Penduduk yang selalu bertambah menyebabkan kebutuhan akan lahan untuk permukiman menjadi
tinggi tidak seimbang dengan ketersediaan lahan di kota. Aktivitas-aktivitas perkotaan yang semakin banyak
dan padat akan berkembang sampai ke daerah pinggiran kota tersebut. Hal ini adalah yang terjadi antara
Kabupaten Demak dan Kota Semarang. Desa Batursari, Kabupaten Demak sebagai desa yang langsung
berbatasan dengan Kota Semarang menerima limpasan aktivitas penduduknya untuk bermukim yang terjadi
di Perumnas Pucang Gading. Selama 10 tahun terakhir, Desa Batursari mengalami lonjakan jumlah
penduduk yang tinggi, namun hal ini tidak diimbangi dengan ketersediaan pelayanan yang mencukupi.
Terlihat ada dua peran pelaksana penyediaan prasarana dari pemerintah, yaitu dari Perum
Perumnas Regional V dan Pemerintah Daerah. Berdasarkan hal itu dimungkinkan terjadi ketidaksinkronan
dalam penyediaan prasarana antara Perum Perumnas Regional V dan Pemerintah Daerah yang terjadi di
Desa Batursari (Perumnas Pucang Gading dan permukiman asli desa)

Affordable housing programs and banking program has been launched for the implementation of housing programs for Low Income Communities (MBR). MBR characteristics in each region are very diverse make housing programs for this segment is not easy to do the right target. Act 2 of 2001 has mandated that states are obliged to implement the settlement habitable housing for people, especially the MBR. This article will discuss how the public views MBR related to home ownership for families. Aspects related studies include family conditions, financing, location, shape and price residence. The research method used descriptive method with the results of questionnaires to the MBR in Sub Tanjungmas as Village poorest residents in the city of Semarang. The results showed that the respondents have a vision of home ownership by saving and installments. That their visions are still living in and near where you live now or anywhere else that has the same price range. They really understand that in order to obtain environmental conditions and a better home, they have to pay higher prices, then, the standards they use is on the quality of life now and that the location that suitable for them is a house in the kampong area

The content material presented includes energy, water and waste management. The research was conducted using the Research and Development (R & D) approach. The function of the square as a public open space has been dominated as economic functions. From time to time the role of the square undergone many changes since the days of pre-colonial, colonial, post-colonial and current period. Changes in the role and function of the square as a public open space Kaliwungu basically occurs when the policy was issued regarding the transfer function around the market square into the parking lot of the mosque. It shows that the square as the center of the city has a strategic location that can not be separated from economic activities
