Political Practice and Its Implication on Folk Art Marginalization (Case Study of Wayang Orang/ Human Puppet Ngesti Pandhowo)
The government, political practice, both reflected in the government, politics, policies and the attitude of the public figure, influences the existence of folk art that is overshadowed by changes as the results of modernization and industrialization. The aim of this research is to find out the marginalization of folk art because of political practice. This research was done using a qualitative approach while the subject of this research was Ngesti Pandhawa Human Puppet Group. The result of this research showed that folk art could be marginalized because of the influence of the changes in economic and politic that was formulated inside the modernization waves and technology development that offered new values. The attention of the government on the existence of folk art was still being questioned because of politic budget. The budget for art was extremely small compared to the budget for sport. The existence of folk art depended on the favor and interest of the local leaders, especially political interest

Perkembangan Motorik Anak Down Syndrome Melalui Pembelajaran Seni di SLB Pelita Ilmu Semarang
Artikel ini mengkaji tentang Pengaruh Pembelajaran Seni Tari pada Gerakan Motorik
Anak Penyandang Down Syndrome di SLB Pelita Ilmu Semarang. Tujuan ditulisnya artikel ini
yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana pengaruh pembelajaran seni tari terhadap
perkembangan motorik kasar dan halus pada anak down syndrome. Metode yang digunakan
yaitu metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi di mana peneliti
melakukan pengamatan langsung saat pembelajaran dilakukan. Teknik pengumpulan data
yang digunakan yaitu observasi terhadap objek penelitian, wawancara kepada kepala sekolah
serta guru seni tari SLB Pelita Ilmu Semarang, dan pengambilan dokumentasi berupa foto,
video, serta data-data sekolah yang dibutuhkan. Teknik analisis dilakukan melalui penyortiran
antara data-data yang digunakan dalam penelitian, kemudian data disajikan ke dalam tulisan,
dan ditarik kesimpulannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penilaian terhadap perngaruh
pembelajaran seni tari terhadap gerak motorik anak down syndrome dapat dilihat dari dua hal
yaitu motorik halus dan motorik kasar. Pada motorik halus dapat dilihat berdasarkan otot-otot
halus wajah yang ditunjukkan melalui ekspresi wajah, sedangkan motorik kasar dapat dilihat
berdasarkan kemampuan bergerak siswa meliputi keseimbangan, kekuatan, dan kelincahan.
Kesimpulan, bahwa SLB Pelita Ilmu Semarang dalam memberikan pembelajaran tari pada
siswa down syndrome memiliki hasil yang berbeda pada masing-masing anak, namun semua
anak memperlihatkan perkembangan sesuai yang diharapkan. Hasil penelitian dapat
berkontribusi dalam memberikan wawasan dan pengetahuan terkait pendidikan seni tari
terhadap anak down syndrome
Kethoprak Humor: Kajian Kerja Sama Dalam Dialog Antarpemain Dalam Membentuk Cerita Ketoprak Gobyok H.M. Syakirun Lakon "Jaka Kendhil" (Humour Ketoprak: Joint Reseachn in Inter Player Dialogue in Forming Kethoprak Gebyok H.M Syakiran Tittle "Joko Kendil")
Di tengah maraknya jenis hiburan modern seperti sinetron, ketoprak sebagai salah satubentuk kesenian tradisional tak pelak harus bersaing dengan jenis hiburan moderntersebut untuk memperoleh perhatian di hati masyarakat. Terutama karena adanyaperubahan selera masyarakat terhadap kesenian tradisional semacam ketoprak Keseniantradisional memang harus berkompromi dan beradaptasi agar bisa bertahan. Ketoprak Humor,Ketoprak Canda, Ketoprak Jampi Stres, atau Ketoprak Plesetan relatif berhasil melakukannyamelalui televisi. Agar tontonan ini tidak cepat membosankan, maka pihaknyamembalutnya dengan humor segar. Apa yang dilakukan Kethoprak Humor ini menjadiinspirasi bagi Kethoprak Gobyok pimpinan H.M. Syakirun, yakni mengemas kethoprakdengan menonjolkan sisi humor, hanya saja Kethoprak Gobyok masih memakai bahasaJawa sebagai media penyampai pesannya. Kethoprak sebagai sebuah teater tradisionalterikat oleh hukum panggung. Hukum panggung ini menyangkut bagaimana akting diahirsecara baik dan bagaimana dialog mampu menjadi sarana untuk menyampaikan lakonkepada penonton. Agar dialog dapat benar-benar hadir secara baik sehingga penontondapat menikmati cerita secara uttth perlu ada kerjasama yang baik antarpemain. Namundemikian pada praktiknya Prinsip Kerja Sama yang terjaUn bagus dalam kethoprak padaumumnya, dalam konteks kethoprak humor justru sering dilanggar. Hal ini dilakukanuntuk menciptakan efek humor, penciptaan efek humor ini dilakukan dengan caramelanggar kebenaran dan melanggar kelaziman. Namun demikian, meski menonjolkansisi humor, Kethoprak Gobyok masih berusaha menjaga agar alur cerita tidakmenyimpang, dan humor yang dilontarkan tidak mengganggu dialog antarpemain. Analysis of Topeng Jaya Perbangsa's Performance in Cirebon Regency
