KRITIK ILMIAH DALAM PERSPEKTIF ISLAM
This paper discusses the theory of scientific criticism for the progress and development of science. Science and technology carry out a noble mission, namely for the happiness and good of mankind. In Islam it is also taught that to obtain the good of the world and the hereafter, it is necessary to have knowledge. Therefore, science must always be guarded with a view of life that is full of religious values, so that knowledge is absolutely felt for humans. In this paper, the author focuses on discussing the theory of scientific criticism in an Islamic perspective. Knowing this material is important because the key to the success of Islamic scholarship is the spirit of criticism among Islamic scientists. The main problem that the author discusses in this paper is the definition of scientific criticism in an Islamic perspective, Islamic principles and ethics of scientific criticism, and the function of scientific criticism according to Islam. The conclusion of this paper is that scientific criticism in an Islamic perspective is a response, a correction made by humans based on scientific arguments by looking at theories or practices that are in accordance with religious (Islamic) norms. The Islamic principles regarding scientific criticism are the principle of difference of opinion, ideas or ideas, the principle that criticism is based on benefit, and the principle that criticism must be voiced even though others hate it. The ethics of scientific criticism in an Islamic perspective is that criticism must be objective, rational, intended for a truth, openly expressed, and prioritize the benefit of scientists. The function of scientific criticism according to Islam is to foster critical power, foster an attitude of openness, form an open-minded attitude, and form a laughing intellectual personality
Social and environmental reporting practices of organisations operating in, or sourcing products from, a developing country : evidence from Bangladesh
This research consists of a broad study in three parts of the social and environmental reporting practices of organisations operating in or sourcing products from a developing country, in this case Bangladesh. The first part of this study explores the social and environmental disclosure practices of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), the body responsible for organising the activities of 4,200 entities involved in the export of garments from Bangladesh. By way of interview, this part documents the opinions of numerous senior executives from the BGMEA with regard to any changes in the degree of social and environmental pressures since 1985. Utilising a complementary theoretical perspective that includes legitimacy theory, stakeholder theory and institutional theory this part then performs an analysis of the BGMEA's annual reports (1987-2005), t o explore the link between the perceived pressures and changes entailed therein and the social and environmental disclosure practices of the BGMEA across the period of analysis. The results show that the disclosure practices of BGMEA appear to be directly driven by the changing expectations of multinational buying companies- the group deemed to be the most powerful stakeholder group. This section is the first known study to interview managers from a large organisation in a developing country about shifting stakeholder expectations and then to link these changing expectations to annual report disclosures across an extended period of analysis. \ud

The findings then directly lead to the second major part of this thesis which investigates the social and environmental disclosure practices of two major multinational buying companies: Nike and H&M. Adopting a joint consideration of legitimacy theory and media agenda setting theory, this second part investigates the linkage between negative media attention and positive corporate social and environmental disclosures over a 19 year period. The results support the view that for those industry-related social and environmental issues that attract the greatest amount of negative media attention, these companies react by providing positive social and environmental disclosures. The results were particularly significant in relation to labour practices in developing countries-the issue that attracts the greatest amount of negative media attention for the companies in question. \ud

While the second part demonstrates that the media influences particular disclosure practices, the third part of the thesis shows what drives the media. Based on the speculation provided in the second part, the third part tests the proposition that the media is an important ally of NGOs in their quest to influence change in corporate accountabilities. Through the use of interviews, the results of this part of the study provide evidence to support previously untested perspectives about NGOs' utilisation of the m edia. The results reveal that NGOs use the media because the media is responsible for creating real changes in the operations and disclosure policies of organisations sourcing products from Bangladesh. \ud

