Active Algorithms: Sociomaterial Spaces in the E-learning and Digital Cultures MOOC
This paper will explore two examples from the design, structure and implementation of the ‘E-learning and Digital Cultures’ Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) from the University of Edinburgh in partnership with Coursera. This five week long course (known as the EDCMOOC) was delivered twice in 2013, and is considered an atypical MOOC in its utilisation of both theCoursera platform and a range of social media and open access materials. The combination of distributed and aggregated structure will be highlighted, examining the arrangement of course material on the Coursera platform and student responses in social media. This paper will suggest that a dominant instrumentalist view of technology limits considerations of these systems to merely enabling or inhibiting educational aims. The subsequent discussion will suggest that sociomaterial theory offers a valuable framework for considering how educational spaces are produced through relational practices between humans and non-humans. An analysis of You Tube and a bespoke blog aggregator will show how the algorithmic properties of these systems perform functions that cannot be reduced to the intentionality of either the teachers using these systems, or the authors who create the software, thus constituting a complex sociomaterial educational enactment
Design of Application for The Management and Sale of Plastic Bottle Waste Into Useful Goods Based on Website
Garbage is something that is not wanted by humans after the process/use ends. Almost every location where there is an activity will have the potential to produce waste, for example at home, in the office, on campus, in the cafeteria, especially in supermarkets or other public places. Used plastic bottles are one type of inorganic waste that is found around us a lot. However, the plastic bottle actually still has many benefits. Plastic bottle waste can be recycled into something useful. In an effort to reduce plastic waste, the author made a website-based application design that contains the management of plastic bottle waste into useful items. Screw conveyor merupakan salah satu pemindahan bahan yang digunakan didalam industri yang bertujuan untuk mengangkut material. Pemilihan penggunaan screw conveyor untuk mengangkut material tersebut dikarenakan lebih efektif dalam memindahkan material, lebih ramah terhadap lingkungan serta memilki struktur yang sederhana dan sangat efisien. Pengaruh sudut kemiringan screw conveyor dengan variasi 10°, 15°, 20° terhadap beban maksimum. Objek observasi yang penulis tuangkan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengaruh sudut kemiringan screw conveyor terhadap beban maksimum pada sudut screw conveyor. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kemiringan screw conveyor dengan variasi 10°, 15°, 20° terhadap beban maksimum, dan mengetahui besarnya beban maksimum akibat pengaruh sudut kemiringan. Manfaatnya, memahami bagaimana pengaruh sudut kemiringan screw conveyor dengan 10°, 15°, 20°. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan perhitungan besarnya kapasitas screw conveyor dan beban maksimum di PT. Legal protection against overtime is the right of every worker that must be fulfilled by the company in accordance with Article 78 of Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower. In this regulation, companies are required to pay overtime wages to workers who work beyond the specified operating hours. However, in a case that occurred at one of the Indomaret companies on Jalan Swakarya, Pekanbaru City, a violation of this provision was found, where workers did not receive full overtime wages as stipulated in the laws and regulations. This shows the importance of enforcing labor laws to protect workers' rights and ensure that companies fulfill their obligations. The formulation of the problem raised by the author is based on the background of the problem. First, How is the legal protection for workers who work beyond working hours at Indomaret Jalan Swakarya Panam which is not in accordance with Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower. Second, What are the obstacles in enforcing legal protection for workers who work beyond working hours at Indomaret Jalan Swakarya Panam Pekanbaru. The research conducted is empirical because the author obtains data based on the results of the research. The nature of the research conducted is qualitative sociological, namely research conducted by going directly to the field to find out the reasons and forms of legal protection from companies that do not pay workers' overtime wages. The author uses data collection to collect data with data instruments obtained from interviews, observations, and library books. The author in drawing conclusions uses a deductive method by taking a problem from the specific to the general. Legal protection for workers against companies that do not pay their full workers' rights can be done by reporting the company to the Manpower Office, this is necessary because the company does not fulfill its obligation to pay workers' overtime wages and has violated the provisions of Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower. In enforcing legal protection for workers who do not receive overtime wages, more intensive socialization and education are needed regarding workers' rights and obligations. In addition, strengthening supervision by the Manpower Office and the active role of labor unions are important steps in ensuring that workers' rights are fulfilled and companies carry out their obligations in accordance with applicable regulations

