First-order logic of uniform attachment random graphs with a given degree

    No full text
In this paper, we prove the first-order convergence law for the uniform attachment random graph with almost all vertices having the same degree. In the considered model, vertices and edges are introduced recursively: at time m+1m+1 we start with a complete graph on m+1m+1 vertices. At step n+1n+1 the vertex n+1n+1 is introduced together with mm edges joining the new vertex with mm vertices chosen uniformly from those vertices of 1,,n1,\ldots,n, whom degree is less then d=2md=2m. To prove the law, we describe the dynamics of the logical equivalence class of the random graph using Markov chains. The convergence law follows from the existence of a limit distribution of the considered Markov chain

Spatially-localized time dependent solutions including turbulence and their interactions in 2D Kolmogorov flow

    No full text
In 2D Kolmogorov flow in small aspect ratio domains, spatially-localized solutions such as kink, traveling or time-dependent kink-antikink pars coexist. However, the conservation of the flow rate in the y direction strongly restrict combination of localized solutions and their positioning. We find that by adding a homogeneous flow U y their positioning is controlled and each of localized solutions including a spatially-localized chaos is isolated. Numerical results suggest that these isolated solutions can be elements constructing a whole flow

This paper must be interpreted as a approach to multimedia education programmes. We related our experience with students of Higher Education, especifically students of Education Science Faculty and students of Geography Faculty. Them were trained and instructed to programme, using author tools, a multimedia about the mountain range in the south of Seville. With this study we expected that students learn to design and evaluate yours multimedia education programmes

Author Co-Citation Analysis (ACA): a powerful tool for representing implicit knowledge of scholar knowledge workers

    No full text
In the last decade, knowledge has emerged as one of the most important and valuable organizational assets. Gradually this importance caused to emergence of new discipline entitled ―knowledge management‖. However one of the major challenges of knowledge management is conversion implicit or tacit knowledge to explicit knowledge. Thus Making knowledge visible so that it can be better accessed, discussed, valued or generally managed is a long-standing objective in knowledge management. Accordingly in this paper author co- citation analysis (ACA) will be proposed as an efficient technique of knowledge visualization in academia (Scholar knowledge workers)
