Interconnected autonomous microgrids in smart grids with self-healing capability
No full textIn order to minimize the number of load shedding in a Microgrid during autonomous operation, islanded neighbour microgrids can be interconnected if they are on a self-healing network and an extra generation capacity is available in Distributed Energy Resources (DER) in one of the microgrids. In this way, the total load in the system of interconnected microgrids can be shared by all the DERs within these microgrids. However, for this purpose, carefully designed self-healing and supply restoration control algorithm, protection systems and communication infrastructure are required at the network and microgrid levels. In this chapter, first a hierarchical control structure is discussed for interconnecting the neighbour autonomous microgrids where the introduced primary control level is the main focus. Through the developed primary control level, it demonstrates how the parallel DERs in the system of multiple interconnected autonomous microgrids can properly share the load in the system. This controller is designed such that the converter-interfaced DERs operate in a voltage-controlled mode following a decentralized power sharing algorithm based on droop control. The switching in the converters is controlled using a linear quadratic regulator based state feedback which is more stable than conventional proportional integrator controllers and this prevents instability among parallel DERs when two microgrids are interconnected. The efficacy of the primary control level of DERs in the system of multiple interconnected autonomous microgrids is validated through simulations considering detailed dynamic models of DERs and converters

No full textBuah apel adalah buah yang sangat difavoritkan pada pecinta apalagi didaerah pegunungan sudah menjadi produksi buah apel manalagi. Buah apel manalagi mempunyai warna hijau dan hampir sama antara warna yang satu dengan yang lainnya. Buah apel yang diliat secara langsung dalam segi tingkat kematangan tidak ada bedanya.
Karena alasan itulah penulis membuat alat untuk mendeteksi tingkat kematangan buah apel dimana proses pendeteksian menggunakan Raspberry dan kamera. Untuk meningkatkan warna penulis memberikan lampu pijar dan indikator kematangan menggunakan lampu led yang sudah dimodifikasi.
Hasil pada uji coba, alat ini memiliki tingkat keakuratan yang tinggi dikarenakan memakai metode First Order Texture. Uji coba dilakukan sebanyak 20 kali dan hasilnya sesuai pada kondisi kenyataan. Dari data yang didapat dalam 20 percobaan mendapatkan tingkat keberhasilan 95% sedangkan untuk tingkat error adalah 5%

Analisis Pengendalian Kualitas Keripik Apel Pada Proses Produksi Menggunakan Metode Six Sigma (Studi Kasus Di Ukm Arjuna 999 Kota Batu, Jawa Timur)
No full textKeripik adalah makanan ringan yang tergolong jenis makanan crackers, yaitu yang bersifat kering dan renyah (crispy). Pada UKM Arjuna 999 yang memproduksi keripik apel masih ditemukan cacat pada produksinya, yaitu bentuk keripik apel tidak bulat penuh/remuk, keripik apel berwarna coklat kehitaman/gosong, dan kemasan yang tidak tertutup rapat. Tujuan penilitian ini untuk menganalisis kapabilitas dan mengevaluasi faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya penyimpangan produk keripik apel pada tahapan proses perajangan, penggorengan, dan pengemasan. Metode Six Sigma dapat digunakan untuk mengukur kapabilitas, menghitung nilai sigma dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan cacat pada proses perajangan, penggorengan, dan pengemasan, serta membuat usulan untuk perbaikan kualitas. Sampel yang diambil pada proses perajangan dan penggorengan sebanyak 150 sampel dengan 10 kali pengambilan dan pada proses pengemasan sebanyak 35 sampel dengan 10 kali pengambilan. UKM Arjuna 999 memiliki indeks kapabilitas sigma untuk proses yang telah distabilkan sebesar 2,20 untuk proses perajangan dengan nilai Final Yield untuk proses yang telah distabilkan sebesar 76,067 %, nilai sigma 2,52 untuk proses penggorengan dengan nilai Final Yield untuk proses yang telah distabilkan sebesar 84,74 %, dan nilai sigma 2,65 untuk proses pengemasan dengan nilai Final Yield untuk proses yang telah distabilkan sebesar 87,428 %. Semua nilai Final Yield berada di atas rata-rata industri Indonesia dengan nilai ≥ 69,15%. Faktor-faktor yang menjadi penyebab cacat pada penggorengan keripik apel yaitu manusia, metode dan lingkungan. Saran yang dapat diberikan berdasarkan hasil penelitian adalah perlu dilakukan perbaikan pada fasilitas kerja serta rekomendasi pemasangan CCTV untuk memantau kinerja karyawan

