A Thesis Submitted to the Faculty of Animal science & veterinary medicine Sher-E-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka-1207, In partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of MASTER OF SCIENCE IN ANIMAL NUTRITIONThe study was carried out at different wet market of table eggs in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area of Dhaka North City Corporation focusing on the hygienic practice of table egg vendors. It was done by survey and lab test of microbiological analysis of eggshell surface. A questionnaire was used that included the knowledge about food hygiene, egg handling, collection, transportation, storage, disposal procedure etc. Survey findings revealed that, most of the vendors of the selected area completed primary education level (52%), whereas only 6% completed Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC), 34% completed Secondary School Certificate (SSC), and the rest 8% were illiterate. Although many of them were literate, their knowledge about food hygiene was found to be very poor. The results showed that, only 4% vendors wash their hands before and after handling of egg where 96% vendors didn’t wash hands before and after handling of eggs. It also revealed that, only 6% vendors dumped the broken eggs into drain whereas most of the vendors (94%) sold the broken eggs to customer, hotel and restaurant. So, there was a great chance of spreading the diseases if the eggs were contaminated. After completing the survey, laboratory test was conducted to find out pathogen presence in eggshell surface. Different egg samples were collected from different wet market of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area and analyzed for Total Salmonella Count (TSC) and Total Coliform Count (TCC) in egg shell surface. These microbial test was performed to enumerate bacterial load and to determine the contamination and unhygienic conditions of egg handling. A total of 50 eggs (25 dirty & 25 clean eggs) were subjected to identify the presence of bacteria on eggshell surface. The highest value of TSC, TCC of both dirty eggs and clean eggs of eggshell were log 6.3, log 6.34, log 5.00, and log 5.11, respectively. The bacterial load was found highest in dirty eggs compared to clean eggs. Therefore, good hygienic practice is essential for safe handling of eggs. For this reason, appropriate action should be taken among the egg vendors as soon as possible by the government, particularly by the municipal authority

Resonance Stability of Textilebased Stretchable Antennas Under Mechanical Strain

    No full text
Wearable technologies require antennas that can maintain stable performance even when stretched or deformed during everyday use. However, most textile-based stretchable antennas are highly sensitive to mechanical strain, which causes significant detuning, and reduces their reliability in practical applications. This thesis investigates the resonance stability of textile antennas under stretching and develops a strain-insensitive dipole design to address this challenge. Three conventional stretchable antennas, a dipole, bow-tie, and patch were first designed, fabricated, and tested on a stretchable Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM), substrate using conductive textile material. Their S11 characteristics and gain patterns were measured under 0%, 10%, 20%, and 30% strain. The results showed that all three antennas experienced downward shifts in resonant frequency as strain increased. The dipole and patch antennas exhibited the largest changes, while the bow-tie showed only moderate stability due to its wider bandwidth. To improve performance under strain, a new strain-insensitive dipole antenna was developed using a meander-line structure that reduces the effective electrical-length change during stretching. Measurements demonstrated that this design achieved the smallest frequency shift among all antennas tested and maintained acceptable impedance matching across all stretch levels. These results confirm that the proposed antenna offers improved tolerance to mechanical deformation. Overall, the findings indicate that the strain-insensitive dipole is a more reliable and robust solution for wearable applications, where antennas must remain functional despite continuous movement and stretching

This study attempts to identify hotels service attributes that influence tourists’ satisfaction in the context of Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. Descriptive research was conducted to gain an insight into the topic and to investigate the factors. This paper reports findings based on a descriptive study. To conduct this study, a survey was administered to 300 respondents using a non-probability sampling which is a convenience sampling technique. To analyze the data, factor analysis, correlation, regression analysis and frequency distribution table was used. A conceptual model of tourist’s satisfaction based on service attributes of hotels in Cox’s Bazar was proposed based on factor and regression analysis. Seven factors emerged and were used as independent variables in the regression analysis. Findings indicate that some hotel service attributes have a direct influence on tourists’ satisfaction which make them loyal in the context of Cox’s Bazar

ACI or Advanced Chemical Industries (DSE: ACI) is one of the most important Bangladeshi conglomerates. The corporate chiefly deals among 3 reportable segments: prescription drugs, Consumer Brands, and commercial enterprise. ACI was established because of the subsidiary of Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) in 1968. The corporate was renamed Advanced Chemical Industries restricted (ACI Limited) on five could 1992. Shwapno, one of the sister concerns of ACI, is that the best super search brand in the Asian nation. Shwapno is serving over 35000 families everywhere in the Asian nation. ACI Logistics started their super search chain in 2008 as “Fresh and near” to meet the company’s “Seed to Shelf” vision in order that our country’s farmers get an improved marketplace to sell their products. Shwapno created its starting with fresh foods products and daily family wants, now it offers nearly everything from attire, home décor, physics, and far additional. This includes a variety of grocery non-public brands also as the own fashion label Shwapno Life. Today, Shwapno has over one hundred shops across the capital of Bangladesh, Chittagong, Sylhet, and Comilla, and hands of over 2,500. Shwapno works numerous outlet positions from very little comfort a store to expansive megamall formats with the area from one, 500 to 27,000 sq. feet. The corporate is a leader in the retail market (with forty-fifth market share) not solely attributable to the most effective quality, value, convenience, and service it offers customers, however since Shwapno has been productive in structure up Associate in Nursing extremely world category retail planning and looking learning unexampled for the country. I have worked as an Associate in Nursing intern in ACI provision for 3 months within the vogue lifestyle modus vivendi manner mode style way fashion style department. This department is operated to sell fashion products like clothes and shoes for men and ladies and jewelries and accessories for girls. I had the responsibilities to organize sales reports, stock reports, keep the balance of warehouse stock, creating Purchase Orders and Stock Transfer Orders. I also had to speak with outlet managers regarding several problems with stocks and outlet arrangements. The company ought to increase the smoothness of the payment procedure to its suppliers in order that they can have their payment early and may offer their product additional expeditiously. Besides this lifestyle department will add some additional products to its division offerings like several plastic items that are daily necessaries

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
