MYSTIFICATIONS AND GAMES – ABOUT IDENTITY DISCOURSE IN MODERN BULGARIAN PROSE (ALEK POPOV)
The object of the analysis are short prose works written by Bulgarian author Alek Popov.
The manners of the defining of an identity of a modern person – taking into consideration
a psychological, sociological and anthropological context – are conceptual. A concept of the
identity has become a pretext for the description of chosen elements of the world introduced
in Popov’s prose – such as space-time and creation of heroes
Managing Social Value in Real Estate: Towards an integrated social value definition, measurement and quantification in the built environment industry
Today’s world is faced with climate emergencies and social disruptions, which means that decreasing negative results and delivering positive impact to the planet and society is necessary to support our future. With a rising demand for strategies that go beyond traditional investing, and the world approaching a new age of sustainable economies, impact measurement frameworks are a key tool in accelerating the transition.Measuring, reporting and managing social impact is crucial in order to grasp the implications of investments, but data is often fragmented, inconsistent, difficult to find and hard to quantify. In addition, the reporting landscape is becoming increasingly complex as a plethora of overlapping or competing frameworks, indicators and measurement methodologies are emerging. Meanwhile, a sharp common approach as well as greater use of existing frameworks would be more valuable than proliferation of ever more new assessment tools. This research will seek to understand how social value is defined and measured in the real estate industry. A particular focus will be placed on how integrating social value can strengthen an organisation’s business model while delivering positive societal impact. The research will also propose ways to integrate social value in decision-making processes. In order to do so, two tools - a roadmap and checklist, both deeply rooted in theory and practice findings - will be established.Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences | Management in the Built Environmen
PENCIPTAAN FILM DOKUMENTER “BADABUIH” DALAM ACARA ALEK NAGARI DI PADANG PARIAMAN
The creation of the documentary film "Badabuih" is one of the films that aims to introduce the culture of the Padang Pariman region, especially the dabuih tradition in the nagari language. Documentary film is a type of film that deals with people, characters, events, or events. In this documentary "Badabuih" the author tries to see how the representation of the dabuih procession in Islamic culture in Padang Pariaman. In the process of creating the documentary film "Badabuih" the film is packaged into a series of plots in a linear manner with an approach to story and image elements with a chronological narrative structure. Listening further about the depiction or representation, many things are actually alluded to by other signs or symbols with a specific purpose. The events that occur in "Badabuih" then have a meaning between divine values and social values. These values then merge into a culture which then becomes entertainment. This film also explains how the view of dabuih that develops in the community as a means of giving thanks to Allah SWT..Keywords: Documentary Film; Badabuih; Representation; Padang PariamanABSTRAKPenciptaan film dokumenter “Badabuih” merupakan salah satu film yang bertujuan memperkenalkan kebudayaan daerah Padang Pariman khususnya tradisi dabuih dalam alek nagari.

Light-driven modulation of proximity-enhanced functionalities in hybrid nano-scale systems
Advancing quantum information and communication technology requires smaller and faster components with actively controllable functionalities. This work presents an all-optical strategy for dynamically modulating magnetic properties via proximity effects controlled by light. We demonstrate this concept using hybrid nanoscale systems composed of C60 molecules proximitized to a cobalt metallic ferromagnetic surface, where proximity interactions are particularly strong. Our findings show that by inducing excitons in the C60 molecules with resonant ultrashort light pulses, we can significantly modify the interaction at the Cobalt/C60 interface, leading to a remarkable 60% transient shift in the frequency of the Co dipolar ferromagnetic resonance mode. This effect, detected via a specifically designed time-resolved Magneto-Optical Kerr Effect (tr-MOKE) experiment, persists on a timescale of hundreds of picoseconds. Since this frequency shift directly correlates with a transient change in the anisotropy field—an essential parameter for technological applications—our findings establish a new material platform for ultrafast optical control of magnetism at the nanoscale
Future Waste Scenarios for Sweden based on a CGE-model
Over the last decades, waste quantities have grown steadily in close relation to economic growth. To tackle the problem of continuing waste growth within the EU, waste prevention was listed among four top priorities in the EU Sixth environment Action Programme. A Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) model is here used for projecting future quantities of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in Sweden to 2030. The effects of driving forces behind waste generation are illustrated by comparing the results of waste projections for a Baseline scenario and four alternative scenarios. The scenarios differ mainly in GDP growth rates and in the assumptions about future waste intensities of the economic activities of firms and households. We use a high-resolution data set on waste flows of 18 various types of non-hazardous waste and 16 various types of hazardous waste attributed to six waste-generating sources for the base year 2006. Waste generated in the scenarios, thus, relate to firms’ material input, output, employees, capital scrapping and fuel combustion as well as households’ consumption. The impact of economic growth in increasing the generation of nonhazardous and hazardous waste is apparent when comparing the growth of waste from 2006 to 2030 in the five scenarios. On the contrary, technological change resulting in less waste intensive production processes and changed behaviour among households, making their activities less waste intensive, have a strong reducing effect, especially on generation of non-hazardous waste relating to firms’ material input.general equilibrium model; waste generation; decoupling; waste intensities waste scenarios.
Interpreting Wage Bargaining Norms
From the mid-1990s onwards, Swedish wage bargaining has been characterised by informal co-ordination of the wage claims of big unions and bargaining cartels. In particular, it has been understood that the manufacturing sector should lead by first agreeing on a pay increase, whereafter the service sector and public sector unions choose a similar increase. We analyse his setup with two possible theoretical interpretations: (i) the manufacturing sector as a tackelberg leader and (ii) a normative role for the manufacturing sector’s pay increase, upported either by unmodelled social pressure or a modeled loss aversion (envy) of the heltered sector unions. The conclusion of the analysis is that the normative or leading role of one sector – in the Swedish case the manufacturing sector – can potentially bring big benefits for employment and output. Generalising an idea suggested by Lars Calmfors and Anna Larsson, our analysis also generates a rudimentary theory of why the wage increase norm sometimes binds and sometimes not. A comparison of the model predictions and the observed outcomes of the last five wage bargaining rounds in Sweden suggests that the model is generally consistent with the empirical observations: wage moderation and norm observance are stronger when the manufacturing industry’s initial relative wage is low.wage bargaining; bargaining co-ordination
