An example of a building service LCA for a new hospital’s operating room
No full textThe paper deals with the environmental Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of HVAC plants operating in an emergency ward of a major hospital building in North of Italy. The analysis was performed in order to evaluate the environmental impact of individual components such as heat generators, heat pumps, air handling units and distribution systems and their effects on the overall environmental balance of the HVAC system.
When a component is utilized in a circuit for functional wards, LCA takes only into account of the fractional environmental
damage to that particular ward. The assessment was made using the Dutch code SimaPro 5.0® in accordance to
EcoIndicator 99 thus enabling quantification of the environmental damage due to different impacts. In this analysis the software uses a database built from past cases

No full textIl compendio di Medicina Nucleare si propone di offrire agli studenti del Corso di laurea in Medicina e Chirurgia e del Corso di Laurea in Tecniche di Radiologia Medica, nonchè agli specializzandi nell'ambito della Facoltà di Medicina e Chirurgia, con particolare riguardo ai corsi di specializzazione dell'Area Radiologica, un testo sintetico sui principi generali delle metodiche medico-nucleari e delle loro principali applicazioni cliniche. E' stato dato uno spazio consistente nei capitoli introduttivi alla descrizione delle apparecchiature e dei radiofarmaci, mentre per quanto riguarda le diverse metodiche e le loro applicazioni cliniche si è cercato di limitare la trattazione a quelle che hanno attualmente un'ampia utilizzazione. Oltre alle metodiche della medicina nucleare convenzionale, scintigrafie e tomoscintigrafie (SPECT), è stata rivolta particoalre attenzione alle più recenti metodiche della PET e della PET-TC e al loro ruolo nella stadiazione delle neoplasie, nella valutazione dell'efficacia delle terapie e nella valutazione di ripresa della malattia neoplastica. A methodology for life cycle assessment of building services
No full textThe study described in this paper focussed on the requirements of Life cycle Assessment (LCA) of HVAC system. The
environmental behaviour of an HVAC system evaluated by LCA considers all the process necessary for components
production, use and disposal. A database for Italian conditions was created for examining the environmental impacts of
material, transport, land use and energy consumption of HVAC’s processing and management. The database is capable LCA
of building services. The application of the methodology is proposed for there different heating systems i.e traditional, solar
and heat pump systems for the energy requirements of residential buildings in Rome. The LCA was undertaken by means of
Dutch Code SimaPro 5.0® in accordance to EcoIndicator 99. The LCA of the studies showed that the renewable energy
sources (solar collectors) or high performance (heat pumps) cause low environmental damage for energy consumption but
high impacts on global environmental balance of the plant production resulting from the components

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
No full textWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. No full textThis article ties in with a previous one, Lingua è lavoro e lavoro è lingua by Matilde Grünhage Monetti, published in Italiano LinguaDue, n. 2. 2016. Both papers present the results of the project, Deutsch am Arbeitsplatz (DaA) 1/German in the Workplace 1, funded by the Volkswagen Foundation (VW) (2007-2009). The project investigated workplace communication in Germany in sectors with a high number of migrant workers. It aimed at identifying work-related language skills requirements so as to improve the development of the second language for work for migrant employees and job seekers. While the first article discussed the results of company ethnography carried out by the DaA team, this present paper presents key results of the analysis of a corpus of authentic oral interactions and documents collected during the project and discusses the practical application of choosing recorded authentic oral interactions in training for teachers, providers of work-related L2 and in diversity training for employees of local administrations and at job centers.

Entrambi gli articoli presentano i risultati del progetto, Deutsch am Arbeitsplatz (DaA) 1 / German in the Workplace 1, finanziato dalla Volkswagen Foundation (VW) (2007-2009). Il progetto ha studiato la comunicazione sul posto di lavoro in Germania in settori con un elevato numero di lavoratori migranti, con l’obiettivo di identificare i requisiti delle competenze linguistiche legate al lavoro in modo da migliorare lo sviluppo della seconda lingua per scopi professionali da parte di lavoratori migranti e di persone in cerca di lavoro. Mentre nel primo articolo si sono discussi i risultati di una ricerca di etnografia aziendale effettuata dal team DaA, in questo si presentano i risultati chiave dell’analisi di un corpus di interazioni orali autentiche e di documenti raccolti durante il progetto e discute l’applicazione pratica di una selezione di registrazioni di interazioni orali nella formazione degli insegnanti e di fornitori nella L2 di servizi per il lavoro e nella formazione alla diversità per i dipendenti delle amministrazioni locali e dei centri per l’impiego
