Support for enterprise applications in SOFA 2
Title: Support for Enterprise Applications in SOFA 2 Author: Tibor Blénessy Department: Department of Distributed and Dependable Systems Supervisor of the master thesis: RNDr. Tomáš Bureš, Ph.D. Abstract: Industry standards defining various aspects of enterprise systems were developed in order to make development of such systems faster and to increase interoperability. For systems created with Java platform, these standards are contained under Java Enterprise Edition. SOFA 2 component system provides a solid base for development of ex- tensive component oriented systems. Goal of this work is to propose and empirically verify the possibility of integration of existing industry standards for enterprise applications in SOFA 2. Proposed solution extends SOFA 2 with components for web user in- terfaces based on Java Servlet API standard and with components for persisting data into relational databases based on Java Peristence API. In addition, it integrates core technologies from the Java Enterprise Edition platform, which should make integration of further standards easier. Keywords: enteprise applications, component system, SOFA 2, Java E
Modular Sofa Technology Development
The objective of the master’s thesis “Modular sofa technology development” is to promote sustainable use of resources in the furniture manufacturing industry. The theoretical part of the thesis contains a study on the elements influencing the production of furniture, which served as the basis for identifying the specific problem: adapting furniture to the changing requirements of design and functionality is not economically feasible. In the practical part of the thesis, after evaluating and comparing four possible project alternatives for solving the specific problem, the author developed a project proposal and a project handbook for the development of modular sofa technology, which would allow the adjustment of its shape, size, functionality, material and colour as needed. The master’s thesis consists of 97 pages, 16 tables, 19 pictures and 33 appendices

Predictors of Stunting, Wasting and Underweight among Tanzanian Children Born to HIV-Infected Women.
Children born to human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-infected women are susceptible to undernutrition, but modifiable risk factors and the time course of the development of undernutrition have not been well characterized. The objective of this study was to identify maternal, socioeconomic and child characteristics that are associated with stunting, wasting and underweight among Tanzanian children born to HIV-infected mothers, followed from 6 weeks of age for 24 months. Maternal and socioeconomic characteristics were recorded during pregnancy, data pertaining to the infant's birth were collected immediately after delivery, morbidity histories and anthropometric measurements were performed monthly. Multivariate Cox proportional hazards methods were used to assess the association between potential predictors and the time to first episode of stunting, wasting and underweight. A total of 2387 infants (54.0% male) were enrolled and followed for a median duration of 21.2 months. The respective prevalence of prematurity (<37 weeks) and low birth weight (<2500 g) was 15.2% and 7.0%; 11.3% of infants were HIV-positive at 6 weeks. Median time to first episode of stunting, wasting and underweight was 8.7, 7.2 and 7.0 months, respectively. Low maternal education, few household possessions, low infant birth weight, child HIV infection and male sex were all independent predictors of stunting, wasting and underweight. In addition, preterm infants were more likely to become wasted and underweight, whereas those with a low Apgar score at birth were more likely to become stunted. Interventions to improve maternal education and nutritional status, reduce mother-to-child transmission of HIV, and increase birth weight may lower the risk of undernutrition among children born to HIV-infected women
Routing Attacs pada Internet Of Things Berbasis Smart Intrution Detecion System
AbstractInternet of Things (IoT) has entered various aspects of human life including smart city, smart home, smart street, and smart industries that use the internet to get the information they need. Even though it\u27s encrypted and authenticated, Internet protocol IPv6 over Low-Power Wireless Personal Area Networks (6LoWPAN) networks that can connect limited resources to IoT are still unreliable. This is because these objects can still be exposed to attacks from 6LoWPAN and the internet. This paper presents the performance of an Smart Intrusion Detection System based on Compression Header Analyzer to analyze other routing attack models on IoT networks. IDS uses a 6LoWPAN compression header as a feature for machine learning algorithms in learning the types of routing attacks. Simulation scenario was developed to detect routing attacks in the form of selective forwarding and sinkhole. Testing is done using the feature selection and machine learning algorithm. Feature selection is used to determine significant features that can distinguish between normal and abnormal activities. While machine learning algorithm is used to classify attacks on IoT networks. There were seven machine learning algorithms used in the classification including Random Forests, Random Trees, J48, Bayes Net, JRip, SMO, and Naive Bayes. Experiment Results to show the results of the Smart Intrusion Detection System based on Compression Header Analyzer in analyzing routing attacks. Creative Design Based on Mechanism Regeneration of a Sofa Bed
