    Hotels as a part of the hospitality industry try to create an attractive image to differentiate themselves from others. This is important in luring travelers which will directly affect the development of the hotel itself. This can be achieved only through the efforts of all elements of the hotel which are divided into several departments. The front office department, especially, should have good cooperation among its staffs because the front office has most direct contact with the guests. The receptionist as a part of the front office department has a large responsibility as a representative of the hotel which should create a good image. This paper sets out to describe the job scope of a receptionist at Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel, Surakarta based on the job training undergone by the author. The receptionist plays important role in handling the guests’ needs. To give the best service, a receptionist must have good knowledge about all sectors in the hotel and also the information external to the hotel related to the guests’ needs. It is also supported by good and professional grooming based on appropriate hotel standards. From the data, one conclusion that can be drawn from this study is that the job description of a receptionist in Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel includes various aspects. The receptionists of Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel have a large responsibility to know the job scope and do it to the best of their ability in order to build an attractive image of the hotel

    ABSTRACT   Based on case studies that researchers do in the Prodi DIII Midwifery Stikes Kusuma Husada Surakarta student achievement in all courses for the academic year 2010/2011 there are still many who have not graduated and do remidiasi in students who score less than the limit of graduation. Independence of learning are indispensable for the success of learning process, as well as the utilization of learning resources on campus are very supportive of students to achieve good performance. This becomes an evaluation for faculty to find the cause. This study aims to analyze the relationship utilization of learning resources and independence of learning with learning achievement in Prodi D III Midwifery Kusuma Husada Surakarta. This research is a quantitative analytical approach crossectional. Implementation research in Prodi D III Midwifery Kusuma Husada Surakarta. Sample of 140 female students who used the technique random disproportionate stratified sampling. The instrument used is the questionnaire. Analysis of data using corelasi product moment and multiple linear regression. The results of multiple linear regression in getting that student learning achievement Prodi DIII Midwifery Kusuma Husada Surakarta 40.8% influenced by the utilization of learning resources and learning independence, while the rest is influenced by other factors.. That there is a relationship utilization of learning resources and independence of learning with student learning achievement. Suggestions for institutional independence is expected to instill character study at universities in the scope of Prodi D III Midwifery kusuma Husada Surakarta

