Perhitungan tulangan elemen struktur berdasarkan SNI 2847 : 2019 tentang Persyaratan Beton Struktural Untuk Bangunan Gedung. ================================================================================================ Tower B2 Mahata Serpong Apartment is an apartment building in the South Tangerang area, Province of Banten. This building consists of 34 floors with conventional reinforced concrete construction using a dual system, namely the Special Moment Resisting Frame and shear wall. In this final project, an alternative structural design planned for the Tower B2 building of Mahata Serpong Apartment without using shear wall. The moment-resisting frame system is changed from Special Moment Resistant Frame System to Ordinary Moment Resisting Frame using a Fluid Viscous Damper (FVD). The loading on the structure of the Tower B2 Mahata Serpong Apartment based on SNI 1726: 2019 concerning Procedures for Planning Earthquake Resistance for Building and Non-Building Structures and SNI 1727: 2020 concerning Minimum Loads for Planning of Buildings and other Structures. The crisis of non-renewable energy and environmental conservation have become major concerns worldwide. The Indonesian government has responded by launching a national movement to conserve energy. One concrete step taken is the implementation of the Green Building concept, which minimizes resource consumption and maximizes the use of natural resources. In Indonesia, green building assessments are conducted by the Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI) through the Greenship tool, while internationally, the EDGE application is used for green building certification. For this research use EDGE application for assessing the study case building. This study aims to optimize energy efficiency at Apartemen Mahata Serpong using the EDGE application. The research is expected to reveal the level of energy savings at Apartemen Mahata Serpong and how well the building meets green building criteria. The study begins with data collection, followed by analysis using the EDGE application. The EDGE analysis shows that the existing energy usage at Apartemen Mahata Serpong is 5,88%. After implementing smart meters and a photovoltaic-based renewable energy system, energy efficiency increased to 8,44%. Utility costs also decreased from Rp. 190,377,164 before optimization to Rp. 186,524,222 after optimization

Probing the chirality-dependent elastic properties and crack propagation behavior of single and bilayer stanene

Stanene, a quasi-two-dimensional honeycomb-like structure of tin belonging to the family of 2D-Xenes (X = Si, Ge, Sn) has recently been reported to show promising electronic, optical and mechanical properties. This paper investigates the elastic moduli and crack propagation behaviour of single layer and bilayer stanene based on molecular dynamics simulations, which have been performed using the Tersoff bond order potential (BOP). We have parameterized the interlayer van der Waals interactions for the bilayer Lennard-Jones potential in the case of bilayer stanene. Density functional calculations are performed to fit the Lennard-Jones parameters for the properties which are not available from the scientific literature. The effect of temperature and strain rate on the mechanical properties of stanene is investigated for both single layer and bilayer stanene in the armchair and zigzag directions. The results reveal that both the fracture strength and strain of stanene decrease with increasing temperature, while at higher loading rate, the material is found to exhibit higher fracture strength and strain. The effect of chirality on the elastic moduli of stanene is explained on the basis of a physics-based analytical approach, wherein the fundamental interaction between the shear modulus and Young's modulus is elucidated. To provide a realistic perspective, we have investigated the compound effect of uncertainty on the elastic moduli of stanene based on an efficient analytical approach. Large-scale Monte Carlo simulations are carried out considering different degrees of stochasticity. The in-depth results on mechanical properties presented in this article will further aid the adoption of stanene as a potential nano-electro-optical substitute with exciting features such as 2D topological insulating properties with a large bandgap, the capability to support enhanced thermoelectric performance, topological superconductivity and a quantum anomalous Hall effect at near-room-temperature.</p

Chromogranin A and its fragments in cardiovascular, immunometabolic, and cancer regulation

    No full text
Chromogranin A (CgA)—the index member of the chromogranin/secretogranin secretory protein family—is ubiquitously distributed in endocrine, neuroendocrine, and immune cells. Elevated levels of CgA-related polypeptides, consisting of full-length molecules and fragments, are detected in the blood of patients suffering from neuroendocrine tumors, heart failure, renal failure, hypertension, rheumatoid arthritis, and inflammatory bowel disease. Full-length CgA and various CgA-derived peptides, including vasostatin-1, pancreastatin, catestatin, and serpinin, are expressed at different relative levels in normal and pathological conditions and exert diverse, and sometime opposite, biological functions. For example, CgA is overexpressed in genetic hypertension, whereas catestatin is diminished. In rodents, the administration of catestatin decreases hypertension, cardiac contractility, obesity, atherosclerosis, and inflammation, and it improves insulin sensitivity. By contrast, pancreastatin is elevated in diabetic patients, and the administration of this peptide to obese mice decreases insulin sensitivity and increases inflammation. CgA and the N-terminal fragment of vasostatin-1 can enhance the endothelial barrier function, exert antiangiogenic effects, and inhibit tumor growth in animal models, whereas CgA fragments lacking the CgA C-terminal region promote angiogenesis and tumor growth. Overall, the CgA system, consisting of full-length CgA and its fragments, is emerging as an important and complex player in cardiovascular, immunometabolic, and cancer regulation
