No full textIl contributo presenta il tracciato metodologico che ha guidato la ricerca transdisciplinare di interesse comune intrapresa dall’Università di Verona e dalla Regione del Veneto in occasione della progettazione preliminare delle opere di invaso seguite al Piano delle azioni e degli interventi di mitigazione del rischio idraulico e geologico steso all’indomani dell’alluvione del 2010. L’interpretazione geografica dell’evoluzione del territorio, in particolare dei rapporti uomo-ambiente osservabili nel corso del tempo, in relazione alle regioni fluviali, viene praticata come spazio di un incontro possibile tra modelli previsionali e memoria, normativa e realtà territoriale, fruizione e rispetto delle aree perifluvialiResearch and Land Planning for the Mitigation of Hydraulic Risks: the Historical, Geographical and Archaeological Investigation This paper shows the methodological layout which drove the transdisciplinary investigation jointly performed by The University of Verona and Veneto Regional Administration for the preliminary design of the works to be implemented on the water basin which followed the Plan for hydraulic and geological risk mitigating actions and interventions, set down in the aftermath of the 2010 flood. The geographical interpretation of the evolution of this territory, and especially of the man/environment relationship that can be seen through the years in relation to the river regions, becomes the place for a possible encounter between forecasting models and memory, rules and territory, use and regard for areas around rivers
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