KEKERASAN SUAMI TERHADAP ISTRI PERSPEKTIF HUKUM PIDANA ISLAM
Kekerasan dalam rumah tangga khususnya istri kini masih kurang mendapat perhatian, sebagai akibat dari kurangnya informasi dari berbagai media. Hal ini disebabkan masih adanya budaya yang menganggap bahwa kekerasan suami terhadap istri adalah masalah internal keluarga yang harus disimpan rapatrapat. Pelibatan pihak luar terhadap penyelesaian masalah tersebut dianggap tabu.
Budaya patriarkhi dan agama sering menjadi target sasaran serangan isu kekerasan suami terhadap istri. Sebab, budaya patriarkhi dan agama sering dianggap sebagai penyebab terjadinya tindak kekerasan, sekaligus sebagai penyebab tidak. banyak terungkapnya kasus kekerasan suami terhadap istri. Akibatnya, kasus kekerasan suami terhadap istri seperti fenomena gunung es yang hanya menampakkan puncaknya :1nja
Dengan melihat realitas yang ada bahwa masih banyaknya tindak kekerasan suami terhadap istri, maka dalam skripsi ini penyusun mencoba membahas masafah "kekerasan suami terhadap istri perspektif hukum ·pidana Islam".
Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah: Pendekatan Normatif: yaitu pendekatan tcrhadap masalah yang diteliti dengan mengkaji berdasarkan pada hukum syara' agama yang ada kaitannya dengan bentuk dan sanksi tindak kekerasan suami terhadap istri.
Hal ini karena dalam hukum pidana Islam setiap sanksi tindak pidana kejahatan, jika melanggar aturan tentunya diancam Allah dengan hukuman baik itu hadd maupun ta'zir. Untuk kekerasan fisik hukum pidana fslam memberikan sanksi hukuman hadd, kekerasan seksual hukum pidana Islam dikenakan sanksi pidana la 'zir dalam kekerasan psikologis dan kekerasan ekonomi hukwn pidana Islam tidak mcnyebutkan apa san.ksi yang dikenakan terhadap kejahatan tersebut namun bagi bagi suami yang tidak memberi nafkah terhadap istri maka suami mempunyai hutang terhadap istrinya.
Apa yang dikemukakan al-Qur'an memang tidak mencakup seluruh persoalan kekerasan terhadap perempuan. Namun demikian, sebagai kitab suci, banyak ayat yang berbicara mengenai kekerasan terhadap perempuan sudah cukup m njadi bukti bahwa fslam dalam menyikapi kekerasan menyatakan dengan tegas penolakannya. serta memberikan perhatian upaya penghapusan kekerasan terhadap perempuan khususnya terhadap istri. Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosures, Traditionalism and Politics: A Story from a Traditional Setting
© 2016 The Author(s) This paper demonstrates the political perspective of corporate social responsibility (CSR) disclosures and, drawing on Weber’s notion of traditionalism, seeks to explain what motivates companies to make such disclosures in a traditional setting. Annual reports of 23 banking companies in Bangladesh are analysed over the period 2009–2012. This is supplemented by a review of documentary evidence on the political and social activities of corporations and reports published in national and international newspapers. We found that, in the banking companies over the period of study, apparently neutral, corporate, philanthropic activities disclosed and promoted in CSR reports are inextricably linked to powerful leaders’ personal projects and the ruling party’s agendas. We have demonstrated elements of traditional societies, including personal loyalty and the public display of loyalty, the master–servant relationship, and obedience to personal rather than formal authority, provide an understanding of why banks (with or without explicit political linkages with the ruling party) have employed politically charged CSR disclosure strategies. The paper contributes to disclosure studies where political motivations of corporate disclosure rarely discussed. The paper extends the debate on political CSR by demonstrating that the role of family and familial values at the organisational and national levels may be much more important when it comes to CSR disclosure and activities
Design and Performance Analysis of a Flat Plate Collector
In the present work solar thermo-syphon water heating system was designed and performance was tested with single glazing and without glazing. The solar radiation in Dhaka (Latitude 20.34 and 26.38 degree north) in May is 4778 Kwh/m^2 and June is 5416 kwh/m. To keep the cast as minimum as possible the materials are chosen carefully. After fabrication, collector water outlet temperatures, tank outlet temperature, collector plate temperatures, sky condition etc. were recorded to study the performance of the system. On a typical day in the 8th September at 2.15 p.m. the setup achieved an increase in water temperature of 20 degree C within 4 hrs. starting from 10.45 am for solar insulation of 800 W/m^2 with single glazing and in 3rd April at 1.40 pm the setup achieved an increase in water temperature of 15 degree C within 4 hours starting from 8.30 am for solar insulation of 900 w/m^2 without glazing. The performance show that the collector with glazing type may be installed in rural and urban areas where hot water of moderate high temperature is required for day to day us