Regarding the Relationship of Morality, Law and Democracy: on Habermas's "Philosophy of Law" (1992) from a Transcendental-Pragmatic Point of View
No full textIn this paper the author presents the "philosophy of law", of J. Habermas and relates
it with moral philosophy and the theory of democracy. A new "architecture" of discourse differentiation
has resulted from them, which, according to Apel, is problematic This philosopher analyses
the similarities and differences in relation to the initial philosophical principles shared by both of
them. Now, Apel, unlike Habermas, refuses to do away with the difference between empirical social
science and philosophy. Apel insists on the post-metaphysical function of transcendental philosophy
as a transcendental pragmatics of argumentative discourse. From a transcendental point of view,
all possible members of the argumentation community have equal rights in using speech acts for
validation purposes and they have equal responsibility in identifying and solving morally relevant problems of life. The author proceeds to analyze how to ground the procedural principle of discourse
ethics. The need to replace the principle of morality by that of positive law, is also discussed.
To conclude, the equivalence between the universal principle of law and the principle of democracy
is presented.En este artículo, el autor presenta la "filosofía de la ley", sostenida por J. Habermas, en relación con
la filosofía moral y la teoría de la democracia. De ello ha resultado una nueva "arquitectura" de la
diferenciación discursiva con aspectos problemáticos según Apel. Este filósofo analiza las similitudes
y diferencias respecto de las iniciales tomas de posición filosóficas compartidas por ambos.
Ahora Apel, en oposición a Habermas, no acepta abolir la diferencia entre la ciencia social empírica
y la filosofía. Apel insiste, por el contrario, en la función posmetafísica de la filosofía transcendental,
entendida como una pragmática trascendental, en la que todos los posibles miembros de la
comunidad de argumentación tienen iguales derechos al usar los actos del habla con propósitos de
validación e igual corresponsabilidad en identificar y resolver problemas morales relevantes del
mundo vital. El autor se detiene luego en el análisis acerca del fundamento del principio de procedimiento
en la ética del discurso. Se discute también la necesidad de suplantar el principio de moralidad
por el de ley positiva. Finalmente, se estudia la relación de equivalencia entre el principio
universal de la ley y el principio de democracia
High penetration of rooftop photovoltaic cells in low voltage distribution networks: Voltage imbalance and improvement
No full textInstallation of domestic rooftop photovoltaic cells (PVs) is increasing due to feed–in tariff and motivation driven by environmental concerns. Even though the increase in the PV installation is gradual, their locations and ratings are often random. Therefore, such single–phase bi–directional power flow caused by the residential customers can have adverse effect on the voltage imbalance of a three–phase distribution network. In this chapter, a voltage imbalance sensitivity analysis and stochastic evaluation are carried out based on the ratings and locations of single–phase grid–connected rooftop PVs in a residential low voltage distribution network. The stochastic evaluation, based on Monte Carlo method, predicts a failure index of non–standard voltage imbalance in the network in presence of PVs. Later, the application of series and parallel custom power devices are investigated to improve voltage imbalance problem in these feeders. In this regard, first, the effectiveness of these two custom power devices is demonstrated vis–à–vis the voltage imbalance reduction in feeders containing rooftop PVs. Their effectiveness is investigated from the installation location and rating points of view. Later, a Monte Carlo based stochastic analysis is utilized to investigate their efficacy for different uncertainties of load and PV rating and location in the network. This is followed by demonstrating the dynamic feasibility and stability issues of applying these devices in the network