Jaya Perbangsa mask dance performance is a creation taken from the Mahabhrata story, with a blend of two dances between jaipong and mask dance with contemporary touch, with new types of accompaniment in West Java. The researcher's aim is to analyze the performance form of Jaya Perbangsa mask dance. This research uses a qualitative method, with an ethnochoreology approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Analysis of the performance form of Jaya Perbangsa mask dance consists of, performance structure and performance elements of Jaya Perbangsa mask dance. The dancers do not have a mandatory number, and are performed by female dancers who are required to bring a dashing Gatotkaca character, strong power, and a wide volume of motion. The makeup used by dancers uses corrective makeup with the characteristic three-braid hair
KUDA LUMPING DANCE AS LEARNING MEDIA TO FULFILL AESTHETICAL AND EXPRESSION DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG CHILDREN
Indonesia is rich in cultural and traditional arts which grow and develop among various remote areas across the nation. One of well-known traditional dances is Kuda Lumping dance which thrives from Java Island specifically in Central Java. Kuda Lumping can almost be found in every district in which all people from different ages like it. As a traditional dance, Kuda Lumping can also be played either by adults or by children. Regarding this, this study is aimed at analyzing Kuda Lumping dance as a medium for aesthetic fulfillment and expression especially for young children education. A qualitative method with three research instruments namely observation, interview, and documentation were utilized to collect data. The data were then validated by using triangulation. Meanwhile, data analysis was done by an interactive model through data presentation, reduction, verification throughout the process, and research focus description. The results of the study showed that generally children have an aesthetic potential which is indicated from aesthetic expressions of their body movements. Their hands, feet, head and body move following the music rhythm. Children were able to perform some hand gestures such as ukel, ulaulap, ngithing, ngruji, and nyempurit. In addition, those motions are functioned as a medium expression for children that gave them energy and space to express their feelings. Therefore, Kuda Lumping dance offers media in the form of motions and musical elements that both of them can encourage students to express their feelings. THE PUBLIC PERCEPTIONS TOWARDS SORENG DANCE AT LEMAHIRENG VILLAGE BAWEN, SEMARANG
Soreng dance is a kind of populist dance in the village Lemahireng. Dance Soreng describe the morale of the troops brave choice soldiers prepared for war games. Issues examined in this study are: Public perception of the Dance in the Village Lemahireng Soreng Bawen District of Semarang District. Goals to be achieved in this research is to determine the public perception in the village Lemahireng Bawen District of Semarang District and to determine the measures to be undertaken by the Department of Education and Culture. This study uses qualitative research methods and conduct research with a sociological approach method. Data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results showed that of some perceptions obtained from the community about Tari Soreng. Perception is not present in the community to support children age (12-17 years) and younger age (17-25 years) and that support tends society in old age (25-85 years). Factors that affect the public perception of dance in the village Soreng Lemahireng Bawen District of Semarang District is the background for the birth of the perception of the community as a high level of education makes way people view more open and modern. The effort to do Office of Education and Culture of Semarang District is to provide guidance Dance Soreng should start with their own community in their respective regions, also carried out by a group of community Soreng kridho Wargo budhoyo, one form of effective formation is to hold a festival or competition. The conclusions of the study are: Problems sector in the public perception depends on your viewpoint and how to view an art. Dance Soreng perception of change in different elements of society Lemahireng village along with the advancement of age. Suggestions for the Education and Culture District of Semarang, to further maximize conservation efforts in the utilization of Dance Soreng in science and tourism. The younger generation is expected to be more easily studied dance Soreng and is expected to preserve and develop it
