tachometer, avometer, busur derajat, timbangan tarik, stopwatch, gelas ukur, jangka sorong.
Combined performance of coding and equalization for data transmitted over a fading channel
Due to the character of the original source materials and the nature of batch digitization, quality control issues may be present in this document. Please report any quality issues you encounter to [email protected], referencing the URI of the item.Includes bibliographical references.Issued also on microfiche from Lange Micrographics. The problem of data loss on a RF channel has been approached from various perspectives. This research employs Reed Solomon (RS) encodina to combat burst noise and Bilnd Equalization to overcome Inter S Symbol Interference (ISI). This simulation of a RF channel is an improvement over the software based simulation because the processes of modulation, demodulation and channel simulation are done in hardware instead of software. Moreover, the BER curves show that equalization carried out in this research has' little effect on the bit error rate implying that the ISI 0 present in this channel cannot be eliminated using blind equalization with Godard's criterion. However, the RS codes combined with bit interleaving can result in a gain of 0 about 2dB at a bit error probability of 10-'. This hardware based approach has also reduced the time required to. simulate the channel from about 10hours to 20minutes
The effect of big five personality traits on job satisfaction among support staff in Tech Art Sdn Bhd / Dinie Azfar Zabir
Nowadays, the big five personality traits is essential towards job's satisfaction. According to Udoudoh (2012), big five personality traits is a key personality factors, which to find the careers of one's dream that identified as job satisfaction. Based on past researches, big five factor model adequate to describe of personality goes beyond the levels of satisfaction adapted from Judge, (2002) as cited by Paul (2009). In the organization, job satisfaction is necessary to promote functional employees behaviors and workforce that is motivated and committed to elevated good presentation because job satisfaction is a vital indicator of how employees feel sense concerning their jobs and a predictor of work behaviors (Diksha & Shruti, 2012). Furthermore, job satisfaction additionally can partly arbitrate the connection of personality variables and deviant work behaviors (Diksha & Shruti, 2012). Personality traits can be an ilnportant factor and make a difference in job satisfaction because most of researchers found that there was a relationship between five personality traits studied and job satisfaction (Zeki M., 2011). Therefore, this study was carried out to identify the relationship between Big Five Personality Traits and job satisfaction among support staff in Tech Art Sdn Bhd

Cognitive Procedures and Hyperbolic Discounting
"Hyperbolic discount functions are characterized by a relatively high discount rate over short horizons and a relatively low discount rate over long horizons" (Laibson 1997).We suggest two cognitive procedures where individuals perceive future utility as decreasing at a decreasing rate as a function of time.Such a perception is similar to hyperbolic discounting. The first procedure shows that individuals hyperbolically discount marginal utility from money when they follow a cognitive procedure in which they believe that their wealth might increase or decrease in each future period under the constraint of a perceived small probability that wealth will decrease below its current level. The second procedure shows that individuals hyperbolically discount expected utility from consumption when they believe that they will rationalize their actions and thus alter their utility function over time. The difference in how perceived utility changes over the short and long horizon generates the hyperbolic discounting phenomenon. We find that greater tendencies toward rationalization and greater volatility in consumption increase the hyperbolic discounting phenomenon. Although hyperbolic disc ounting is usually regarded as impulsive and irrational, Azfar (1999) and this author suggest that hyperbolic discounting may be rational in some cases.cognitive process;preferences;bias;rationality;marginalism
Which incentives work? An experimental analysis of incentives for trainers
One conjecture in the theory of incentives is that incentives based on broader outcomes may be better at motivating agents than incentives based on narrow measures. We designed an experiment to test these hypotheses using a ""prospective randomized evaluation procedure"" (PREP). We then apply PREP to training programs as typically funded by donors of economic development assistance. We randomly assigned 274 participating entrepreneurs in the Philippines to one of 26, simultaneous, one-day, training classes in marketing. Trainers were given cash incentives based on the average score of their ""students"" on a standardized test containing an alternative number of questions, which were randomly assigned to each class. We then examined outcomes based on student satisfaction ratings of the trainer. Our results suggest that incentives based on broad outcomes are more effective than incentives based on narrow outcomes. We conclude with ways to improve our approach as well as with a discussion of the implications for using prospective randomized evaluation for improving the evaluation of donor projects.randomized trials, project evaluation, teacher incentives, aid effectiveness

F-OSFA: A Fog Level Generalizable Solution for Zero-Day DDOS Attacks Detection
The globalization and digitization of society have caused a surge in network traffic, making reliable online services essential for user trust and system functionality. However, these services face ever-increasing threats, particularly complex and well-developed Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks. Zero-day DDoS attacks, a type of DDoS attack, are especially challenging because their new and unseen nature and lack of training data render traditional Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS) ineffective. To tackle this, we propose the Fog-based One Solution For All (F-OSFA) system - a model with three specialized components. The first component uses a hybrid machine learning and deep learning framework that combines convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and decision trees to detect traditional DDoS attacks. The second component employs a few-shot learning module with a contractive autoencoder for zero-day attack detection. The third component is a signature-based resource usage analyzer to counter attacks mimicking normal traffic. We demonstrate the efficacy of F-OSFA on publicly available datasets and prove the scheme is generalizable and effective. F-OSFA achieves an accuracy of 99.72% on CICDDoS2019 and 99.96% on CICIDS2017. In addition, it demonstrates its efficacy in the zero-day scenario as well by achieving a 96.77% on CICDDoS2019 and 95.98% on CICIDS2017. These evaluations testify to F-OSFA as a reliable and versatile solution against ever-evolving DDoS threats
