학위논문(석사)--아주대학교 일반대학원 :산업공학과,2007. 8A new approach for PLC-Code auto-generation and its offline verification based on virtual simulation environment would be introduced through the thesis. The method, which involves Timed-Automata in the modeling phase, would be introduced for automatically generated PLC-Code on the working cell level. Thereafter, it would come with the explanation of interlock error checking and handling methods for both automatic and manual modes. The basic idea in this part is to compare the estimated operation time with the real one for each mutual zone, so as to detect the overtimes for calculating the global optimized operation sequence. For verifying the proposed approach, the programs and the result of an experimental simulation were given at the end of the thesis. One thing to notice is that the estimated operation time for each mutual zone is the total time span for the zone being used, but does not include detailed time for single operations. However, each single operation time must be estimated correctly so that the zone’s total time span could be calculated correctly, reasonably and feasibly. Additionally, since the generation process in the thesis adopted the assembly technique [1], there are also possibilities for other sub-processes in the cell to reuse the existing information.Contents 1. Truth After cinema: The explosion of facts in the documentary films of Jia Zhangke

This is the author's accepted manuscript. The final published article is available from the link below. Copyright @ 2013 Intellect Books. This article identifies and elaborates on two models of resistance evident in JiaZhangke’s film corpus. The deployment of different cinematic strategies produces an experimental calling into question of the value of truth and of truth as value. In the films here analysed Jia moves from resistance through organic observation to a model of resistance structured around a series of fabulations. If the first regime addresses the truth of ideology, then the target of the second is the ideology of truth. It is in this passage that Jia enters political cinema, collapsing the distinction between factual and fictional and opening up a space that belongs to no collectivity

Supervisor’s supporting comments I supervised Jia Li during her PhD research on the metabolic characterization of host–parasite interactions. Jia excelled at the analytical chemistry components of her thesis and specialized in the integration of multiplatform data (NMR, UPLC–MS, CE–MS and 454 data). Since obtaining her PhD (2009), she has achieved a prestigious Imperial College Junior Research Fellowship and has focused on applying data integration techniques to investigate mechanisms of bariatric surgery. To date she has 16 publications in journals including Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Molecular Systems Biology and Gut, many as first author. Her achievements include the characterization of multicompartmental changes in Schistosoma mansoni infected mice and the metabolic characterization of bariatric surgery in rats. She used NMR spectroscopic analysis, hierarchical principal component analysis and partial least square discriminant analysis to create systems level models of parasitic infection, and subsequently developed a CE method to validate the biomarkers. For the bariatric surgery model she applied a combination of UPLC–MS and NMR methods for profiling biofluids and related them to changes in the fecal microbiome profiled using 454 sequencing. She has presented her work at international conferences and has developed a network of external collaborations. Jia is an excellent role model; she is genuinely innovative and motivated, and has a flair for analytical technology. </jats:p

Arboridia (Arborifera) changlingensis sp. nov. ( Figs 5–8, 27–34) Description. Vertex white, with two pairs of preapical spots: one pair of oval black spots located near anterior margin; another pair located on both sides of coronal suture (Figs 5, 7). Face white, with a transverse brown-black stripe extended from antennal pits to frontoclypeus, anteclypeus pale (Figs 6, 8). Pronotum mostly dark brown (Figs 5, 7). Scutellum brown, with basal triangles and apex black, a nearly triangular black spot situated between basal triangles (Figs 5, 7). Fore wing mostly grey to black with oblique black bands extended to costal margin (Figs 5, 6). Male abdominal apodemes slightly extending beyond 3rd sternite (Fig. 27). Male genitalia. Pygofer dorsal appendage simple, straight in dorsal view, curved downward in lateral view, hook-like apically (Figs 28, 29). Subgenital plate with 2 macrosetae in middle and several fine setae at apex, row of short stout setae from subbase to apex along upper margin (Figs 28, 30). Style long and slender, with 3 points at apex, first two points short, third point elongate, slender and curved; preapical lobe developed (Fig. 31). Aedeagus strongly compressed and broad in lateral view, with two pairs of processes arising from apex and base of shaft respectively, basal processes long and slender, shorter than shaft, truncate at apex, distal processes short and curved ventrad, V-shaped in ventral view; preatrium short; a pair of small triangular flanges arising from dorsal margin of shaft near midlength; gonopore almost apical, on ventral surface (Figs 32, 33). Connective V-shaped, lateral arms long and stem very short (Fig. 34). Measurement. Male length 3.4 mm (including wing). Specimen examined. Holotype: ♂, CHINA, Guizhou Prov., Guiyang, Changlingpo Forest Park, 27 VI 2020, coll. Jia Jiang and Xiaowei Yuan. Remarks. This new species is similar to Arboridia surstyli Cai & Xu, 2006, but differs in having the aedeagus with pair of small hilly processes on the dorsal side instead of sharp inverted processes (Figs 32, 33), and the central lobe of connective absent (Fig. 34). Etymology. The new species is named after its type locality: “Changlingpo” Forest Park, Guizhou Province, China.Published as part of Jiang, Jia, Luo, Gui-Mei & Song, Yue-Hua, 2021, Two new species of the genus Arboridia Zachvatkin from China (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Typhlocybinae), pp. 349-357 in Zootaxa 5005 (3) on pages 354-356, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.5005.3.9, http://zenodo.org/record/514188

Jia Zhangke’s Mountains May Depart (2015) and the China Dream or, How Chinese art cinema learned to stop worrying and love Chinese soft power

Taking Jia Zhangke’s Mountains May Depart as the case in focus, this chapter examines a segment of Chinese screen culture which has managed to circulate in domestic theatres without conforming to the normative state narrative epitomized by Xi Jinping’s catchphrase China Dream. A close reading of Jia Zhangke’s works and references to Diao Yinan’s Black Coal, Thin Ice and Ann Hui’s The Golden Era, aims to shed some light on how cinematic structures such as multiple narratives, juxtaposition of different time frames, and the adoption of diverse points of view contribute a multifaceted articulation of the rhetoric of the China Dream. Furthermore, by discussing these films against the background of the current Chinese film industry, this chapter points out how the officially promoted soft power gives way to challenging works, which often undermine China’s official narrative while endorsing China’s success. These works also testify to the increasing complexity of Chinese filmmaking both in relation to the domestic and the international film scene

Handling communication of a family business during a scandal : exploring emotional and rational apology strategies in family-owned hospitality firms

No full text
This thesis examines how family-owned hospitality businesses can shape public perception through targeted crisis communication during internal controversies. Drawing on several theories, such as Social Identity Theory and Socioemotional Wealth Theory, this thesis explores how emotional and rational apologies affect consumer perceptions of credibility, forgiveness, and reputation. Using a 2x2 experimental design, the survey manipulates the intensity of family branding and the type of apology presented in a crisis scenario. Results indicate that rational apologies are generally perceived as more credible and lead to higher forgiveness than emotional ones. Additionally, individuals who recognized a stronger family brand rated the company more favorably, regardless of the objective manipulation. However, the interaction effects between branding and apology strategy were not significant, but the findings underscore the importance of stakeholder perception in crisis communication. This quantitative study contributes to research on crisis response in family firms and offers theoretical implications for managing a family brand reputation under threat.Florian Luo Jia WuMasterarbeit Universität Innsbruck 202
