Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Kendaraan Ramah Lingkungan Berbasis Nirkabel (Environmentally Friendly Vehicle-Based Wireless)
ABSTRAKSI: Dewasa ini perkembangan teknologi semakin pesat di segala bidang sehingga menimbulkan karya-karya baru di bidang teknologi. Banyak inovasi bermunculan salah satunya adalah inovasi yang mengusung tema teknologi hijau. Kita menyadari bahwa kendaraan yang ada saat ini tidak mencerminkan ramah lingkungan, kebanyakan masih menggunakan bahan bakar minyak (BBM) yang menghasilkan asap dari kendaraan dan berdampak mencemari lingkungan. Menanggapi hal tersebut, dalam proyek akhir ini tersirat ide untuk merancang sebuah kendaraan yang mengusung tema green teknologi. Kendaraan tersebut merupakan kendaraan yang pengoperasiannya menggunakan media nirkabel (wireless) via remote control. Output dari proyek akhir ini berupa kendaraan berbasis nirkabel yang khusus untuk satu orang dengan analisa kekuatan material pada beban 60 kg. Kendaraan tersebut dirancang dengan nyaman dan aman serta dapat bergerak maju mundur, kanan, kiri serta dapat di atur kecepatannya layaknya kendaraan pada umumnya dimana seluruh gerakan dapat di kontrol sendiri oleh pemakai melalui nirkabel (wireless) via remote control. Perkembangan kendaraan ini di harapkan dapat meningkatkan inovasi yang berbasis teknologi hijau yang dapat di manfaatkan oleh masyarakat luas sebagai kendaraan sehari-hari tanpa mencemari lingkungan.Kata Kunci : kendaraan , nirkabel, remote controlABSTRACT: Today the rapid technological developments in all areas, giving rise to new works in the field of technology. Many innovations popping one of them is the theme of innovation of green technology. We realize that the vehicle does not reflect the current environment friendly, most are still using fuel oil (BBM) which produces smoke from vehicles pollute the environment and affect. In response, the final project implied the idea to design a vehicle that carries the theme of green technology. The vehicle is a vehicle which is operated using a wireless media (Wireless) via remote control The output of this final project is expected based wireless technology specifically for one person with a material strength analysis on load 60 kg. The vehicle is designed with a comfortable and safe as well as be able to move forward and backward, right, left, and can be set like vehicle speed is generally where all movement is controlled by the user via a wireless (wireless) via remote control. PERANCANGAN MEKANIKA DAN REALISASI KONTROL MOBIL LISTRIK
Perkembangan jumlah kendaraan di Indonesia semakin meningkat. Kendaraan-kendaraan
tersebut menggunakan bahan bakar minyak ( BBM ) yang tidak sedikit. Apabila ketergantungan
dan penggunaan terhadap bahan bakar minyak ini terus berlanjut, maka kemandirian energi kita
akan semakin terancam. Jika tidak ada diversifikasi dalam pembaruan energi, khususnya
penggunaan energi alternatif untuk alat transportasi jalan raya, maka ketersediaan BBM akan
habis.
Tuntutan akan penyediaan kendaraan untuk transportasi yang mempunyai sifat efisiensi
tinggi dan emisi polutan yang rendah semakin menguat. Telah diketahui oleh masyarakat umum
bahwa energi elektrik mempunyai sifat yang dibutuhkan tersebut, sehingga kendaraan elektrik
seperti mobil elektrik masih terus menjadi perhatian. Keistimewaan lain energi elektrik yang
berkaitan adalah kemudahan penyaluran energinya, sehingga kesulitan distribusi sumber energi
dapat ditekan sekecil mungkin. Perkembangan kendaraan elektrik di Indonesia yang di harapkan
menghasilkan suatu revolusi kendaraan yang memiliki konservasi energi dan penurunan emisi
polutan. Penelitian dan pengembangan kendaraan elektrik ini meliputi penggerak motor elektrik,
manajemen penggunaan sumber energi, dan pengendali motor elektrik. Dampak dari mobil
elektrik ini terutama pada efisiensi yang tinggi, emisi polutan yang rendah dan keandalan yang
tinggi, dan harga yang terjangkau.
Pada umumnya, penelitian tentang mobil listrik di ruang lingkup mahasiswa hanya sebatas
prototype, serta masih memanfaatkan komponen-komponen yang kurang memadai sehingga
hasilnya kurang maksimal. Sehingga pada akhirnya hanya menjadi barang yang tidak terpakai.
Dengan adanya fonomena tersebut maka di rancang-lah sebuah prototype mobil elektrik yang
dimensi dan fungsinya sama seperti mobil pada umunya. Di sisi mekanik, prototype tersebut tetap
memperhatikan keamanan dan kenyamanan pengendaranya serta memiliki tampilan yang menarik.Mobil listrik ini kedepannya akan menjadi wadah riset yang sangat bagus guna memfasilitasi
mahasasiswa dan dosen untuk meningkatkan kemampuan riset, khususnya di bidang; elektronika
daya, kontrol, telekomunikasi, telemetri, dan mekanika. Hal tersebut selaras dengan tujuan Telkom
University untuk mencapai Research University. Selain itu, hal tersebut juga merupakan salah satu
upaya untuk mendukung program Go Green dari Telkom University, yang merupakan salah satu
wujud kepedulian Telkom University terhadap lingkungan.

Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
