Implementation of Differentiated Learning in Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar (Independent Learning Curriculum) at Islamic Elementary Schools
Get PDFThe aim of this research is to find out first, the implementation of differentiated learning in the independent curriculum; second, strategies for implementing differentiated learning; third, challenges in implementing differentiated learning. The research method used is a descriptive analytical method with a qualitative approach. The subjects in the research were Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (Islamic Elementary School) in the DKI Jakarta Province Region which implemented the Merdeka Curriculum. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation as well as descriptive data analysis using data reduction and data triangulation. Testing the validity of the data is carried out through source triangulation and technical triangulation. The results of this research show that first, madrasahs have various internal policies, including special approaches including superior program tests, strengthening Pancasila values, introducing and familiarizing with literacy to support the implementation of the Independent Curriculum, in the implementation the teachers already understand differentiated learning. Second, the strategies applied in differentiated learning include carrying out initial assessments, grouping students, taking various approaches to accommodate the diversity of student profiles, preparing media and teaching materials that are not monotonous, and carrying out final assessments. Third, the challenges in implementing differentiated learning are that teachers still experience several obstacles, including understanding the characters of different students; adapting material that can be integrated into the discussion; improving learning media skills; determine students\u27 talents, abilities and interests; inadequate media and infrastructure; limited time in implementing differentiated learning; students are difficult to control and there are still some who cannot read. The suggestions in this research require special assistance for teachers in madrasas; the need for Islamic Schools to collaborate with driving teachers, lecturers, researchers, the community, student parents and stakeholders involved; Madrasah heads need to take part in supervising some of the facilities and infrastructure needed by teachers.The aim of this research is to find out first, the implementation of differentiated learning in the independent curriculum; second, strategies for implementing differentiated learning; third, challenges in implementing differentiated learning. Fostering Creative Thinking and Creative Products through the STREAM Approach
Get PDFWith the advancement of science and technology, teaching and learning practices should provide students with information acquisition skills to meet future science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)-driven labor needs. The integration of arts and religion in STEM education is approved as a primary force in fostering students' 21st-century skills. Creativity is the key component of 21st-century skills measured by creative thinking and product. There is a gap in understanding how integrating religion and arts into STEM study enhances students' creative thinking and creative products. The pre-experiment method is implemented with a one-group pre-test and post-test involving 12 semester four students of the Primary Education Teacher Training Program, University of Nahdlatul Ulama Indonesia. This research implements two instruments: (1) creative thinking test items with fluency, flexibility, originality, elaboration, and evaluation aspects; (2) creative product scoring rubric in human movement system topic in creating robotic hand. The finding shows that the students' creative thinking enhanced quite significantly in all aspects. Specifically, flexibility and elaboration were the two highest creative thinking aspects, proved by a significant enhancement in those two aspects. Moreover, the result of the creative product revealed an average score of 82.44, which was categorized as good. All in all, lecturing with the STREAM approach in creating robotic hands can foster the creative thinking and creative products of the student

No full textThe general theory of relativity is currently established as the most precise theory of gravity supported by observations, and its application is diverse ranging from astronomy to cosmology, while its application to astrophysics has been restricted only to compact stars due to the assumption that the Newtonian approximation is sufficient for celestial bodies with medium density such as the sun. Surprisingly, the recent research of the author has implied that this long-held assumption is not valid, and that nonperturbative effects significantly change relevant results obtained by Newtonian gravity. In particular, local physical quantities inside the sun are newly predicted to exhibit power law differently from the so-called standard solar model. This surprising result is reviewed including brief discussion of physics behind the discrepancy and a little new application. © 2024 The Author(s). Pakistan, the WTO, and Labor Reform
No full textThis Note examines the economic and legal implications of developing nations’ membership in the World Trade Organization (WTO). Specifically, the article analyzes Pakistan’s labor reforms subsequent to its membership in the WTO. The Note first provides a historical background of Pakistani membership in the WTO. Next, the Note discerns that despite the lack of established WTO labor standards, developing nations face pressure to implement labor reforms incidental to trade liberalization policies. The author argues that the pressures imposed on lesser-developed countries (LDCs) such as Pakistan have, as of yet, spawned only superficial labor reforms. The final section of the Note suggests that whether or not the WTO chooses to set labor standards in the future, international trade commitments must adequately account for the economic and legal constraints of LDCs in order to spur lasting labor reform

