Análise crítica sobre a prática da vaquejada e a sua constitucionalização pela PEC 50/2016

throughout Brazil, this recognition adds an economic purpose, moving millions in money
every year. Unfortunately, the vaquejada is based on the overthrow of the oxen in the lane,
causing in these animals several evils, such as: fractures, dislocations, among others.
Recently, in October 2016, the STF recognized the unconstitutionality of the vaquejada,
through ADI 4983, since such a practice would be intrinsically cruel to the animals. On the
other hand, this year, the Senate approved the PEC nº 50, assuring the right of realizations of
events of this nature and recognizing it as cultural patrimony. Based on the current high
content of the theme, it is essential to perform the critical analysis of the vaquejada practice
and its consequent constitutionalisation, rationalizing about its causes and consequences.A vaquejada é tida como tradição cultural e reconhecida como esporte em todo o
Brasil, tal reconhecimento lhe acresce uma finalidade econômica, movimentando milhões em
dinheiro todos os anos. Infelizmente, a vaquejada está baseada na derrubada dos bois na pista,
ocasionando nesses animais diversos males, tais como: fraturas, luxações, entre outros.
Recentemente, em outubro de 2016, o STF reconheceu a inconstitucionalidade da vaquejada,
em uma decisão interpartes, através da ADI 4983, pois tal prática seria intrinsecamente cruel
para os animais. Em contrapartida, no presente ano, o senado aprovou a PEC nº 50,
assegurando o direito de realizações de eventos desta natureza e o reconhecendo como
patrimônio cultural. Partindo do alto teor de atualidade do tema, é imprescindível a realização
da análise crítica da prática da vaquejada e a sua consequente constitucionalização,

O impacto das decisões de investimento das empresas sobre o valor de suas ações no mercado de capitais
Get PDFArtigo AcadêmicoNão possuiEste estudo tem por objetivo analisar o impacto das decisões de investimento, sobre o valor das ações das empresas não financeiras listadas na B3, no período de 2010 a 2017. Para isso consideraram-se as decisões de investimento constantes no Balanço Patrimonial, através das contas de investimentos, imobilizado e intangível e na Demonstração de Fluxos de Caixa nas contas referentes à compra de investimento permanente; compra de ativo fixo e diferido e venda de ativo permanente. A metodologia da pesquisa é descritiva, com abordagem quantitativa, por meio de pesquisa documental. Os métodos estatísticos utilizados foram: regressão linear múltipla com dados expostos em painel. Foram compostas duas amostras, uma para cada demonstrativo, totalizando 242 empresas para análise no balanço e 232 empresas para análise na DFC. Conclui-se que tanto as decisões de investimento constantes no balanço patrimonial quanto as decisões de investimento constantes na DFC impactam o valor das ações no mercado de capitais. Este estudo contribui para a literatura com achado acerca da variação dos fluxos de caixa destinados à compra de ativo fixo e diferido, como variável observada pelos investidores na tomada de decisão no mercado de capitais. Também constatou-se que ROA e Tamanho apresentam-se estatisticamente significantes para explicar o retorno das ações.Trabalho não financiado por agência de fomento, ou autofinanciad
Aprimoramento da metodologia nodal para tarifação do uso de sistemas de transmissão
Get PDFAfter eight years of the restructuring process, it is possible to analyze the current stage of the Brazilian electrical sector. The way how transmission was structured to introduce competition on the generation and commercialization segments should be reviewed to identify problems and possible solutions. Due to the natural monopoly characteristic of transmission business, it needs to be regulated and the way how rules and tariffs are set is very important for the development of the sector, not only related to the wheeling aspects but the activities associated with generation and consumption. This work draws a diagnosis of the transmission segment focusing on the tariff level evolution and the tariff structure. In the case of tariff level it can be observed that the Transmission Allowed Revenue (TAR) has increased more than the others segments. This is due to the way rules and procedures were designed by the Brazilian regulator. Concerning the tariff structure, it is known that the Investment Cost Related Price method adopted in Brazil has been showing some results that don’t match with the basic assumptions of a cost allocation method. These assumptions are associated with the economic signals for new investments. This work focuses on the main problems and proposes a new structure for the Brazilian power transmission wheeling charges. The tariff will continue to follow the ICRP model but with some adjustments. Instead of using the aggregated form the tariff, it will be compute for each zone or submarket which is set by the transmission network constraints. This drastically reduces the cross-subsidies between the zones that are currently polluted with the postage stamp component.Após oito anos de reestruturação é possível fazer uma análise do atual estágio do setor elétrico brasileiro. Em particular, a forma como foi estruturada a transmissão no sentido de viabilizar a competição nos segmentos de geração e comercialização deve ser revista com o propósito de identificar problemas e possíveis soluções. Dado que a transmissão se caracteriza como um monopólio natural, a regulamentação econômica desta atividade torna-se necessária e a forma como ela é conduzida traz conseqüências diretas sobre o desenvolvimento do setor, não só sob o aspecto do transporte da energia elétrica, como também nas demais atividades associadas à geração e ao consumo. Este trabalho traça um diagnóstico da transmissão sob o aspecto da evolução do nível tarifário e da estrutura tarifária. No que se refere ao nível tarifário, observa-se que a Receita Anual Permitida (RAP) vem subindo a índices superiores aos demais segmentos e isto é devido basicamente à forma como as regras e procedimentos foram desenhadas pelo regulador brasileiro. Com relação à estrutura tarifária adotada, sabe-se que a metodologia Nodal atualmente em uso tem apresentado alguns resultados que conflitam com as premissas básicas de uma metodologia de alocação de custos. Estas premissas estão basicamente associadas à emissão dos sinais econômicos corretos para os novos investimentos. Este trabalho foca os principais problemas e propõe uma nova abordagem para o segmento da transmissão no Brasil. A tarifação nodal deixa de ser nacional para ser zonal cuja definição das zonas, aderente ou não aos submercados, é estabelecida através das restrições da rede. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
