The author works for Haarla himself, being the person hired to expand the chemical side. He has familiarized himself with Haarla’s operations and customers by working for the company. The author has idea of the market’s trends, values, and perceptions. Based on the research, it was found that the Finnish detergent manufacturing industry is competitive but standing on strong foundations. The findings suggest that Haarla has capacity to enter the desired detergent manufacturing supplier market. By utilizing their strong economic situation, Haarla can expand to desired detergent market. To maximize their potential, Haarla must work toward achieving representations and focusing their efforts where needed as they advance

The horsemen in the alleys : the political theology and katechon in Nixon's narratives regarding the War on Drugs, 1968–1974

The War on Drugs (WoD) is a phenomenon that changed the political environment not only in the United States, but also in global contexts.: a war which was declared against substances and ideas was in many ways a remarkable and unique phenomenon. This study analyses the formative moments of the War during the timeframe of 1968–1974, and the narratives of its instigator, Richard Nixon, the 37th President of the United States. This study examines the phenomenon of the WoD from the perspective of political theology and the biblical concept of the katechon, applying a Labovian approach to narrative analysis. Katechon has been utilised to frame the WoD as a factor restraining the end of the nation, as Nixon presented the War to be. The focus is put onto three levels of examination: the persons – including persons using and selling illicit substances, the nation and the society of the United States, and drugs as such, as they appear within the narratives of Nixon. The narratives of Nixon regarding the War from an interesting and relevant phenomenon to the discipline of political theology. Analysis shows, how within the narratives, drugs formed the true enemy comparable to the biblical Antichrist, misdirecting the entire society and the nation of the United States into a state of fallenness, threatening the existence of the entire nation. To combat this, Nixon proposed a katechontic strategy in the form of the WoD, which relied on strategies of rehabilitation, exclusion, and more restrictive legal and punitive frameworks.

The L-p-to-L-q boundedness of commutators with applications to the Jacobian operator

Supplying the missing necessary conditions, we complete the characterisation of the L-p -> L-q boundedness of commutators [b, T] of pointwise multiplication and Calderon-Zygmund operators, for arbitrary pairs of 1 q, our results are new even for special classical operators with smooth kernels. As an application, we show that every f is an element of L-p(R-d) can be represented as a convergent series of normalised Jacobians J(u) = det del uof u is an element of (over dot(W))(1,dp)(R-d)(d). This extends, from p = 1 to p > 1, a result of Coifman, Lions, Meyer and Semmes about J:. (over dot(W))(1,d)(R-d)(d) -> H-1(R-d), and supports a conjecture of Iwaniec about the solvability of the equation Ju = f is an element of L-p(R-d). (C) 2021 The Author(s). Therefore, metametaphysics might be defined as the study of the foundations and methodology of Metaphysics. This bachelor's thesis discusses the guitar quartet Los Quatro's concert, which the author is part of. Teams interrupted: Social work teams as Communities of Practice and Coping during Covid-19

    No full text
This chapter considers the functioning of social work teams during the Covid-19 pandemic. Existing research suggests that the team plays an important role in child and family social work. Informal conversations in the office act as a source of knowledge and supportive relationships with colleagues enable social workers to manage the emotional challenges of child welfare. However, during the pandemic mandatory home-working, coupled with increasingly hybrid working practices, presented both challenges and opportunities for social workers’ connection with colleagues. Drawing on research carried out by the authors, this chapter examines the impact of the pandemic on child and family social work teams in England. We introduce two concepts: Wenger’s (1998) Communities of Practice (CoP) and Korczynski’s (2003) Communities of Coping (ComC) as a theoretical framework for conceptualising teams. We consider the legacy of Covid-19 for social work teams, offering recommendations for supporting effective teamwork in the increasingly hybrid, post-pandemic world

Transformative Disruption?:Reflections on Care in Social Work under a COVID-19 Pandemic Lockdown

    No full text
The chapter focuses on the possibilities for sustaining care in social work with vulnerable families during a pandemic lock down in Denmark, and discusses if disruption of normal practices can be a source for learning and transformation. First, we outline a concept of care and argue that a pandemic lock down can disrupt professional care but may also reveal structural weaknesses and offer paths for critical reflective transformation. Next, we introduce to structural challenges in social work with vulnerable families related to expectations of cost-effectiveness and efficiency and analyse, how social workers experience and reflect on the possibilities for sustaining care during the lock down. The analysis shows that prioritising scarce resources to enable care becomes paramount. While the social workers experience moments of enabling and (re)discovering the “essence of social work” as well as a sense of community with families, they also feel “worn out” and wonder what will be the future possibilities for care. For example, will management acknowledge and prioritize the need for resources and time for care in the aftermath of Covid 19, or will conditions during the lock down become “the new normal”. Based on this, we discuss the possibilities for a transformative disruption focusing on governmental, organisational and professional recognition of the caring purpose of and pre-condition to social work. This chapter focuses on the possibilities for sustaining care in social work with vulnerable families during a pandemic lockdown and discusses if disruption of normal practices can be a source for learning and transformation.
