PROVIDING OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK, BASED ON THE OHSAS 18001 STANDARD FOR COMPANIES IN THE GROUP IMPOL, D.O.O.
Zdravje ima neprecenljivo vrednost in je temeljna vrednota, za katero bi moral človek, katerega koli družbenega sloja, skrbeti vse življenje. Iz naslova zdravja izhajajo biološke, družbene ali z eno besedo eksistenčne osnove za življenje. Ljudje smo živa bitja, ki v vsaki stvari iščejo neko varnost, bodisi doma, na področju financ, na delovnem mestu, ipd. Varnost je tesno povezana z zdravjem in pripomore k ohranjanju le tega. Varnost je nekaj, kar omogoča razvoj družbe in posameznika, da uživa v svojem življenju, svoji svobodi in se hkrati počuti varnega. Varnost in zdravje pri delu je pojem, s katerim se sreča vsakdo ki je zaposlen v neki družbi, korporaciji, kot samostojni podjetnik in še bi lahko naštevali. Skrb vsakega izmed nas je, da za varnost in zdravje skrbimo po svojih najboljših močeh, kajti tako vodilni kader kakor, tudi vsak zaposleni na nižjih in najnižjih delovnih mestih ima svojo vlogo pri zagotavljanju celovitega sistema za zagotavljanje varnosti in zdravja pri delu.
Delodajalce (korporacije, koncerne, gospodarske družbe, podjetja itd.) zavezujejo zakoni in podzakonski akti, ki urejajo področje varnosti in zdravja pri delu. Delodajalec mora izdelati oceno ogroženosti in varnostnih tveganj na vseh delovnih mestih, ter na podlagi te ocene delovna mesta ustrezno zaščititi, da se nevarnosti zmanjšajo ali izničijo.
Delojemalci (delavci/zaposleni) so dolžni spoštovati navodila za varno delo, uporabljati varnostna sredstva, varnostne naprave, ter osebno varovalno opremo, skladno z njihovim namenom in navodilom ki so predpisana.
Tako kot v drugih članicah EU se je tudi v Sloveniji okrepila skrb za zaposlene. S Standard OHSAS 18001 razumemo kot okvir za vodenje sistema, ki zaposlenim nudi varno, zdravo in prijetno delovno okolje. Prav tako standard OHSAS 18001 podjetjem prinaša večjo konkurenčnost na trgih, saj podjetja dokazujejo da so njihovi sistemi vodeni celovito.
Skozi raziskavo, ki smo jo izvedli, smo prišli do zanimivih podatkov s katerimi se potrjuje dejstvo, da je varnost in zdravje pri delu zelo pomembno. Rečemo lahko tudi, da se vedno več poudarka daje na zdravje zaposlenih, kar se kaže z manjšimi izgubami delovne sile zaradi bolniških odsotnostih in posledično uspešnejše rezultate poslovanja.Health has an invaluable price and is the essential value for which a human of any social rang should take care all his life. From the title of health originate biological, social or with one word, existential basics for life. We, people are living beings, who look for some kind of safety in everything, whether at home, on the field of finances, at our work place, etc. Safety is closely connected to health and it contributes to preserving of health. Safety is something that enables the development of society and of individual that he enjoys in his life, his freedom and at the same time feels safe. Health and safety at work is a notion, everyone employed in a certain society or corporation, as a private entrepreneur, etc., comes across. Everyone’s concern is to take care for health and safety to the best of our ability. That is because, the leading personnel, as also everyone employed on a lower workplace has his own role in assuring of the comprehensive system for the safety- and health assurance at work.
Employers (corporations, concerns, business companies, companies etc.) are obliged by the laws and regulatory provisions that arrange the field of safety and health at work. Employer has to form an evaluation of endangering and safety- risks at all workplaces and based on the evaluations, properly protect the workplaces to reduce or to cancel out the danger.
Employees (workers/employees) are obliged to respect the safe work instructions, use the safety recourses, safety devices and personal safety equipment in accordance with their intention and instructions that are prescribed.
Just like in other memberships of EU, in Slovenia has also been invigorated the concern for employees. Standard OHSAS 18001 we understand as a framework for leading the system, which offers safe, healthy and pleasant working environment for the employees. The OHSAS Standard also brings to companies a higher competitive position on markets, because companies are proving that their systems are guided comprehensive.
Through the research that we performed, we came to interesting information, with which the fact, that safety and health at work is important, is confirmed. Therefore we can say that there is more and more emphasis on health of the employees, which is seen by less losses of manpower because of the sick leave and consecutive by more successful results of business conduction
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

Pragmatic Case Studies as a Source of Unity in Applied Psychology
To unify or not to unify applied psychology: that is the question. In this article we review pendulum swings in the historical efforts to answer this question—from a comprehensive, positivist, “top-down,” deductive yes between the 1930s and the early 60s, to a postmodern no since then. A rationale and proposal for a limited, “bottom-up,” inductive yes in applied psychology is then presented, employing a case-based paradigm that integrates both positivist and postmodern themes and components. This paradigm is labeled “pragmatic psychology” and, its specific use of case studies, the “Pragmatic Case Study Method” (“PCS Method”). We call for the creation of peer-reviewed journal-databases of pragmatic case studies as a foundational source of unifying applied knowledge in our discipline. As one example, the potential of the PCS Method for unifying different angles of theoretical regard is illustrated in an area of applied psychology, psychotherapy, via the case of Mrs. B. The article then turns to the broader historical and epistemological arguments for the unifying nature of the PCS Method in both applied and basic psychology.Peer reviewe
