Biometric cryptosystems: Overview, state-of-the-art and perspective directions
Modern cryptographic systems are constantly evolving and improving. This is due to the development of new computing systems and advanced cryptographic analysis methods, as well as increasing requirements for speed, security and reliability of used tools. In particular, it was announced an advent of universal quantum computers, which will be able to provide cryptanalysis with advanced calculation methods based on fundamentally new physical principles. The possible use of such devices encourages the development, research and standardization of algorithms for post-quantum cryptographic information protection. Another factor for the development of advanced cryptographic systems is the biometric technologies popularization. In this work, a critical review and analysis of the current application of biometric technologies in cryptographic systems, is conducted. In particular, biometric cryptographic systems, which are designed to generate secure pseudorandom sequences that can be used as cryptographic keys, passwords etc., are investigated. A comparative analysis of various biometric cryptosystems with the determination of their advantages and disadvantages is carried out. The perspective directions for further research are substantiated. Also this work presents a new key generation scheme which uses fuzzy extractors from the biometric data of iris. The proposed method is based on the code-based public key cryptosystems which are considered to be resistant to quantum cryptanalysis. A software implementation of this method with experimental studies of the key generation algorithm and recommendations on the practical application are proposed

Psychological Aspects of Learning in Virtual Space
The article of I. Lukashenko, O. Lutsenko “Psychological aspects of learning in the virtual environment” is aimed to analyze psychological aspects of people learning and functioning in the virtual environment. It was analyzed a number of researches which highlights such psychological aspects of people’s functioning in the virtual environment as motivational, cognitive, age-related, pedagogical, social, clinical, gender, psychophysiological and other ones. There are several advantages of Internet-learning in compare with traditional one – decrease of pedagogical authoritarianism, increase of learners independence, their higher responsibility for their learning, expanding the boundaries of learning, time economy etc. At the same time the Internet is characterized by specifics, which may make potential threats to the successful learning in it. These include addictions forming, identity violations, problems with the information defense, deterioration of communication quality, the development of deviations and specific psychopathology. Interaction with psychologists is desired during the development of distance learning courses to improve their efficiency and for its implementation at the time of appearing above mentioned problems

Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Characteristics of lifestyle and attitudes toward motherhood of surrogate mothers in Ukraine
Стаття О.Л. Луценко, В.Р. The article of O. Lutsenko, V. Tsokota “The characteristics of lifestyle and attitudes to motherhood of surrogate mothers in Ukraine” is aimed to study surrogate mothers’ attitudes to pregnancy and surrogate motherhood. The objectives of the study were to identify the characteristics of their social situation, lifestyle, volitional, moral, emotional and motivational qualities that can partially determine the decision to become a surrogate mother. 28 women included in the program of surrogate motherhood and three comparison groups of 20 people (the women without children, with 1-2 children and with many children) were interviewed using a semi-structured authors’ interview of the 25 questions. It was found that the prospective surrogate mothers differ from comparison groups by less education, more frequent absence of husband or divorce in the family situation, not entirely satisfactory living conditions, lack of material support. They are less vulnerable, are not prone to long-term negative emotional states, have fewer fears associated with pregnancy and childbirth, and are much more positive about the surrogacy
Characterization of the structural response of a lithiated SiO2 / Si interface: A reactive molecular dynamics study
We report the results of a computational study regarding the mechanical properties of a lithiated Si/SiO2 interface using reactive molecular dynamics. The study is motivated by an intended application of SiO2-coated Sinanotubes as fibers in structural batteries with a fiber-reinforced composite architecture while serving as anodes. According to the results, main failure properties due to partly irreversible bond breakage during mechanical deformation are identified, indicating agreement with bond energy/bond order based estimates. Microscopic failure properties are also identified and interpreted in view of the observed processes of bonding degradation. In particular, the effect of Li distribution on the shear deformation response is evaluated as significant.Applied Mechanic

Statistical testing of blockchain hash algorithms
Various methods are used for statistical testing of cryptographic algorithms, for example, NIST STS (A Statistical Test Suite for the Validation of Random Number Generators and Pseudo Random Number Generators for Cryptographic Applications) and DIEHARD (Diehard Battery of Tests of Randomness). Tests consists of verification the hypothesis of randomness for sequences generated at the output of a cryptographic algorithm (for example, a keys generator, encryption algorithms, a hash function, etc.). In this paper, we use the NIST STS technique and study the statistical properties of the most common hashing functions that are used or can be used in modern blockchain networks. In particular, hashing algorithms are considered which specified in national and international standards, as well as little-known hash functions that were developed for limited use in specific applications. Thus, in this paper, we consider the most common hash functions used in more than 90% of blockchain networks. The research results are given as average by testing data of 100 sequences of 108 bytes long, which means that is, the size of the statistical sample for each algorithm was 1010 bytes. Moreover, each test (for each of the 100 sequences) was considered as an independent observation. In addition, the article presents statistical portraits for each algorithm under study (diagrams of the numbers of passing each test)
