Estudio de Habilidad combinatoria para rendimiento y componentes de calidad en 36 híbridos de uchuva (Physalis peruviana L)
La uchuva “Physalis peruviana” originaria de los andes peruanos es actualmente uno de los frutos exóticos de mayor relevancia para Colombia, la demanda para exportación requiere que la fruta posea características ideales de rendimiento y calidad de fruto. De ahí que se requieran algunos estudios que busquen establecer los efectos y estructura genética para dar un mejor direccionamiento a programas de mejoramiento genético. Para esto, se evaluaron 36 híbridos de uchuva obtenidos a partir de 9 líneas endogámicas (1) 12U347, (2) 12U350, (3) 12U352, (4) 12U357, (5) 12U360, (6) 12U368, (7) 12U374, (8) 12U377, (9) 12U39, en cuatro localidades del departamento de Nariño; Gualmatán, Puerres, Pasto e Ipiales. Con el fin de determinar los efectos de habilidad combinatoria general (HCG) y habilidad combinatoria específica (HCE) en rendimiento y características de calidad de fruto y con base en estas variables seleccionar los mejores híbridos en las diferentes localidades, para ello se realizó polinización manual, generando 36 cruzamientos directos entre las nueve líneas. Se evaluaron 18 variables (agronómicas y de calidad de fruta). Bajo un diseño dialélico método IV modelo fijo de Griffing (1956). Se realizó un análisis de componentes principales (ACP) con el fin de reducir la dimensión de las variables, condensándose en 9 variables: peso de fruto con cáliz (PCC), peso de fruto sin cáliz (PSC), diámetro ecuatorial del fruto (DE), eje polar (EP) peso de semillas por fruto (PSF), número de semillas por fruto (NSF) porcentaje de ácido cítrico (AC), solidos solubles totales (SST) y rendimiento comercial (RTOC); que explican el 70.96% de la variación total. El análisis de varianza combinado índico diferencias significativas en la interacción genotipo ambiente para las variables AC, RTOC y RTOA a través de todas las localidades. El análisis de HCG reportó que en las variables DE, EP, AC, SST, RTOA y RTOC fueron importantes los efectos aditivos, mediante el análisis de HCE se identificó que este tuvo significancia a nivel general solo en las variables DE y PCC. La selección de los híbridos superiores con los valores altos de rendimiento comercial y agronómico para Gualmatan fueron 7x8, 3x8 y 2x9; en Ipiales 2x10, 1x3 y 4x8; en Pasto fueron 1x7, 1x4 y 3x4; en Puerres 2x6, 2x8 y 2x3 los cuales pueden ser tenidos en cuenta para futuros programas de mejoramiento por selección recurrente ya que proceden de padres con alta habilidad combinatoria general (2,3,4 y 8) o por hibridación.//Abstract: The cape gooseberry "Physalis peruviana" native to the Peruvian Andes is currently one of the most important exotic fruits for Colombia, the demand for export requires that the fruit has ideal characteristics of yield and fruit quality. Hence, some studies that seek to establish the effects and genetic structure to give a better direction to genetic improvement programs are required. For this, we evaluated 36 cape gooseberry hybrids obtained from 9 inbred lines (1) 12U347, (2) 12U350, (3) 12U352, (4) 12U357, (5) 12U360, (6) 12U368, (7) 12U374 , (8) 12U377, (9) 12U39, in four localities of the department of Nariño; Gualmatán, Puerres, Pasto and Ipiales. In order to determine the effects of general combinatorial ability (HCG) and specific combinatorial ability (HCE) in yield and fruit quality characteristics and based on these variables select the best hybrids in the different localities, for this manual pollination was carried out , generating 36 direct crosses between the nine lines. We evaluated 18 variables (agronomic and fruit quality). Under a design dialélico IV method fixed model of Griffing (1956). An analysis of main components (ACP) was carried out in order to reduce the size of the variables, condensing into 9 variables: fruit weight with calyx (PCC), fruit weight without calyx (PSC), equatorial diameter of the fruit (DE ), polar axis (EP) weight of seeds per fruit (PSF), number of seeds per fruit (NSF) percentage of citric acid (AC), total soluble solids (SST) and