Michalina Wisłocka’s The Art of Loving and the Legacy of Polish Sexology
This article discusses the development of Polish sexology as well as the challenges of sex education in Poland in general and the implications of Michalina Wisłocka’s work within the field of adult sex education in particular, both from a historical perspective and against the background of sociopolitical circumstances and the backlash in the sexual politics of today’s Poland. Michalina Wisłocka (1921–2005) is the author of Sztuka kochania [The Art of Loving] from 1978—the most widely read Polish handbook on sex, sexuality and eroticism. Although there has not been a sexual revolution in Poland, the success of the book may be considered revolutionary as it had an enormous impact on sexual awareness among the Poles at least for two decades after its publication. Nowadays, the book is considered groundbreaking as regards its normalizing effect on the language of sex, despite the omnipresence of gender role stereotypes. Even so, the revival of Wisłocka that has been seen in Poland in recent years is quite remarkable because the book appears traditional and largely outdated from today’s perspective. In the context of the postsocialist retraditionalization of sexual politics in Poland, however, the revived interest in Wisłocka seems less ambiguous since it can be perceived both as a sign of backlash and a sign of renewed demand for sexual knowledge and education.</p

“Here comes King John the Third” - categories of Polishness and patriotism in children’s poetry by Michalina Chelmońska-Szczepankowska
The main purpose of the article is to analyse the model of an ideal Pole and patriot created in the poetry addressed to children written by Michalina Chelmońska-Szczepankowska,
a forgotten poet of the Young Poland period. Her works are a perfect example of patriotic education typical to the second half of nineteenth century. The poet consciously chooses Polish saints, perfect rulers, scientists and men of letters, who in her opinion were the best examples of patriotism. Her goal is to awake national pride in young people. This model of patriotic education has also been continued in modern times. Author of the text considers its topicality in contemporary realities and contemplates which values popularised by Chełmońska-Szczepankowska may become the cure for the modern Polish complex of inferiority
Implementation of Activating Methods of Teaching Polish as a Foreign Language to Children (Reflections about a Summer Course of Polish in Moldova)
Dlatego też autorka odwołuje się do metod nauczania wykorzystujących ruch i działanie, wspomagających przyswajanie wiedzy poprzez pozostawienie śladu pamięciowego podczas wykonywania jakiejś akcji. This article regards to author’s didactic experience concerning her teaching children on a Polish course in Moldova. Feminist deconstruction of the traditional image of women in Qiu Jin’s works
Nieudane małżeństwo zmobilizowało feministkę do walki o prawa kobiet, do sprzeciwu względem doktryn Konfucjusza i opuszczeniu domu, a następnie wyjazdu za granicę. Women’s issues are a significant subject of study in the realm of Chinese literature. In many works, it can be seen to oppose stereotypes or norms imposed on the female gender and to take measures leading to the emancipation of the individual. Such literature is symptomatic of a desire for change in society, that is, the overthrow of the patriarchal system and the introduction of equal rights between the sexes. An example of such prose is the works of China’s first feminist, Qiu Jin, who decided to fight for women’s rights. She was sentenced to death for her revolutionary activities. However, her texts introduced a completely new image of women into the public sphere - different from the one that had been reproduced for hundreds of years in ancient China. The poet chose to endow her heroines with charisma, courage, intelligence and the will to fight for a better life. Her aim was to make women aware of their situation in life, their social role, and to encourage them to leave the male-dominated world. Michalina Koniuk, in the chapter “Feminist Deconstruction of the Traditional Image of Woman in Qiu Jin’s Works”, proposes to analyse Qiu Jin’s works and present that the characters created by the writer oppose and destroy the image of the obedient and uneducated woman that existed in ancient China. First, the social role imposed on women in Chinese society has been described, namely that of obedient daughter, wife and daughter-in-law. The requirements and rules expected of Chinese women have been presented, and how Confucian norms contributed to the belittling of women’s role and position in Chinese society. As the poet was inspired by her own life experiences, Qiu Jin’s life were briefly introduced. Her childhood, during which the first signs of dissatisfaction with the obligations and social norms imposed on girls could be observed. An unsuccessful marriage mobilised the feminist to fight for women’s rights, to oppose the doctrines of Confucius and to leave home and go abroad. This was a great act of courage and at the same time a struggle for freedom and independence in the life of a feminist. That part was followed by an analysis of Qiu Jin’s works, whose female characters exemplify the kind of norms and behaviours that Qiu Jin rebelled against. At the same time, these characters deconstruct the traditional image of a woman and introduce a new one of a strong and independent individual. In this chapter, all poems and quotations have been translated by the author from Chinese into Polish

z uszkodzeniem ACL. Zaprezentowano postępowanie przedoperacyjne, wybór metody leczenia, leczenie zachowawcze oraz rehabilitację pooperacyjną w uszkodzeniu ACL.
Abstract
The knee joint is the largest joint of the human body. The specific construction, location and long lever of the knee joint make it one of the most frequently damaged joints in the human body. According to scientific reports, the anterior anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is the most frequently damaged anatomical structure within the knee. As reported by Pritsch statistics from 2009 in Poland, an average of 3 thousand reconstruction of ACL annually. The paper presents related issues with damage to ACL. Preoperative treatment, choice of treatment method, conservative treatment and postoperative rehabilitation in ACL injury were presented.

Abstract
Objective
This study aimed to demonstrate the potential influence of psychiatric disorders on the development and course of ophthalmic diseases.
Methods:
A literature search was performed in the PubMed medical publication database using the following keywords: ophthalmology; glaucoma; psychiatrists; psychology; acute anterior uveitis; psychosomatics; health.
Results
Stress and psychiatric disorders are underestimated risk factors in the course of ophthalmic diseases. Understanding the relationship between them is crucial to ensuring proper patient care. This is because vision loss has serious consequences for the patient, ranging from difficulties in everyday life to disability, loss of livelihood and dependence on others. The stress reaction is associated with long-term persistence of high cortisol levels, stimulation of the autonomic system and, consequently, vascular dysregulation and neuropathy. The result is a progression of visual disturbances, which causes further stress and anxiety.
Conclusions:
Effective psychiatric intervention, the correct physician approach, or relaxation techniques can speed up recovery or reduce the risk of recurrence.

Summary
Introduction and purpose: The purpose od this study is to describe changes in epidemiological trends of fractures, especially osteoporotic fractures, during COVID-19 pandemic. Before the pandemic, fractures in the young population were more frequent than in elderly population, because of more active lifestyle.
A brief description of the state of knowledge: COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown has effectively reduced people’s mobility and ability to travel. This has resulted in lowered rate of traumatogenic incidents that cause fractures, including traffic accidents and accidents during performing sport. When people spend more time at their homes, incidence of household fractures is growing, especially in elderly population. Osteoporosis makes bones of elderly people more suspectible to fracture. Majority of drugs used in treatmen for osteoporosis are said not to interact with risk or severity of COVID-19 infection.
Conclusions: During the COVID-19 pandemic, geriatric fractures have become one of the severe problems for healthcare systems. Isolation at people’s homes has resulted in increased rate of fractures occuring at home, especially in elderly population. Difficulties caused by pandemic made rates of properly performed osteoporotic treatment lower, increasing risk of fractures even more. Mortality after fractures has risen even in patients with negative result of testing for COVID-19.
