    PENENTUAN SUHU NOL MUTLAK MELALUI PRAKTIKUM TERMODINAMIKA MENGGUNAKAN HUKUM CHARLES

    Praktikum Hukum Charles dirancang untuk mendapatkan nilai suhu nol mutlak yang menjadi konstanta fundamental di Termodinamika. Hukum Charles menyatakan bahwa pada tekanan tetap dan ruang tertutup, volume gas ideal berbanding lurus terhadap suhu mutlaknya. Hasil praktikum hukum Charles dengan mengunakan metode kuadrat terkecil, menunjukkan bahwa grafik volume terhadap suhu memiliki nilai koefisien determinasi rata-rata (R2) = 0,9986, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa volume dan suhu memiliki hubungan linier yang tinggi. Nilai suhu nol mutlak terbaik diperoleh sebesar -273,45 0C, sedangkan nilai suhu nol mutlak rata-rata diperoleh sebesar -275,90 0C dengan ketidakpastian relatif kurang dari 2 %. Thermodynamics is one of the basic concepts that must be mastered by engineering students at Politeknik Negeri Bandung, because it’s used to recognize how industrial engineering tools work. Laboratory activities can help students to understand a difficult thermodynamic concept. The purpose of this study was to design and optimize a Charles’s Law experiment device. Charles's Law experiment was designed to determine absolute zero temperature as a fundamental constant in thermodynamics. The experiment results show average of determination coefficient (R2) = 0,9986 on the V-T graph, it’s shows that the volume and temperature have a high linear relationship. The best absolute zero temperature was obtained at -273,450 C, while the average absolute zero temperature was obtained at -275,900 C with relative error of less than 2%

    Penelitian ini sebagai studi awal untuk mengetahui pengaruh temperatur fluida terhadap karakteristik aliran (laminar, transisi atau turbulen) dengan melihat perubahan tekanan, laju aliran dan bilangan Reynold pada belokan pipa. Aliran fluida (air) disimulasikan dengan software Ansys Fluent, kemudian didapatkan data perubahan tekanan, laju dan bilangan Reynold sepanjang pipa dengan belokan pipa 900. Hasil analisis data simulasi menunjukan bahwa setelah melewati belokan pipa 900, fluida dengan temperatur berbeda akan memiliki karakteristik aliran yang berbeda.Â

    The Effect of Capacitance on the Power Factor Value of Parallel RLC Circuits

    The power factor of the circuit is determined by the amount of pure resistance (R), self-inductance of the coil (L) and the capacitance of the capacitor (C). In this study, the measurement of the power factor value in a parallel RLC circuit was carried out through experimental testing and simulation with the value of C as the independent variable, while the values of R and L were fixed conditioned quantities. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of capacitance on a parallel RLC circuit. One of the ways to improve the power factor value in a circuit is to install capacitive compensation using a capacitor. The relation between the power factor value and the capacitance and inductive reactance based on the experimental results and the simulation calculation results in the parallel RLC circuit both shows the same pattern with a relative uncertainty below 8%. The experimental results and simulation results both show that the power factor can be improved by using a right capacitance which is around the capacitance value when there is resonance in the circuit

    The Power Factor Improvement Modelling with the Runge-Kutta 4th Order, Analytical, and Experimental Method

    The Power factor improvement modeling is conducted by modeling electrical circuits that have a low power factor, then the power factor will be improved by pairing capacitors in series and in parallel. The capacitance values of the connected capacitors are varied for maximum power factor value. The power factor improvement modeling was analyzed using the Runge-Kutta 4th Order (RK-4) method and the analytical calculations were then compared with the experimental method. The study shows the relationship between the value of the power factor to the capacitance value and the relationship between active power, apparent power, and reactive power to the capacitance value of capacitors installed in series or parallel in the circuit. The results of calculations using the RK-4 method, analytical methods and experimental data show the same pattern, with a relative error below 8%. The results of the analysis show that the parallel installation of capacitors is the most appropriate power factor improvement model

    Preliminary Study of Risk Management Policy in Higher Education: A Case Study

    This study examines the risk management process that aims to describe the implementation of risk management policy determined by management and identify the levels of risk in two different service units at Politeknik Negeri Bandung; they are the Library and Language Center. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data processing related to risk impacts is carried out based on ISO 310000:2018 concerning Risk Management Standards. The results of this study found that there were 30 threats/risks found in the library unit. Prior to treatment, the risks (inherent risks) with a very high level was 4, a high level was 3, a medium level was 9, a low was 12, and a very low was 2. However, after treatment (residual risks), there was a decrease so that the risk with a high level was 1, a medium level was 6, a low level was 7, and a very low level was 16. On the other hand, 22 treats were found in the Language Centre unit. Before the treatment, the inherent risks with a low-level was10 and a very low level was 12. Conversely, after the treatment, the number of low-level risks becomes 10 and the number of very low-level risks becomes 20. It indicated that Politeknik Negeri Bandung through the Library and Language Center has successfully implemented risk management based on ISO 31000:2018. This can be seen from the decrease in the risk levels of each threat found in both units after risk treatment is carried out. In this case, the number of threats with very high, high, and medium risk levels changes to low and very low risk levels

    POS PAUD is one of the non-formal educational institutions that plays an important role in children's education. All learning activities in PAUD and the supporting facilities must meet the standards according to the provisions of PAUD Education. To find out the achievement of these standards accreditation activities are needed, because one of the efforts to maintain the quality and improvement of an educational institution is through accreditation activities. POS PAUD Melati 10 and Kenanga 12 are located in Kelurahan Pasir Kaliki Kecamatan Cimahi Utara are PAUD institutions that have not been accredited. In order for POS PAUD to be accredited properly, it must meet the accreditation eligibility criteria based on the National Education Standards which include eight standards.. The methods used in the preparation of the two POS PAUD accreditations are literature study, interviews, field surveys, discussions, technical guidance for preparation of accreditation standard documents in the form of workshops for school principals, teachers and operators. Through this accreditation preparation assistance activity, it has succeeded in bringing POS PAUD Melati 10 to meet the accredited criteria and POS Kenanga 12 PAUD with additional time being ready for accreditation

    The law that discusses property matters in legal science is called inheritance law. Provisions regarding Inheritance Law in Indonesia are regulated in Islamic Inheritance Law, Customary Inheritance Law, and Dutch Inheritance Law (Inheritance Law of the Civil Code). In terms of regions in Indonesia and the diversity of culture, religion and customs in the kinship system in each region, it influences the application of Inheritance Law in Indonesia. However, problems often arise between the laws that apply in religion and the implementation of local regional customs. The author discusses the application of Islamic Inheritance law in Indonesia. Settlement of inheritance through peace is a good instrument for maintaining the integrity of family relationships, in addition to avoiding or resolving disputes, feuds, even enmity. So that harmony and kinship or kinship community will be maintained in society. In this research, the author used a qualitative descriptive approach. Qualitative descriptive research. The research method is also combined with literature research methods. In this research the method is access to standard law or related books, and apart from human rights books which are important for the discussion of this article, information from research journals. on this topic and research from websites associated with this title. The nature of the study is still temporary, it is possible that there are still studies that will continue to be updated to make them even better
