Topicality. To determine the effectiveness of the use of physical therapy in Parkinson's disease with different onset (early and late) course of the disease and the level of blood pressure. Objectives of the study: to develop and apply to patientswith various forms  with Parkinson's disease  with predominantly non-motor manifestations program of physical therapy. To study the effectiveness of the developed physical therapy program on the scale of assessment of the state of non-motor symptoms, mental disorders and cognitive impairment in early and late onset of Parkinson's disease with different levels of blood pressure.Research results. After the physical therapy, the condition of the patients improved in all groups of patients surveyed not to the same extent. Improvement was more commonly observed in groups of patients with early onset Parkinson's disease with relatively normal blood pressure, with the use of exercise and the entire range of physical therapy we developed. Changes in the status of patients after physical therapy for the better were recorded by both subjective and objective survey data. Particularly significant were the data from the study on the scale of assessment of patients with non-motor manifestations of Parkinson's disease (scale of non-motor symptoms – NMSS, scale of mental disorders – MMSE, Montreal scale of cognitive disorders-MOCA). They demonstrated a significant statistically difference between control and study groups of patients with normal blood pressure toward improvement in the final examination scores.Conclusions. The condition of patients with normal blood pressure and early onset of the disease who received the developed complex of physical therapy according to the studies was significantly better than in the group of patients who did not receive physical therapy with high blood pressure, which testifies to the higher efficiency of the developed by us and applied complex physical therapy of non-motor manifestations of Parkinson's disease in patients with early-onset development of Parkinson's disease with normal blood pressure

The analysis of the obtained results shows that physical therapy against the background of nutritional correction improves the condition of patients with gastrointestinal non-motor manifestations of Parkinson's disease according to the data of coprological study. The developed program of physical therapy against the background of a special diet is effective for the correction of gastrointestinal non-motor manifestations of Parkinson's disease and may be recommended for wider introduction

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Topicality. Determination of the level of efficiency of physical culture classes according to the study of catecholamine excretion to find out the role of physical activity in the activity of a certain level of integration of the neuroendocrine system in the body's adaptive processes. Objectives of the study: to study the content of catecholamines in the daily urine of groups of people who were engaged and those who were not engaged in physical culture by chromatographic method – to compare the results of the study to substantiate the relevance of research on the regularities of sympatho-adrenal system responses to various environmental factors.Research results.. Changes in the content of adrenaline, including its reduction in the urine of the main group in the dynamics and a slight increase in the content of dopamine in the urine compared with the control group testify of involving the exchange of catecholamines in the regulatory mechanisms of various physiological processes. A statistically significant higher level of adrenaline excretion and a decrease in the excretion of other catecholamines in the urine of the main group of subjects, and a better overall subjective state of the main group indicates a significant effect of physical culture on the establishment of neurotransmitter balance, possibly due to activation of neurohormone synthesis.Conclusions. Physical training and sufficient motor activity have a positive effect on the production and excretion of catecholamines and the establishment of an optimal neurotransmitter balance to improve adaptive processes in the human bod

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