PERSEPSI DAN MINAT MASYARAKAT TENTANG BANK SYARIAH DI DESA WATESKROYO KECAMATAN BESUKI KABUPATEN TULUNGAGUNG
Skripsi yang berjudul “Persepsi dan Minat Masyarakat Tentang Bank Syariah di Desa Wateskroyo Kecamatan Besuki Kabupaten Tulungagung” ini diteliti oleh Muhamad Fahmi Azizul Farhan, NIM. 12401183239, dan Dosen Pembimbing Dr. Zulfatun Ni’mah, S.H.I, M. Hum.
Bank syariah telah lama hadir di wilayah Kabupaten Tulungagung. Terutama di Desa Wateskroyo Kecamatan Besuki. Meski masyarakatnya mayoritas beragama islam, namun masih banyak yang belum menjadi nasabah bank syariah.
Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu: 1) Bagaimana persepsi masyarakat tentang bank syariah di Desa Wateskroyo Kecamatan Besuki Kabupaten Tulungagung?, 2) Bagaimana minat masyarakat tentang bank syariah di Desa Wateskroyo Kecamatan Besuki Kabupaten Tulungagung?. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai persepsi masyarakat tentang bank syariah dan Untuk mengetahui minat masyarakat tentang bank syariah di Desa Wateskroyo Kecamatan Besuki Kabupaten Tulungagung.
Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Studi kasus ini merupakan studi yang mendalam tentang individu dan berjangka waktu yang relatif lama, terus menerus serta menggunakan objek tunggal, artinya kasus dialami oleh satu orang. Dalam studi kasus peneliti mengumpulkan data mengenai diri subjek dari kedaan masa sebelumnya, masa sekarang dan lingkungan sekitarnya.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Minimnya persepsi masyarakat Desa Wateskroyo tentang bank syariah sangatlah rendah, kurangnya informasi dan sosialisasi dari pihak bank membuat masyarakat tidak mengenal apa itu bank syariah. Meskipun ada yang mengetahui bank syariah tetapi mereka hanya tahu secara umum saja tidak secara mendetail tentang bank syariah, 2) Kurang berminatnya masyarakat Desa Wateskroyo untuk menjadi nasabah bank syariah disebabkan karena kurangnya informasi dari pihak bank syariah. Selain sedikitnya informasi yang didapat, ada hal lain yang membuat masyarakat Desa Wateskroyo masih belum memiliki minat untuk menjadi nasabah di bank syariah yaitu karena letak lokasi bank syariah yang dianggap jauh dari tempat tinggal mereka, membuat mereka lebih memilih menggunakan bank konvensional yang ada di Kecamatan Besuki dimana jarak lokasinya tidak jauh dari tempat tinggal mereka.

Kemajuan teknologi digital telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam gaya
hidup, termasuk meningkatnya penggunaan game online. Tujuan studi ini untuk
mengetahui pengaruh kecanduan game online terhadap kecerdasan emosi pada anggota
komunitas Mobile Legends Indonesia di Telegram, serta menguji peran jenis kelamin
sebagai variabel moderator. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan
desain asosiatif kausal. Sebanyak 495 responden diperoleh melalui teknik
nonprobability sampling dan data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner daring.
Instrumen penelitian diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya, dengan nilai Cronbach's Alpha
sebesar 0,909 untuk skala kecanduan game online dan 0,911 untuk skala kecerdasan
emosi.
Hasil analisis regresi linier sederhana menunjukkan bahwa kecanduan game
online berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap kecerdasan emosi (β = -0,463; p =
0,000), dengan kontribusi sebesar 20,3% (R² = 0,203). Setelah memasukkan variabel
moderasi jenis kelamin melalui uji Analisis regresi moderasi (MRA), diperoleh
interaksi yang signifikan antara kecanduan game online dan jenis kelamin (β = 0,285;
p = 0,001), dengan peningkatan kontribusi model menjadi 22,4% (R² = 0,224). Pada
laki-laki, peningkatan kecanduan game menyebabkan penurunan kecerdasan emosi
yang lebih besar (β = -0.566), sedangkan pada perempuan efek negatif tersebut menjadi
lebih ringan (β = -0.281). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa jenis kelamin memoderasi
hubungan tersebut, di mana laki-laki mengalami penurunan kecerdasan emosi yang
lebih besar dibandingkan perempuan ketika tingkat kecanduan meningkat.
Implikasi dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pengembangan intervensi
berbasis gender untuk memitigasi dampak psikologis dari kecanduan game online,
serta perlunya edukasi emosional di komunitas game digital
