa como Modelo de Experiencia: Nuevas Formas y Prototipos en los Procesos de Investigación Artística. En la tesitura de averiguar cómo es algo, tendemos a darle forma. Para ello proponemos un modelo o una imagen que organice un conjunto de elementos, fenómenos o comportamientos que sean visibles desde los medios artísticos. Si consideramos que toda imagen es un término medio entre un ideal y una realidad, la búsqueda por hacerla aprehensible nos lleva a centrar este estudio entorno a un módulo ideal. Un objeto encontrado en virtud de sus posibilidades como elemento generador de una estructura neutra y analítica per se. En nuestro caso es la figura geométrica de un cubo truncado. John Dos Passos: The Individual's Relationship with His Milieu in Three Novels by John Dos Passos
No full textThe following study deals with the individual's relationship with his social, historical and institutional milieu in three novels by John Dos Passos, Manhattan Transfer (1925), U.S.A. (1930-36), and Midcentury (1960). In chapter I, the introduction to this study, I have presented a brief biographical sketch on the author as well as an examination of Dos Passos' choice of an artistic form. Dos Passos' conception of art and the function of the artist as well as Dos Passos' place in the evolution of naturalistic literature have been discussed. The second chapter of this study focuses on the individual in conflict with an urban environment. The effects of this setting upon the individual's psyche forms the crux of my investigation. In chapter III, I have examined Dos Passos' U.S.A trilogy. The individual's relationship with his historical milieu and Dos Passos' essentially Marxist interpretation of history are used as the basis of my analysis. Chapter IV deals with Midcentury. The discussion in this chapter is founded upon the individual's conflict with social institutions, especially American labor organizations. In chapters two, three and four, Dos Passos' anti-deterministic philosophy and his concern with the individual is accentuated. Dos Passos' belief that personal integrity and social responsibility and conscientiousness are the mainstays of the survival of both individual and national liberty is established as the focal point of discussion. The "vag", who embodies this idea, is used as the linking motif between the three studies. Chapter V, the conclusion, discusses Dos Passos' role as both a writer and citizen. Here the instructive and artistic qualities of the three novels examined in this study have been evaluated.Master of Arts (MA
World War I in the novels of John Dos Passos
No full textJohn Dos Passos was one of a "war generation" of young novelists for whom World War I was a source of excitement and then disillusionment. The works of Hemingway, Cummings, and others illustrate this, but for Dos Passos the war became a preoccupation which lasted through most of his writing career. Like many other young novelists, Dos Passos saw the war as an ambulance driver. This gave him direct personal experience with war, which he later utilized in his novels. This study examines three works, First Encounter, Three Soldiers, and U.S.A., to show how Dos Passos reworked the materials of his personal experience each time for a different effect and to a different purpose. First Encounter is a generally direct rendering of Dos Passos' life as an ambulance driver. The central character, Martin Howe, is a sensitive and thoughtful observer much like the young Dos Passos. He embarks for France and the ambulance corps in search of adventure. During his period at the front he undergoes an initiation experience of uncertain nature, which gives him a more mature view of war. The novel is an immature and unsuccessful work, important only for the introduction of motifs which appear in later Dos Passos novels. In Three Soldiers Dos Passos imposes some sort of form on his material. He attempts to combine subjective reactions such as those of Martin Howe with a look at the war from a more distant perspective. There are three main characters, each representing a different level of perception about the war and the army. Dan Fuselli's opinions are all formed by what he sees in the movies; Chrisfield is just beginning to react independently; John Andrews is a highly perceptive musician who thinks for himself. Each struggles with the destructive force of organized military power, and in his own way is defeated. Only John Andrews retains a measure of independence. Dos Passos reinforces his theme with appropriate satiric techniques. U.S.A. is still another expansion of focus. Here the author sees war as part of a network of corruption and injustice which informs all of modern American life. Dos Passos uses the Newsreels, the Biographies, the fictional narratives, and the Camera Eye to relate the war thematically to big business' exploitation of labor and other instances of loss of individual freedoms. As in Three Soldiers Dos Passos is concerned with the struggle of the individual against the huge, impersonal "system." U.S.A. represents as well the most effective satire of the war and of the people who are attracted to it. One strong motif is the use of language as a "smokescreen" which conceals reality when used by unscrupulous people; both fictional and real figures are criticized for this, especially Woodrow Wilson