This research was conducted To find out and analyze: Rights and Obligations of each party in the Towering Contract (Construction Contract) of Tower II Building, Universitas Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya, the form of the responsibilities of each party in the contracting contract (Construction Contract) Tower II Building, Universitas Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya, if one party makes a mistake. From the results of the analysis conducted in this study, the researcher states that: Rights and obligations must be carried out by each party as stated in the work implementation agreement as contained in Attachment to the work implementation agreement Number: 597/WK/XII/2017, as stated in Article 3 of the agreement when referred to as a second party's obligation it means the right of the first party, among others, to carry out the work carefully, accurate and complete responsibility by providing experts and other personnel, materials, equipment needed for the implementation of the work.     Abstrak Wijaya Kusuma adalah nama bunga yang biasanya hanya mekar dimalam hari , karya ini memadukan antara realita Wijaya Kusuma sebagai bunga dengan Wijaya Kusuma sebagai bunga dewata dalam cerita Bomantaka pada Mahabharata yang menjadi penyebab terbunuhnya Sang Bhoma oleh Sri Krisna, hal itu menjadi sumber ide penciptaan karya lukisan. Ditampilkan dengan simbol pertempuran kebaikan dengan kejahatan yang sama-sama berwujud raksasa besar dalam pertempuran yang dasyat, kekerasan itu disandingkan dengan kelembutan obyek bunga Wijaya Kusuma yang menjadi vocal point sehingga menjadi daya tarik karya ini.     Minat baca adalah dorongan dari dalam diri seseorang atau faktor yang menimbulkan ketertarikan atau perhatian secara selektif yang menyebabkan dipilihnya suatu objek atau kegiatan yang menguntungkan, menyenangkan atau mendatangkan kepuasan. Minat baca meliputi keterampilan membaca, intensitas membaca, perhatian, merasakan kenikmatan membaca dan menemukan manfaat membaca. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan minat baca dengan prestasi belajar mata kuliah asuhan kebidanan II pada mahasiswa semester III Program studi diploma III Kebidanan STIKes Kusuma Husada Surakarta tahun akademik 2016/2017. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Penelitian dilakukan di Program studi (Prodi) DIII Kebidanan STIKes Kusuma Husada Surakarta menggunakan kuesioner kepada 50 mahasiswi. Untuk mengukur minat baca digunakan kuesioner sikap minat baca telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitas, sedangkan prestasi belajar diukur dengan nilai absolute dari indeks prestasi (IP) untuk mata kuliah asuhan kebidanan II. Kemudian data dianalisis dengan rumus korelasi Spearman Rank. Hasil dari penelitian didapatkan nilai p = 0,000 dengan kekuatan hubungan tinggi (0,860) yang berarti Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara minat baca dengan prestasi belajar mata kuliah asuhan kebidanan II pada mahasiswi semester III Prodi DIII Kebidanan STIKes Kusuma Husada Surakarta tahun akademik 2016/2017. Reading interest is an internal motivation or factor which caused or selective attention which caused an object or a profitable activity choosen, fun on brings satisfaction reading interest consist of reading skill, reading intensity, attention, feel enjoy and find the use of reading. The aim of the reseach is to know the relationship between reading interest with learning achievement in midwifery care II courses of student semester III diploma III midwifery courses of STIKes Kusuma Husada Surakarta for academic year 2016/2017. The research methods used analitic observational with cross sectional approach. The research is done in diploma III midwifery courses of STIKes Kusuma Husada Surakarta by using 50 questioners to students.To measure reading interest used attitude of reading questioner which is tested its validity and reliability. While learning achievement tested by absolute value from grade point for midwifery care II courses. Then datais analyzed with spearman rank correlation formula.The result of the research got P value = 0,000 with high correlation (0,860) that means Ha be accepted and Ho rejected. Based on those result can be summed of that there are significant correlation between.     ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pemanfaatan sumber belajar dan motivasi dengan prestasi belajar mata kuliah Asuhan Kebidanan II mahasiswa Program Studi D III Kebidanan STIKes Kusuma Husada Surakarta. Metode penelitian adalah metode observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa tingkat 2 semester 4 di STIKes Kusuma Husada Surakarta Prodi D III Kebidanan . Total populasi adalah 114 mahasiswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis variansi (ANOVA = analysis of variance). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan positif yang signiÞ kan antara pemanfaatan sumber belajar dengan prestasi belajar mata kuliah Asuhan kebidanan II ( FOBS = 3,573 , p = 0,032 < 0,05 ). Ada hubungan positif yang signiÞ kan antara motivasi dengan prestasi belajar Asuhan Kebidanan II ( FOBS = 10,639 , p = 0,002 <0,01 ).     ABSTRAK   Berhasil atau tidaknya pencapaian tujuan belajar tergantung pada proses belajar yang dialami. Banyaknya mahasiswa yang mempunyai kebiasaan belajar kurang sehingga prestasi yang didapat tidak sesuai yang diharapkan. Dukungan sosial diharapkan membantu mereka dalam menjalani proses pembelajaran dan dijadikan semangat untuk mendapatkan prestasi yang diharapkan. Tujuan penelitian : 1) Menganalisa hubungan kebiasaan belajar dengan prestasi belajar mahasiswa. 2) Menganalisa hubungan dukungan sosial dengan prestasi belajar mahasiswa. 3) Menganalisa keeratan hubungan kebiasaan belajar dan dukungan sosial dengan prestasi belajar mahasiswa Prodi DIII Kebidanan STIKes Kusuma Husada  Surakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi corelation dengan rancangan crossectional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa DIII Kebidanan dengan jumlah mahasiswa 491 orang. Tehnik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara Propotionate stratified random sampling. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 83 orang. Hasil penelitian dianalisa melalui uji korelasi product moment dan analisis regresi linier ganda.. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa: 1). Ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kebiasaan belajar dengan prestasi belajar mahasiswa dengan nilai sig. (0,004) ) (p ≤ 0,05) dan koefisien korelasi (r hitung) 0,316. 2). Ada hubungan yang signifikan antara dukungan sosial dengan prestasi belajar mahasiswa nilai sig. (0,004) ) (p ≤ 0,05) dan koefisien korelasi (r hitung) 0,311. 3). Hasil uji regresi linier berganda diperoleh nilai F hitung sebesar 6.686 dengan probabilitas sebesar 0,002 ) (p ≤ 0,05) artinya ada hubungan signifikan secara bersama-sama antara faktor-faktor (kebiasaan belajar dan dukungan sosial) dengan prestasi belajar mahasiswa DIII kebidanan di STIKes Kusuma Husada Surakarta. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kebiasaan belajar dan dukungan sosial dengan prestasi belajar mahasiswa Prodi DIII Kebidanan STIKes Kusuma Husada Surakarta. ABSTRACT   The success of learning objective achievement depends on the learning process experienced. Many students have inadequate learning habit so the achievement they obtain is not as expected. Social support is expected to help them in undertaking learning process and become the spirit to get the expected achievement. The objective: 1) to analyze the relationship of learning habit and social support to the student learning achievement, 2) to analyze the relationship between social support and student learning achievement, 3) to analyze the strong relationship of learning habit and social support to the student learning achievement in DIII Midwifery Study Program of STIKes Kusuma Husada Surakarta. This study employed a correlational study with cross-sectional design. The population of research was all DIII Midwifery students consisting of 491 students. The sampling technique used was Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. The sample of research consisted of 83 students. The result of research was analyzed using product moment correlational test and multiple linear regression analysis. The result obtained showed that: 1) there was a significant relationship between learning habit and the student learning achievement with significance value (0.004) ) (p ≤ 0.05) and correlation coefficient (r statistic) of 0.316. 2). There was a significant relationship between social support and the student learning achievement with significance value (0.004) ) (p ≤ 0.05) and correlation coefficient (r statistic) of 0.311. 3) The result of multiple linear regression test showed F statistic value of 6.686 with probability of 0.002) (p ≤ 0.05) meaning that there was a simultaneously relationship of learning habit and social support to the student learning achievement in DIII Midwifery Study Program of STIKes Kusuma Husada Surakarta. Based on the result of research, it could be concluded that there was a significant relationship of learning habit and social support to the student learning achievement in DIII Midwifery Study Program of STIKes Kusuma Husada Surakarta

