The script communicates with a SLICE-DHV high-voltage driver via PyVISA to tune the piezo actuator of the laser, while simultaneously reading the laser wavelength from a HighFinesse wavemeter through the wlmData.dll interface.The control loop compensates deviations from a user-defined setpoint, applying anti-windup protection and enforcing safety limits on wavelength error and control voltage. All measurements and control signals are continuously logged to a file for later analysis.The software has been developed for laboratory use in high-precision laser spectroscopy and frequency metrology experiments, where long-term wavelength stability of ultra-stable laser systems is essential.</p

No full textPublikacja została podzielona na trzy części, z których pierwsza omawia zagadnienie tożsamości górników budowanej w oparciu o miejsce, w którym pracują i żyją. Analizie poddano problem interakcji między kopalnią a pracującymi w niej ludźmi, by zbadać, na ile miejsce wykonywania codziennych obowiązków jest w stanie ukształtować grupę i wpłynąć na relację między pracownikami, a także na nich samych. Zanalizowano także zagadnienie tożsamości tych górników Zabrza, którzy zmienili miejsce zamieszkania, wyjechali ze Śląska do Niemiec. Badano, czy ich tożsamość ukształtowała kopalnia czy stary lub nowy heimat. Zanotowane górnicze opowieści wskazują, że znaczącym elementem górniczej tożsamości jest socjolekt, który powstał w kopalni, a zaznajomienie się z nim było i jest warunkiem koniecznym dla funkcjonowania członków grupy w warunkach zawodowych i jednym z podstawowych determinantów przynależności do grupy. Druga część książki opisuje ich funkcjonowanie w życiu zawodowym pracowników kopalń: przebieg drogi zawodowej (wiążącej się z wyborem zawodu lub przymusem zatrudnienia), funkcjonowanie w ramach hierarchii górniczej, wartości etyczne towarzyszące pracy, emocje wiążące się z wykonywanymi obowiązkami są elementem górniczego kodu kulturowego, którego ponowne odczytanie okazało się konieczne ze względu na zachodzące zmiany. Z kolei wartość symboliczna i społeczna pozdrowień górniczych, munduru, zwyczajów pobożnościowych i świątecznych, wierzeń demonologicznych czy górniczych przywilejów determinuje „język” górniczej kultury korporacyjnej. W trzeciej części omówiono z kolei te wartości, symbole i tradycje, na których opiera się życie prywatne (rodzinne) pracujących w kopalniach: sytuację mieszkaniową, relacje rodzinne i pozycję żony w rodzinie górników Zabrza, dzieciństwo (jako własne opowiadających oraz ich dzieci), obyczaje kulinarne oraz spędzanie wolnego czasu i funkcjonowanie tradycji ogródków. Całość powinna się stać przyczynkiem do poznania górników żyjących tu i teraz w Zabrzu jako grupy cechującej się swoją własną tożsamością konstruowaną w oparciu o różnorodne komponenty korporacyjnego pejzażu kulturowego.Ministerstwo Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego;

No full textThe author of the thesis wants to examine the applicability of the concept of galant style as presented by Robert Gjerdingen in his treatise Music in the Galant Style (2007). As a musical material which he wants to analyze by using the mentioned concept he chooses three extant sepolcros by a schoolmaster from Bakov nad Jizerou Jiří Ignác Linek (1725-1791). Further, he deals with a thesis by Eva Tomandlová (1934- 2010) written in the late 1950's that had these sepolcros as its subject. Thus, at presenting Gjerdingen's approach and its specific possibilities, the author can make use of comparison with a method which can be considered an exemplar of the prevailing analytical tradition. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
No full textThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
No full text“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
No full textWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