commercial yield (RTOC); which explain 70.96% of the total variation. The combined variance analysis indicated significant differences in the genotype environment interaction for the AC, RTOC and RTOA variables across all localities. The HCG analysis reported that in the DE, EP, AC, SST, RTOA and RTOC variables the additive effects were important, by means of the HCE analysis it was identified that this had significance at a general level only in the DE and PCC variables. The selection of the superior hybrids with the high values of commercial and agronomic yield for Gualmatan were 7x8, 3x8 and 2x9; in Ipiales 2x10, 1x3 and 4x8; in Pasto they were 1x7, 1x4 and 3x4; in Puerres 2x6, 2x8 and 2x3 which can be taken into account for future improvement programs by recurrent selection since they come from parents with high general combinatorial ability (2,3,4 and 8) or by hybridization.Maestrí
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

EFICIENCIA RELATIVA DEL DISEÑO LATICE CON RESPECTO LOS DISEÑOS BLOQUES AL AZAR EIRRESTRICTAMENTE A AZAR EN UN ENSAYO DE RENDIMIENTO DE MAÍZ DE CLIMA MEDIO
Con el objeto de promover el uso de los diseños latice en ensayos de campo, se desarrolló el presente trabajo, considerando la eficiencia relativa del diseño latice simple 5 x 5 (LSd 5 x 5) con respecto a los diseños bloques completos al azar (BCA) e irrestrictamente al azar (DIA), aplicándolos a los resultados de un ensaya de rendimiento de 25 familias de medios hermanos de la población de maíz amarillo regional Matiuy en una zona de clima medio del municipio de Nariño. Para este caso en particular, en el diseño DÍA se necesitarán 116 y 114 repeticiones para obtener la misma información de 100 repeticiones en LSd 5 x 5 y en BCA respectivamente. Con relación a la eficiencia relativa del LSd 5 x5 respecto al diseño en BCA, se puede establecer que es baja, pudiéndose utilizar para el análisis de este caso, cualquiera de los dos diseños. El bloqueo de las unidades experimentales contribuyó a disminuir el valor del cuadrado medio del error. ABSTRACTThis work was carried out with the purpose to promote the use the lattice designs in field trials, considering the relative efficiency of the lattice simple duplicate 5x5 (LSd 5 x 5) respect to the randomized complete blocks (RCB) and completely randomized (CR) designs having in mind the results the one yield trial of 25 half sibs the Matituy maize regional population under one moderate clime zone of La Florida town, Nariño's department. In this case, under CR design is necessary 116 and 114 replications to obtain the same information than 100 replications with SLd 5x5 and RCB respectively. About the relative efficiency between SLd 5 x 5 to RCB, this is low, is possible to use in this case, some of the two designs. The experimental units blocking contribute to reduce the size of the experimental error
DIVERGENCIA GENÉTICA Y HETEROSIS
El análisis de la divergencia genética de la población base de un programa de mejoramiento, permite establecer progenitores o genotipos contrastantes, los cuales pueden dar lugar a combinaciones hibridas, descendientes con alto vigor híbrido o individuos transgresivos que pueden originar híbridos o variedades comerciales. En este artículo, se presentan los principios teóricos del análisis de divergencia genética y se analiza su importancia en la identificación de combinaciones híbridas, en las cuales se puede explotar la heterosis. Además, se discuten los fundamentos de la heterosis. ABSTRACTI he analysis of the population's genetic divergence bases of a program of improvement, it allows to establish progenitors or contrasting genotypes, which can generate in hybrid combinations, descending with high hybrid vigor or transgressive individuals that can originate hybrid or commercial varieties. In this paper, the theoretical principles of the analysis of genetic divergence are presented and their importance is analyzed in the identification of hybrid combinations, in which you can exploit the heterosis. Also, the foundations of the heterosis are discussed.

We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
