The Relationship between Work Motivation and Emotional Intelligence with Employee Performance at PT.Kaltimex Energy Medan
No full text124 HalamanTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara motivasi kerja dan kecerdasan emosional secara bersamaan dengan kinerja karyawaan di PT. Kaltimex Energy Medan. Sampel penelitian diambil melalui teknik total sampling sebesar 83 karyawan. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan skala motivasi kerja, kecerdasan emosional dan kinerja karyawan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis korelasi berganda. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : 1) ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara motivasi kerja dengan kinerja karyawan, dengan rxy = 0,612 dan p= 0,000 < 0,05 dengan sumbangan efektif 37,4%. 2) ada hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan kinerja karyawan, dengan rxy = 0,607 dan p 0,000 < 0,05 dengan sumbangan efektif 36,8%. 3) ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara motivasi kerja dan kecerdasan emosional dengan kinerja karyawan di PT. Kaltimex Energy Medan, dimana rxy = 0,661 dan p 0,000 < 0,05 dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 43,7%. Hal ini berarti semakin tinggi motivasi kerja dan semakin tinggi kecerdasan emosional karyawan, maka secara signifikan dapat meningkatan kinerja karyawan di perusahaan. Sebaliknya, jika motivasi kerja dan kecerdasan emosional rendah, maka kinerja karyawan akan menurun. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between work motivation and emotional intelligence together with the performance of employees at PT. Kaltimex Energy Medan. The research sample was taken through a total sampling technique of 83 employees. The data collection method uses a scale of work motivation, emotional intelligence and employee performance. Data analysis techniques using multiple correlation analysis. Based on the results of the study show that: 1) there is a positive and significant relationship between work motivation and employee performance, with rxy = 0.612 and p = 0,000 <0.05 with an effective contribution of 37.4%. 2) there is a significant positive relationship between emotional intelligence with employee performance, with rxy = 0.607 and p 0.000 <0.05 with an effective contribution of 36.8%. 3) there is a positive and significant relationship between work motivation and emotional intelligence with employee performance at PT. Kaltimex Energy Medan, where rxy = 0.661 and p 0.000 <0.05 with an effective contribution of 43.7%. This means that the higher the work motivation and the higher the emotional intelligence of employees, it can significantly improve employee performance in the company. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Penyelenggaraan demokrasi tingkat desa atau yang sering disebut pilkades disambut baik oleh masyarakat. Proses yang dari awal melibatkan masyarakat, kandidat yang melanggar pasti mendapatkan sanksi moral dari masyarakat. Ironisnya masyarakatat umumnya dalam pesta demokrasi hanya sekadar ikut-ikutan disibukkan oleh aksi panggung mereka dalam proses pemilihan kepala desa, sedangkan hal-hal yang mendasar di Indonesia ini tidak kunjung mengalami perbaikan. Jadi perlu pembangunan kesadaran politik rakyat untuk perubahan yang lebih riil.
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui: 1) kesadaran politik masyarakat dalam pemilihan kepala desa di Desa Kalipucang Kecamatan Jatibarang Kabupaten Brebes, 2) pelaksanaan pemilihan kepala desa di Desa Kalipucang Kecamatan Jatibarang Kabupaten Brebes, dan 3) hambatan dalam mewujudkan pemilihan kepala desa yang bersih di Desa Kalipucang Kecamatan Jatibarang Kabupaten Brebes.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah calon kepala desa dan anggota-anggota masyarakat dan tokoh masyarakat dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data kualitatif.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Kesadaran politik masyarakat dalam pemilihan kepala desa di desa Kalipucang Kecamatan Jatibarang Kabupaten Brebes, menurut penulis masih rendah. Walaupun masyarakat secara umum mengatakan memilih sesuai dengan hati nuraninya, namun dalam prakteknya mereka dalam memilih kepala desa umumnya tidak memperhatikan atau mempertimbangkan visi dan misi, latar belakang pendidikan calon pemilih. ) Pelaksanaan pemilihan kepala desa di Desa Kalipucang Kecamatan Jatibarang Kabupaten Brebes berjalan dengan lancar dan aman. Warga masyarakat dapat menikmati proses pesta demokrasi yang selalu dinanti-nantikan. 3) Hambatan dalam mewujudkan pemilihan kepala desa yang bersih di Desa Kalipucang Kecamatan Jatibarang Kabupaten Brebes, antara lain: adat istiadat yang melekat dalam tradisi yaitu banyak rejeki saat pilkades, kurangnya pendidikan masyarakat, dan politik uang yang dilakukan baik secara sembunyi-sembunyi maupun terang-terangan.
Saran dari penulis diharapkan masyarakat dalam memilih pemimpin yang terbaik dan tepat tidak terpengaruh dari pengaruh negatif, sehingga menghasilkan pemimpin terbaik yang mampu mengatasi masalah-masalah di daerahnya dan memajukan daerahnya yang akan mensejahterakan masyarakatnya

Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