This happened at the Informatics Engineering Student Association (HIMTI) University of North Sumatera, the student institution needed an information technology that could provide knowledge about what activities were carried out there. So far, there is no website that manages the flow of information related to activities that can be conveyed to Universitu of North Sumatera students, especially the informatics engineering study program, therefore the author is encouraged to design and build a website that can tell what activities are carried out using a special account that will later be used to informatics engineering students. Penentuan Jalur Alternatif untuk Menghindari Kemacetan Lalu Lintas dengan Menggunakan Algoritma Dijkstra (Studi Kasus: Simpang Empat Waspada Medan)
Traffic jam is the condition of the delayed traffic caused by the large number of
vehicles exceeding the capacity of the road. This traffic jam can spend too much
time so that it needs too much fee, a serious disturbance for product
transportation, the decrease of labor productivity level, and the utilization of labor
energy in vain. Because of that, the active role of drivers is needed to overcome
the traffic jam. One of the most efective solutions is finding the alternative paths
which can be passed over to avoid the traffic jam. So, the author make a research
for finding the alternative track by using Dijkstra’s algorithm which are able to
find the fastest and the shortest path. The use of Dijkstra’s algorithm can also
result in the description of problems in a mathematical modelling. The location of
research is divided and given a vertex in each intersection called v1, v2, ... , v29 so
that it will form a directed graph if it is combined. Then by using Dijkstra’s
algorithm, it will give an output of alternative path, namely the path which spend
a little more time if we compare with the jammed path. The alternative path is v1 -
v2 - v7 - v10 - v14 - v20 - v22 - v12 - v29 with the length of path is 283 m. The alternative
path to avoid the second traffic jam (arrival from v26 to v1) is v26 - v23 - v22 -v19 - v14

PENGARUH KUAT ARUS DAN LAJU GAS ARGON PADA HASIL PENGELASAN (GTAW) PIPA STAINLESS STEEL TEBAL 4,0 MM TERHADAP UJI KEBOCORAN DENGAN METODE PENETRANT TEST DAN UJI TARIK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kebocoran pada sambungan pipa stainless steel SS 304 dengan hasil pengelasan gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) dengan tungsten berwarna merah dengan menggunakan kawat pengisi Kode ER308LSI dengan menggunakan metode Non Destructive Test (Penetrant Test) dan juga untuk mengetahui pengaruh kuat arus terhadap kekuatan tarik (Tensile Test) pada sambungan. Pada penelitian penetrant test didapat dari hasil pengujian yang telah dilakukan dari tiga hasil pengujian yang baik dan tidak mengalami cacat permukaan hasil pengelasan yaitu pada kuat arus 100 Ampere dengan flow gas argon 20 km/jam. Pada sambungan pipa hasil pengelasan dengan metode pengelasan GTAW, pengujian kekuatan tarik yang didapat nilai rata-rata kekuatan maksimum kuat arus 85 ampere dengan flow gas argon 15 km/jam yaitu 104.56 kg/mm2, arus 100 ampere dengan flow gas argon 20 km/jam yaitu 95.33 kg/mm2 dan arus 105 ampere dengan flow gas argon 25 km/jam yaitu sebesar 97.68 kg/mm2. Implementation of Differentiated Learning to Improve Students' Creative Thinking Ability
The Implementation Of This Research Was Carried Out From May To June 2022. The Purpose Of This Study Was To Obtain Information About Student Learning Outcomes In The Form Of Creative Thinking Skills In Material 1, Namely The Relationship Between Space Diagonals, Plane Diagonals, And Diagonal Planes And Material 2 Namely The Nature Of The Spatial Structure In Class VIII Tri Sakti Catholic Middle School 2 Medan After Using The Direct Learning Model And The Differentiation Learning Model. Methods/Techniques In Collecting Data In This Research Are Tests: (1) Tests, (2) Documentation (3) Observations. To See The Improvement In Posttest Results Compared To Pretest And Posttest Results, The T-Test Using Spss Was Used For Significant Changes. The Application Of The Direct Learning Model And The Differentiation Learning Model Can Improve Student Learning Outcomes In Material 1, Namely The Relationship Between Space Diagonals, Plane Diagonals, And Diagonal Planes 2 And In Material 2, Namely The Properties Of Spatial Structures. This Can Be Seen From The Results Of The Tests Given To Students. The Results Of The Implementation Of The First Cycle By Applying The Direct Learning Method Obtained A Completeness Level Of 50% While The Implementation Of The Second Cycle By Applying The Differentiation Learning Model Obtained A Classical Completeness Level Of 67%. Then In The Results Of The T-Test, The Significance Value In The Direct Learning Model Is 0.000 And The T-Count Is 0.979 And The Differentiation Learning Model Has A Significance Value Of 0.010 And The T-Count Is 1.967.
