Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Digital transformation of retail banking in Morocco: proposed model

Given that our research based on a very meticulous documentary study, we have used dozens of reports to be able to draw the most probable conclusions to confirm or refute our research hypotheses. Twenty-seven annual reports were used, including 17 annual reports on banking supervision, and 10 annual reports on systems and means of payment and their monitoring, covering the period from 2004 to 2020. The objective of this research is to propose a targeted business model to ensure digital transformation for retail banks. Indeed, digitalization can become a key success factor with the main objective is optimising companies' business processes: through the implementation of a business model whose priority (i) the quality of the product or service, (ii) cost control and (iii) real-time availability. Ensuring the digital transformation of Moroccan retail banking means: (1) being able to compete with new entrants; (2) maintaining and improving its market share; (3) ensuring performance

Proposing a New Managerial Model for Digital Transformation

Digital transformation is a gateway to innovation and new models of organization, operations, and business models. The quick response of managers and leaders is becoming the key to successful digital transformation, followed by strategic flexibility according to data testing results. These results highlight the importance of agile leadership in today’s changing organizational environment (Fachrunnisa et al., (2020). Hence why it is imperative to take into consideration all employees’ perceptions of management to avoid resistance to change. Thus, in this research paper, we analyze the current managerial environment to better guide digital transformation through a survey destined for both managers and employees, assessing the current situation of organizational management from a diversity of perspectives. We then propose a new digital transformation managerial model based on significant correlations between the models’ variables using the Chi-squared test. &nbsp

Approche théorique de la gestion des risques

“Risks are present in almost all economic and financial activities of companies”, Dionne G. 2013 and risk management aims to create for them a framework that allows them to deal effectively with risk threats and uncertainty. According to Dodier (1994) risk management and security production are intimately linked. However several authors / researchers (Lander et al 2009, Bozek and Tworek 2011, Kimball 2000, Stulz 2008, Hubbard and Jorion 2009) claim that even the best Risk management framework does not protect firms from the consequences of risk, and an even perfectly executed risk management does not guarantee the non-occurrence of large losses. The main purpose of this article is to limit risk management, through a fairly global presentation of the term, all the while paying close attention to its scope and limits. Through a review of conceptual literature, we were able to study the different theories of risk management, and were able to see the extent of its field and its different benefits, as well as its limits and the shocks that can result.   Key words: Risk, risk management, ERM, limits, uncertainties, firms, losses, success, failure. Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

According to Borgelt (2007), “Risk taking is essential for leading innovation and change effectively, yet risk taking is increasingly difficult in a risk management environment. » Given the presence of risks in all economic and financial activities, risk management is nowadays an imperative among the various players in the economic fabric. It can prove to be a crucial element that influences the success or failure of financial institutions in general, and microfinance institutions in particular. This article is carried out with the aim of evaluating/identifying, through a review of conceptual literature, the notion of innovation and what it invites as risks and the means of managing and protecting them in an environment as special as that of Microfinance which is today recognized as an economic and social lever throughout the world. We will see the chronological evolution of innovation, its different types, its common points and differences with microfinance as well as the risks it runs and how to manage them.   Keywords: Social Innovation, Managerial Innovation, Risk Management, Microfinance, Microfinance Institutions.
