A política de educação profissional do governo Dilma : o direito à educação no contexto da expansão da rede federal de educação profissional e do Pronatec
Get PDFThe historical and hegemonic form of basic and professional education in Brazil has been constituted through a type of school supply and qualification by actions and programs that have not yet succeeded in overcoming the structural duality between intellectual work and manual work. They emphasize the educational duality that destines precarious basic public education for early insertion in the labor work for "everybody" and they also destine good quality education related to higher education for "few people". On the other hand, the proposed expansion of the EPCT Federal Network, started in 2005 during president Lula government (2003 to 2010), in a context of economic growth and revenue growth. It expanded the role of the State offering basic and professional Education through the Federal Institutes foundation. President Lula government consolidated the bases for structuring the offer of Technical and Professional Education Integrated to High School. President Dilma government (2011 to 2016), while continuing the Institutes expansion, in a context of a deepening capital crisis and also fiscal crisis, it launches Pronatec, prioritizing the supply of short courses and channeling large huge resources to the System S, the government limits the process of structuring the right to basic and professional education. Considering the materiality resulting from this process, this work aimed to analyze the right to professional education in Brazil at the Federal Network also in Ifes campus São Mateus from 2011 to 2014. From the conception of work as an ontological and historical form, we based on historical-dialectical materialism as a theoretical-methodological reference. As a research technique, we worked with documentary analysis and interviews with the subjects involved in the Integrated Technical Courses and from Ifes Campus São Mateus. The results of this research demonstrated that although Pronatec has as one of its actions to strengthen and to democratize the Federal Network and professional education in the country, the core of its incidence focused on System S offer. They also indicated that the Federal Network Expansion, by establishing the Integrated Higher Education offer as a priority, places itself as a structuring action of the State, strengthening professional education as a right. In parallel, the priority established with Pronatec, with the offer of FIC courses, contributed much less to the consolidation of the right to education and work, as it reproduced the process of precarious training for the occupation of low-skilled jobs, and low remuneration, reinforcing the reproduction of the false duality between training for manual labor and intellectual workA forma histórica e hegemônica de educação escolar básica e profissional do país vem se constituindo por meio de um tipo de oferta escolar e de qualificação que se caracterizam por ações e programas que ainda não lograram êxito em superar a dualidade estrutural entre trabalho intelectual e trabalho manual e que reforçam a dualidade educacional que reserva educação básica pública precária para inserção precoce no trabalho para “todos” e educação de qualidade com acesso ao ensino superior para “poucos”. Em sentido contrário, a proposta de Expansão da Rede Federal de EPCT, iniciada em 2005, no governo Lula (2003 a 2010), num contexto de crescimento econômico e de crescimento da arrecadação, buscou ampliar o papel do Estado na oferta de educação básica e profissional de qualidade por meio da criação dos Institutos Federais, fortalecendo as bases para estruturação da oferta de educação profissional Técnica Integrada ao ensino médio. O governo Dilma (2011 a 2016), embora dando prosseguimento ao movimento de Expansão, num contexto de aprofundamento da crise do capital e de crise fiscal iminente, lança o Pronatec, priorizando a oferta de cursos de curta duração e canalizado vultosos recursos para o Sistema S, limitando o processo de estruturação do direito à educação básica e profissional. Tendo em vista a materialidade resultante desse processo, esse trabalho objetivou analisar o direito à educação profissional em nível nacional na Rede Federal e em nível local no Ifes, tomando como marco temporal o intervalo de 2011 a 2014. Partindo da concepção do trabalho como forma histórica e ontológica, pautou-se no materialismo histórico-dialético como referencial teóricometodológico. Como técnica de pesquisa, adotou a análise documental e as entrevistas, realizadas com os sujeitos envolvidos nos Cursos Técnicos Integrados e no Pronatec do Campus São Mateus. Os resultados dessa pesquisa demonstraram que embora o Pronatec tenha como uma de suas ações fortalecer e democratizar a Rede Federal e a educação profissional no país, o cerne de sua incidência concentrou-se sobre a oferta no Sistema S. Indicaram ainda que a Expansão da Rede Federal, ao estabelecer a oferta de Ensino Médio Integrado como prioridade, coloca-se como uma ação estruturante do Estado, fortalecendo a educação profissional como direito. Em paralelo, a prioridade estabelecida com o Pronatec, com a oferta de cursos FIC, contribuiu muito menos para a consolidação do direito à educação e ao trabalho, na medida em que reproduziu o processo de formação precária para ocupação de postos de trabalho de baixa qualificação e baixa remuneração, reforçando a reprodução da falsa dualidade entre formação para o trabalho manual e trabalho intelectua
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Con base en el delineamiento del desarrollo histórico de los modelos de formación profesional en Brasil, identificamos una lógica en relación a las medidas que operan en la perspectiva de la fragilidad curricular de la formación profesional y de la educación secundaria ofertada en el RFEPCT y que se articulan en un doble movimiento de vaciamiento del financiamiento de la educación y de su mercantilización, para brindar formación al mercado y al mercado de la educación.Dans cet article, nous analysons de quelles façons les réformes éducatives des gouvernements Temer et Bolsonaro qui, dans la continuité et l'approfondissement, sont guidées par des principes néoconservateurs et ultra néolibéraux, constituent une menace pour l'espace public avec les attaques en cours contre le Réseau Fédéral de l'Enseignement Professionnel et Technologique (RFEPCT). No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
