The launch of the CWLD Islamic banking program is a synergy between deposit banking and waqf benefits, as a new program initiated by OJK. Challenges in implementation have been based on stakeholders’ views for approximately one year since the issuance of this program. Stakeholders in the implementation of CWLD are the LKS-PWU or Islamic banks that have met the requirements, Nazhir waqf, Wakif, and regulators. The establishment and implementation of CWLD are based on a legal basis, along with cash waqf regulations and sharia deposits articulated in legislation, fatwas, and guidelines. The purpose of this study is to determine and investigate the challenges in implementation CWLD, as well as the opportunities and future directions in implementation CWLD, from the views of stakeholders. This research seeks to find coherence among stakeholders on the challenges and future opportunities in implementation CWLD based on cash waqf regulations and sharia deposits with a review of empirical findings in the field. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with a thematic approach. The thematic approach is used to find groups of similar themes based on the opinions of the interviewees. Primary data is obtained from interviews and documentation, while secondary data comes from legislation, journal articles, books, and other relevant sources. This research was conducted with several stakeholders through several instances. This research was conducted with several stakeholders through several agencies in Indonesia (OJK, BWI, KNEKS, IPB, UNIDA, Bank Jatim Syariah Madiun, and BMM). The data analysis method used Braun and Clarke's thematic approach starting from theme categorization, determination, and analysis. Atlas.ti software version 9.0 was used by researchers as a tool to analyze the data. The results showed that: 1) Challenges in the implementation of CWLD based on stakeholders' views are four points, namely the low literacy of cash waqf, the low value of profit sharing for mauquf alaih and nazir, the low understanding of human resources in CWLD practices, and regulatory issues, 2) opportunities from CWLD implementation are three important points including existing regulatory standards, the benefits received by mauquf alaih, nazir, wakif, and the sustainability of the CWLD program

Redefining the feminine in Kathakali: A Case Study of Asti

This essay focuses on analysing the patriarchal nature of Kathakali, a dramatic performance form from the south Indian state of Kerala and the ways in which the female protagonist, Asti, from a new Kathakali play written by a male playwright, unsettles it. I would argue that Asti is an aberration from the long practiced patriarchal gender construct of the female employed by the performance in question. It is important to consider the character of Asti and study her place in the history of Kathakali because it’s political perspective on women remain somewhat unchanged through its four centuries of existence and development. Any gender specific research on Kathakali is scanty till date and scholars such as Phillip Zarrilli or Eugenio Barba focus on its performer training method. Given the fact that female characters or indeed female performers are limited in Kathakali, it is not altogether difficult to understand why such few research materials is produced on the subject. This study will examine why women characters in Kathakali occupy such inferior position and its reasons will be examined first, through the socio-cultural lens of Kerala where Kathakali emerges from and second, by enquiring the feminine in minukku, the term used to denote generic female roles in Kathakali, and why it is limited in scope to accommodate a wider range of female characters. In the same vein, the essay will also briefly overview the patriarchal nature of Kathakali performances. The third section on Asti will, then, discuss why she is not a typical minukku and the reasons for having to reinvent her entry, her characterisation and finally, her costume. The cultural landscape and social practices of Kerala are crucially linked to the performances in Kerala, such as Kathakali and the socio-cultural perspectives on women are well-reflected in the performance. One such aspect is the social perspective on the female characteristics that class a woman as either ‘good’ or ‘bad’. Strikingly similar is the distinction between ‘good’ and ‘bad’ in Kathakali. Kathakali plays and performance structures, I would argue, author the feminine of Kathakali by encapsulating the Kerala social norms in the form of minukku. The tripartite structure of this essay will, therefore, situate Asti outside the long patriarchal narrative of Kathakali. No critical feminist reading of any new Kathakali plays has so far been undertaken and this essay studies Kathakali’s slowly changing gender norms for the first time.</p

Freezing Of Single Woman's Egg Cells According To Sadd Al-Dzari'ah Analysis

Egg freezing is a form of artificial insemination method legally permitted in emergencies. Still, the current phenomenon is that many women use it to postpone marriage and postpone having children at a young age with the desire to have children in their old age. Therefore, the author is interested in studying and discussing egg freezing with sadd dzari'ah analysis. This discussion aims to discover how egg freezing is carried out in women and how to analyze sadd dzaro'i in women who use the egg-freezing method. This research uses normative research that examines document studies using secondary data from legislation and legal theory. This normative research uses qualitative analysis from books, journals, and relevant articles to collect data using literature study techniques to find research results based on the Al-Qur'an and Hadith. As a result of this research, the author examines that egg freezing is permitted with syar'i conditions. However, what happens when it is used is non-shar'i washilah, so the impact on the mafsadah is greater than the benefit. Thus, the author concludes that it is better to abandon egg freezing to prevent greater harm, such as mixing egg cells. So, preventing something is better than bringing about forgiveness

Education in Indonesia still has significant problems such as the lack of adequate learning facilities, the low quality of education, the high cost of education and the large number of students who drop out of school. The main problem of Indonesian education is the high cost of education, making it difficult for students with middle to lower economy to continue their education. Waqf as an Islamic philanthropy can be a solution to education financing, supported by the MUI Fatwa with the provision of waqf developed with sharia securities through crowdfunding platforms. The regulation of cash waqf through the MUI (Indonesian Ulema Council) Fatwa was developed following the times in Fatwa No. 140/DSN-MUI/VIII/2021 which explains waqf as one of the sharia securities as financing waqf. However, the collection of waqf funds for education financing is still not optimal. So, this research aims to provide an alternative to waqf as an Islamic social financing system that can develop the quality of education in Indonesia with the aim of SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) in creating quality education. This research method uses library research method with literature study analysis through MUI fatwa approach. The results of this study explain the contract scheme that can make it easier for waqif to waqf through crowdfunding in the form of education financing investment, namely the wakalah bil istismar contract and the syirkah contract. However, crowdfunding for education financing is not widely applied for

Experimental High-Frequency Parameter Identification of AC Electrical Motors

In order to predict conducted electromagnetic interference in inverter-motor drive systems, high-frequency (HF) motor models are requested and the involved parameters have to be available. In previous studies, the authors have presented an accurate HF model for induction motors and they have defined the procedures to identify the model parameters. In this paper, these results are extended to several types and sizes of industrial ac motors such as induction, synchronous reluctance (without interior permanent magnets), and brushless motors. The model parameter-identification procedure has been improved, and it is based on a least-squares data fitting applied to the measured magnitude and phase-frequency-response curves of the phase-to-ground and the phase-to-neutral impedances. The aim of this paper is to provide quick indications to select the suitable values of the HF model parameters, with reference to the size and type of the ac motor, to evaluate the HF voltage and current components in inverted-fed ac motor system

This paper deals with the role of the radiation thermal resistances in industrial motors and describes a test set useful for the resistance evaluation. The test set is based on a vacuum chamber and on a numerical acquisition system, and the resistances are obtained by monitoring motor temperatures during a heating test. An analytical model that describes how the radiation resistance depends on the motor temperature is also provided. Experimental results obtained on a totally enclosed fan-cooled 150-W induction motor are shown and discussed