Creative design plays a quite important role in mechanical product processing, which affects the mechanical development of all over the country. Much research on the mechanical design is carried on. The paper is mainly based on Yan’s Creative Mechanism Design Methodology, in which the author carries out some research in Type Synthesis based on the Number Synthesis Method. And kinematic chains of eight links and ten joints can be gained from embryo graphs. In the article, the author proposes a systematic method for the creation of a sofa bed. In the process, some rules are brought in, and the original structure is changed for other structures with the same functions but different shapes. At last, many probable schemes different from the original mechanism are obtained. The next step is to choose the most proper scheme in order to carry on the further analysis.</jats:p
Sublingual microcirculation in patients with a severe COVID-19 infection and in patients who develop cardiogenic shock after cardiothoracic surgery
Background and aim: The exact pathophysiology of a COVID-19 infection is still not completely understood, which complicates treatment of the disease. In order to clarify the pathophysiologic mechanisms and optimize treatment methods, monitoring of the sublingual microcirculation may be valuable. From studies in septic patients, we know that microcirculation is impaired and that the microcirculation better describes severity of illness than different macrocirculatory parameters. In this study, we aimed to investigate the changes of the microcirculation and the macrocirculation over time in patients with a COVID-19 infection who were admitted to the ICU and see if this was different in patients who are more or less severely ill based on SOFA score.Materials and methods: Macrocirculatory and microcirculatory measurements were performed as soon as possible after admission to the ICU (T0) and then at 24 and 48 hours (T1 and T2). Patients were divided into subgroups based on the median SOFA score to make a distinction between more and less severely ill patients. To investigate the development of the macrocirculatory and microcirculatory parameters over time and to compare this in patients with different severity of illness, a linear mixed model analysis was performed. Results: 21 COVID-19 patients were included for analysis. The median SOFA score was 8 and no differences were found in clinical and demographic patient characteristics between SOFA groups. Patients in the low SOFA score group had higher PaO2 values and lower lactate levels compared to patients in the high SOFA score group (p = 0.033 and p = 0.007 respectively). In the low SOFA score group, mean PPV and mean FCD were higher compared to the high SOFA score group (p = 0.018 and p = 0.034 respectively). TVD showed a trend towards significance, with higher mean TVD values for patients in the low SOFA score group.Discussion: We found that microcirculation parameters measured at T0 were not significantly different between patient subgroups. Analysis of the course of the microcirculation over 48 hours (T0-T2) however, shows that for less severely ill patients PPV and FCD remain higher than for more severely ill patients. So, there may be a relationship between severity of illness of patients with a COVID-19 infection and the ability to activate microcirculatory compensatory mechanisms in order to draw on reserve capacity in a situation of hypoxemia.Technical Medicin

The early change of SOFA score as a prognostic marker of 28-day sepsis mortality: Analysis through a derivation and a validation cohort
Background: Since the Sepsis-3 criteria, change in Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) score has become a key component of sepsis identification. Thus, it could be argued that reversal of this change (ΔSOFA) may reflect sepsis response and could be used as measure of efficacy in interventional trials. We aimed to assess the predictive performance of ΔSOFA for 28-day mortality. Methods: Data from two previously published randomized controlled trials were studied: the first reporting on patients with severe Gram-negative infections as a derivation cohort and the second reporting on patients with ventilator-associated pneumonia as a validation cohort. Only patients with sepsis according to the Sepsis-3 definition were included in this analysis. SOFA scores were calculated on days 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 14, and 28. Results: We included 448 patients within the derivation cohort and 199 within the validation cohort. Mean SOFA scores on day 1 were 6.06 ± 4.07 and 7.84 ± 3.39, and 28 day mortality 22.8% and 29.6%, respectively. In the derivation cohort, the earliest time point where ΔSOFA score predicted mortality was day 7 (AUROC (95% CI) 0.84 (0.80-0.89); p < 0.001). The best tradeoff for prediction was found with 25% changes (78% sensitivity, 80% specificity); less than 25% decrease of admission SOFA was associated with increased mortality (odds ratio for death 14.87). This finding was confirmed in the validation cohort. Conclusions: ΔSOFA on day 7 is a useful early prognostic marker of 28-day mortality and could serve as an endpoint in future sepsis trials alongside mortality. © 2019 The Author(s)
