Documenti musicali antichi con sezioni musicate contigue a sezioni senza note
This paper, published as an appendix to the editio princeps of a Vatican papyrus with musical notation (M.Chiara Martinelli- Rosario Pintaudi, “P.Vat.Gr. 7: un nuovo papiro musicale di età tolemaica”, in La Musa dimenticata. Aspetti dell'esperienza musicale greca in età ellenistica, a cura di M.C. Martinelli, Pisa 2009, pp. 287-292), contains an analysis of the ancient metrical documents with alternation of text with and without musical notation and a discussion of this use within the context of the Greek musical culture in Hellenistic and Roman age
Pseudo time reversal operators for the state of polarization
The existence of three generalized mirrors (Martinelli and Martelli, 2017) that compensate for the effects of birefringence in retracing optical circuits allows to develop a parallel with the time reversal properties. The Wigner time reversal operator for the photon spin is considered and three pseudo time reversal operators borrowed from this original operator are introduced and analysed. Their application to different birefringence situations demonstrates the validity and the fertility of the approach
Filologia e società nella carriera di un maestro greco fra Quattro e Cinquecento: Giorgio Ermonimo di Sparta
The Author reflects on the historical and social aspects of the migration of the Byzantine scholars to Italy and then beyond the Alps after the fall of Constanti- nople and Mistrà, focusing upon on the figure of the Spartan teacher, diplomat and scribe George Hermonymos. In the first part, the Author discusses some problematic aspects of Hermonymos’ biography, as well as some issues related to his manuscript production and his writing. In the second, the Author offers a critical list of all the manuscripts copied, owned and / or annotated by Giorgio Ermonimo known to date, as well as a first census of the printed editions with manuscript interventions by him and, in addition, some examples of his Latin writing
Verso un Repertorio dei copisti greci nelle biblioteche d'Italia
The aim of the paper is to illustrate a project which has the ambition to continue the great enterprise of the Repertorium der Griechischen Kopisten (RGK), in order to cover the missing area of the Italian libraries. In the first part G. De Gregorio draws an historical sketch of the genesis of the project and explains its characteristics as well as its aims. In the second part S. Martinelli Tempesta illustrates the content of the project by means of three specimina, focusing upon three Greek scribes of the Italian Renaissance: Ἀνδρόνικος Κάλλιστος, Δημήτριος Ξανθόπουλος and Γεώργιος Τριβιζίας

Regeneration and genetic transformation in the Vitis genus = [Regeneratie en genetische transformatie in het genus Vitis =
This work is a contribution to the development of regeneration systems and genetic transformation in the Vitis genus and opens interesting perspectives to the application of molecular techniques for study interesting traits, as well as for genetic improvement of grape.Somatic embryogenesis from leaf and petioles has been obtained in V.rupestris S. and the most crucial steps of this morphogenic event have been characterized through a two-dimensional electrophoretic analysis of the total proteins and a study of isozyme patterns of five enzymes. In this genotype, the co-culture of isolated somatic embryos during' secondary embryogenesis induction with Agrobacterium tumefaciens (LBA4404), which contains the plasmid pBI121 carrying the neomycin-phosphotranspherase and the β-glucuronidase genes, proved to be a valuable strategy for the production of stably transgenic plants. The regeneration potential in the Vitis genus during direct organogenesis from young leaves was conducted on 18 different Vitis genotypes, including cultivars of Vitis vinifera L., wild species, rootstocks and a hybrid variety was investigated, opens the possibility to employ in vitro strategies for molecular studies and genetic improvement to valuable grape genotypes too

Chronic myeloid leukemia: the basis of treatment for tomorrow
Recent years have seen dramatic advances in deciphering the molecular pathogenesis of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). This has resulted in the rapid development of many BCR-ABL1-specific tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKI) which have improved 10-year survival to more than 80%. In this paper we focus on some future directions for CML biology and therapy.Angelo M. Carella, John M. Goldman, Giovanni Martinelli, Junia V. Melo, Danilo Perrott
Description of New Species of Fidicinoides Boulard & Martinelli (Hemiptera: Cicadidae) from Brazil
The examination of entomological collections of cicadas of several Brazilian institutions revealed three undescribed species in the genus Fidicinoides Boulard & Martinelli i.e., F. dolosa sp.n., F. carmenae sp.n. and F. rosabasalae sp.n. They are described and illustrated based on the male genitalia, the right anterior femur and the operculum.Fac Integradas FACVEST, BR-88501103 Lages, SC, BrazilUniv Estadual Paulista, Fac Ciencias Agr & Vet, Depto Fitossanidade, BR-14884900 Jaboticabal, SP, BrazilUniv Estadual Paulista, Fac Ciencias Agr & Vet, Depto Fitossanidade, BR-14884900 Jaboticabal, SP, Brazi