    This final project explains about the strategies of Public Relation Officer in building the good image. The activities of Public Relation in building and maintaining good relationship between internal and external public is important to build the positive image. This report is to identify the job and the strategies of Public Relation Officer. There were two types of data collecting methods used in this final project. They were observation and library study. The collected data gave detail information related to job description and strategies of Public Relation Officer in Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel Solo. Based on the observation done during the job training in Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel Solo, a Public Relation Officer must make good relationship between internal and external public to make positive image with it strategies. The discussion analyses the issues related to those strategies. The Job description and the strategies of the cases are identified. The job description of Public Relation officer in Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel is suitable with the theory of Cutlip and Broom, 1999:9, which are publicity, advertising, press a gentry, public affairs, issues management, lobbying, investor relations, development. And the responsibility of Public Relation Officer in Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel are successfully done, such as dealing with guest and general public’s complaints and inquires positively and promptly under the guidance of Sales and Marketing Manager. One of indicators of Success is Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel customer satisfaction increases almost at maximum level. The writer gives some suggestions to the Public Relation Officer to finish the “warta wigati” on time and maintenance the Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel website

    Incidence of Traumatic Stomatitis with Intensity of Fixed Orthodontic Patient Control in Students of the Faculty of Medicine, Wijaya Kusuma University Surabaya

    Background. Traumatic stomatitis is inflammation of the oral mucosa caused by the use of orthodontic appliances, it can be due to discomfort when using orthodontic appliances, allergies to orthodontic appliance materials, pinched or punctured oral mucosa.Method. The design of this research is a cross sectional and analytic observation. With the population and sample of this study, students of the Faculty of Medicine, Wijaya Kusuma University, Surabaya who performed fixed orthodontic treatment in the period May-June 2022.Conclusion. The data analysis used in this study was Fisher's exact test. The results showed that there was significant relationship between the intensity of control and the incidence of traumatic stomatitis in fixed orthodontic users at the Faculty of Medicine, Wijaya Kusuma University, Surabaya. The intensity of routine control can add information about how to maintain oral hygiene, as well as the use of oral hygiene aids that may help prevent traumatic stomatitis
