Eraclea Minoa, near Agrigento, is an important observatory for understanding the forms of private residential buildings during the late Hellenistic period, especially, for the phases of painted decoration. The historical events
that affected the city created an archaeological deposit of high documentary value. Likewise, due to the different forces that ruled the city, the forms of decoration shed light on cultural convergences and on the ways of private self-representation.
The study aims to understand the plaster and stucco decoration of the Hellenistic dwellings. Some new acquisitions from the old depots, as well as the investigations carried out since 1952, allow us to attempt to recompose a
still excessively fragmented context
Progetto ArcheoNevola
In last 15 years of archaeological excavations at Senigallia have been studied new ceramic contexts that showed the characteristics of the material culture of the city in a period known already for Borgia’s and Della Rovere Dukes intrigues. The city's wealth and its dynamic market will help to establish a center of great economic importance due to its favorable location along Mid-Adriatic coasts. In Piazza del Duca’s contexts and inside two blocks of the old urban plan, as well as in the restoration of the castle Della Rovere, the finds illustrate the material culture of this community which features pottery of extreme wealth and tableware plain and glazed, imported vessels from various regions of the Adriatic Sea, from the western Mediterranean, as well as regional productions. They are the result of a prosperous land, well connected in the network of settlements of central Italy. The city in this period is almost entirely overhauled twice with new massive fortifications and with completely different forms. Tax relief on businesses and the great works in drainage of the territory attracted considerable mass of rural population and numerous merchants of various Jewish communities. Population growth along with the strengthening of political rapprochement with the pontifical family and the Roman aristocracy marked the takeoff of this city and its Fiera della Maddalena, the so called ‘Fiera franca,’ where customs duties were paid. These conditions led to the birth of one of the most important markets of Adriatic Italy, with trade from all the Mediterranean countries, with 14 foreign consulates in the eighteenth century, to protect commercial activities. In this paper we will try to show how the associations between ceramics categories characterize different areas of the settlement. For this purpose we selected a privileged zone, as the Rocca, a residential sector and two areas of housing near the Market
Starting from the evidence provided by the small town of Cagli (PU), a former statio on the Via Flaminia, this paper suggests that the ‘crisis’ of the 3 rd century was an important factor in changing the landscape of Italy in Late Antiquity. Different opinions, focussing on ‘continuity’ instead of ‘crisis’, do not take into account the centrality of Italy when evaluating the Roman Imperial world

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
