Paula Lopes, Associate Professor at the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa (UAL), who has carried out work with media literacy from Communication studies. Since her thesis, entitled "Media literacy and citizenship: Practices and skills of adults in training in Grande Lisboa", Profa Paula Lopes has dedicated herself to the task of not only working directly with media education, as a teacher in Communication courses, but also understanding literacy processes, seeking to develop methodologies for this learning. For her, the ability to communicate efficiently for citizenship, today, increasingly involves not only the already consolidated reading and writing skills, but a critical and safe attitude towards the media.A entrevistada deste volume da Revista Signo é a Professora Dra. Antennule with 9+2 aesthetascs, exopod of pleopod 1 elongated, eyes with 24 ommatidia and coxal plate VII with two noduli laterales. Description Maximum length. Male 8.6 mm, female 8.9 mm. Colour. Similar to that of B. trinodulata, except that the unpigmented regions of the pleon are larger on pleonite 1 (figure 32). Cephalothorax. Eyes with 24 ommatidia. Pereion. Tegument smooth and bright. Coxal plate VII has two noduli laterales (figure 49). Co-ordinates b /c and d/c of the noduli laterales (figure 47). Pleon. Narrows abruptly in relation to the pereion; neopleura well-developed on segments 3–5. Pleotelson triangular with straight margins, with a groove on the distal third and rounded apex, reaching halfway down the protopodite of the uropods. Appendages. Antennula tri-articulate, with the distal article having a series of nine aesthetascs at the distal half of the external margin and two apical aesthetascs (figure 33). Antenna when extended posteriorly, reaches the posterior margin of the fourth pereionite. Flagellum and fifth article of the peduncle of sub-equal length. Second flagellar article shorter than the other articles, which have similar lengths; apical organ one-third of the size of the distal article (figure 34). Mandible: similar to that of B. trinodulata, with two penicils on the incisor process and a tuft of at least ten plumose setae. Maxillula: medial endite with two apical penicils, no distal point; lateral endite with 4+6 teeth, five being pectinate (figure 37). Maxilla: external lobe with the distal-lateral margin narrowing; internal lobe covered with fine setae (figure 38). Maxilliped: endite with a long seta and two short teeth on the distal external margin, which has protuberances, dorsally bearing a short and robust seta (as in figure 10); apex of the palp with a tuft of short fine setae (figure 36). Pereiopods: with short tricorns on all articles and a hand-shaped apical seta on the carpus of pereiopod 1 (figure 43). Sexual differentiation: pereiopods 1–4 of the male with the carpus and merus bearing a set of fissured setae; ischium and merus of pereiopod 7 of the male of sub-equal length (figure 44); ischium of the females larger than the merus. Pleopods: exopod of pleopod 1 of the male cordiform, elongated (z: y ratio= 2.3), with a subapical dentiform expansion (figure 39); endopod with small apical spines (figure 40). Exopod of pleopod 2 distally elongated on the internal margin, carrying setae on the external margin; endopod distally tapered (figure 41). Exopod of pleopod 5 with four setae on the external lateral margin (figure 42). Uropod: insertion of the endopod and exopod at the same level; endopod exceeding half the length of the exopod (figure 35). Etymology The name refers to the region where this species occurs, the Brazilian Araucaria Forest. Remarks This species was collected on the Rio-Grandense Plateau (RS), at altitudes above 900 m. Benthana araucariana is similar to B. trinodulata because it has more than one nodulus lateralis on coxal plate VII, is of similar body colour, has similar antenna and uropods, has a similar number of aesthetascs on the antennula (9+2) and in having the insertion of the exopods and endopods of the uropods at similar levels. nesta primeira década do século
XXI, tema central de debate público nas sociedades
europeias contemporâneas. Após a
aposta na expansão (alargamento e prolongamento)
da escolarização das populações, eis
a aposta na certificação de competências e na qualificação, numa clara estratégia de educação
para a mudança e para o progresso,
mas também para a incerteza e para o risco.
Os pressupostos mais educação corresponde
a mais desenvolvimento e mais investimento
na educação corresponde a mais crescimento
económico (Magalhães, 1995: 112) –
i.e., níveis de escolarização mais altos vão
de par com padrões mais elevados de desenvolvimento
(Machado, Costa, 1998: 24) –
traduzem-se hoje num crescimento exponencial
do papel da qualificação. A educação
é vista como “o melhor e principal instrumento
para ajudar as pessoas a prepararemse
para uma vida plena, uma cidadania participativa,
uma posição económica digna e
suficiente, uma convivência não conflituosa,
uma apreciação adequada da cultura e das relações
sociais em constante processo de mudança”

Sexually-transmitted monkeypox: report of two cases
No full textMonkeypox is an emerging infection that has spread to all continents since May 2022. It is caused by the zoonotic monkeypox virus, consisting of double-stranded DNA, belonging to the Orthopoxvirus genus of the Poxviridae family, which has high transmissibility, especially by contact with the skin, favoring its sexual transmission. This case report describes a same-sex male couple, both aged 28 years old, without comorbidities. In the index case, perioral and penile lesions started ten days before the consultation, with rapid progression and a high fever that started eight days after the appearance of the lesions. In the second case, the periorat lesions started three days after the partner; however, he remained afebrile. Both were isolated, treated with symptomatic measures, and, after ulceration, the lesions completely regressed in 14 days. Dermatologists should be aware of manifestations of monkeypox, which may include vesiculopustular lesions in areas of sexual contact, as well as oligosymptomatic cases or cases with few skin lesions. A ternura do grotesco no encontro de Paula Rego com Adília Lopes

em que se verificou um abaixamento de valores, da eternidade para a corporalidade - leva-nos ao
grotesco e sobre o que se entende por arte, belo e, em consequência, pelo seu contrário.
Com este artigo, pretende-se saber de que forma é que o grotesco se dissemina nas pinturas de
Paula Rego e os escritos de Adília Lopes e se o que a primeira referiu em relação à obra de Adília e
às suas próprias produções, usando o epíteto de “grotesco belo” e possuidor de “muita ternura”, é
verificável.
As postulações principais sobre o grotesco foram produzidas por Mikhail Bakhtin, Wolfgang
Kayser e Victor Hugo. Para além das produções de cada uma das criadoras, foi também observado
o cruzamento de ambas no livro “Obra”, uma antologia de Adília Lopes, com imagens da autoria

what is meant by art, beautiful and, consequently, its opposite.
With this article, we intend to find out how the grotesque is spread through the paintings of Paula
Rego and the writings of Adília Lopes and if what the painter commented about Adília’s work, and
her own artistic productions, using the epithet “grotesque beautiful” and having “a lot of
tenderness”, is verifiable.
The main postulates on the grotesque were produced by Mikhail Bakhtin, Wolfgang Kayser and
Victor Hugo. In addition to the productions of each one of the creators, the crossing of both
authors was also observed in the book “Obra”, an anthology of Adília Lopes, with images by Rego