The author has also been integrated with the place so that it is easier to get information. The use of directive and expressive speech acts is a phenomenon that encourages the author to carry out further research. The problems in this study are (1) How is the directive act on the speech of sellers and buyers in the market of Mandau Raya Duri, Mandau District, Bengkalis Regency? (2) How is the excretive speech act in the speech of the seller and buyer in the Mandau Raya Duri market in Mandau District, Bengkalis Regency? The objectives of this study are (1) to describe analyze, interpret, and conclude directive speech acts at the speech of sellers and buyers in the Mandau Raya Duri market, Mandau District, Bengkalis Regency. (2) describe, analyze, interpret, and conclude expressive speech acts at the speech of sellers and buyers in the Mandau Raya Duri market in Mandau Sub-District, Bengkalis Regency. This study uses the theory of Rahardi (2005) and Yule (2006). The approach in this study is qualitative. This research uses a descriptive method. Technique of collecting observation data, record, see and note. This study uses purposive sampling means that all speeches are identified as a form of directive and expressive speech acts. The samples in this study were all speeches identified as speeches in the form of directive and expressive speech acts. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the speech which includes directive speech acts in the form of ordering 5 speeches, 12 ruling forms of speech, 9 forms of requesting forms, 2 speech-giving forms, and 10 recommended speech forms. Speeches in the form of expressive speech acts including the form of thanking 8 speeches, the form of blaming 13 speeches and the form of praising 13 utterances. The most dominant directive speech act is in the form of governing 12 utterances and the least form of advising 2 utterances. Whereas in expressive speech acts there are 24 utterances, the most dominant being in the form of blaming 13 utterances and the least is in the form of praising 3 utterances
TRAPPED IN THE IN-BETWEENNESS: THE NARRATION OF GENDER, SEX, AND SEXUALITY IN JEFFREY EUGENIDES’ MIDDLESEX
Get PDFAbstractThe 2003 Pulitzer Award’s winning novel Middlesex has been praised in the United States because it is considered to be successful in presenting new perspectives on gender through intersex character who rejects genital surgery. In addition to intersex, this novel also constructs the discourse of sexuality through incest and lesbian issue. This study is conducted to reveal how gender, sex, and sexuality are represented in the novel. Judith Butler’s concepts of gender, sex and sexuality are used in this study to understand how the author builds the discourse of incest, lesbian and intersex. In order to find out the author’s position regarding these issues, this study also aims to expose what factors have influenced the representation of gender, sex, and sexuality in the novel. The result of this study shows that this novel tends to strengthen the causality between gender, sex and sexuality by portraying lesbian and intersex as the other. Incest is depicted as something acceptable as long as it is successfully blurred the kinship and suggests consensual heterosexual relationship. While lesbian is represented as sexual deviant desire that is never accepted in the United States. Intersex which becomes the major issue of the novel is defined as an abnormality that is shameful and should be hidden. In order to be accepted in the United States, lesbian and intersex are required to transform into more coherent gender and sexuality to fulfill what Butler calls as compulsory heterosexuality. The representation of gender, sex, and sexuality in the novel are greatly influenced by the political, social, and cultural factors that developed in Greece, the United States, and Germany in the 20th up to the beginning of 21st century. Furthermore, the discourse of lesbianism and intersexuality that flourished in America when the novel was published also has an effect on the representation of lesbian and intersex in the novel. Get PDFThis article aims to analyse the study of religious tolerance presented on Habib Husein Ja’far al-Hadar’s podcast channel. In the digital era, preachers are challenged to package the content they deliver in engaging ways while addressing various circulating issues. The podcast hosted by Habib Husein Ja’far al-Hadar discusses light yet substantive explanations regarding the religious practices of Indonesian society. Religion and indigenous beliefs in Indonesia are explored through conversational, dialogic, and humorous discussions between two speakers. This study uses a qualitative research method with content analysis as its primary analytical approach. To strengthen the research, the author also employs library research by reviewing various relevant literature. The primary data source of this research is Habib Ja’far al-Hadar’s podcast channel, supported by books and scholarly articles related to the theme of religious tolerance. The findings indicate that several episodes of the Noice podcast “Berbeda Tapi Bersama” reveal crucial points for the future of tolerance in Indonesia. The author identifies several indications, including that each religion offers exemplary teachings and encourages respect for the principles and rules of other religions. Each religion has points of convergence and similarities, even if its intentions and values differ. These elements demonstrate strong respect and tolerance, with dialogue serving as a key foundation for sustaining diversity
