Dynamika procesu demokratyzacji Węgier : próba określenia zjawiska w świetle teorii
The article attempts to analyze democratization processes in Hungary from 1989 to thepresent. From methodological and theoretical perspectives the author goes to theories that determinewhat democratization is, as well as what the phenomena related to this process are. Next,the author gives an account of actual course of political transformations in Hungary with regardto the selected elements that comprise a contemporary notion of democratization process, thatis the development of political society, the shaping of civil society, the issue of civil rights, theconstitution of Hungary as well as acceptation and character of political conflicts

The article presents an analysis of the early stage of contemporary
political parties structure in four Central European countries: Czech Republic,
Hungary, Poland and Slovakia and their contemporary dimension. Author tries
to compare diff erent parties presenting their specifi c and common qualities. Th e
analysis includes more than two decades since the beginning of democratic transformation
in Central Europe
Multidimensional and Multistage Character of the Democratization Process
The following article is devoted to an analysis of the theory of the democratization process. First, the author approaches democratization in terms of a political change. Next, he provides definitions related to the subject. The multidimensional character of democratization is connected to not only political, but also axiological and behavioral aspects of this process.This stance is reflected further in the article. The multistage character of democratization is related to the existence of stages of erosion of a regime, transition and consolidation of democracy

The article presents the phenomenon of the birth, development and contemporary
position of Fidesz-MPS on Hungarian political scene. Author aims at explaining
the role of social support for the main rightist party in Hungary in the struggle
for power and then its consolidation and retaining. Although there is criticism
abroad and inside Hungary towards steps taken by Viktor Orbán, elections confirm
the leading role of Fidesz-MPS and high electoral support
Evolution of Preferences at Hungarian Electorate towards Bidimensional Left Right Structure (1990 to 2013)
The article presents Hungarian electorate\u27s preferences in the time of transition and democratic consolidation beginning in 1990. The preferences are confrontated with results of parliamentary elections held in 1990, 1994, 1998, 2002, 2006 and 2010. Author tries to show how the left and right preference division developed on the basis of socioeconomic cleavages. The evolution of Hungarian electorate preferences has moved toward bidimensional "left - ri- ght" structure since the elections in 1998, yet first symptoms appeared in 1994 when post-socialis party MSzP won the elections. Since then only this party and rightist Fidesz were able to succeed and create Hungarian governments
Kształtowanie się polityki zagranicznej Węgier w regionie Europy Środkowej : od 1989 do 2014 r. Wybrane aspekty
The article presents the basic determinants of Hungarian foreign policy in reference to
the region of Central and Eastern Europe over the last quarter of a century. The author discusses
the country’s relations with its neighbouring countries, as well as the two largest political entities
in the region, namely Russia and Germany. The political analysis is supplemented with an
overview of economic and commercial exchange carried out by Hungary with other countries in
the region. Hungary’s activities on the international scene are also presented in relation to group
cooperation: the Visegrad Group, Central European Initiative, EU policy on the Eastern Partnership.
Moreover, the author analyses independent steps Hungary has taken in Central and Eastern
Europe in terms of its relations with the Balkan countries. The article ends with a presentation of
the Hungarian position regarding the sphere of security policy as an expression of the country’s
focus on securing their own interests, which may cause conflict with the interests of regional
organizations that have Hungary among their members

The article describes the problem of democracy in Japan as an external political system introduced after the end of World War II. The author tries to explore how deeply democratic values were rooted in Japanese society in the first decade after the war. The key objective of this article is to analyse how Japanese democratic values functioned at that time, how they influenced political attitudes and if they were coherent. There are three basic dimensions of the author’s considerations: axiological, normative and institutional. To achieve this, the author describes democratic values, internal elements of Japanese political culture and the democratisation process as a single complex process.Artykuł poświęcony jest zagadnieniu wprowadzania zasad reżimu demokratycznego do życia politycznego Japonii po zakończeniu II wojny światowej. Zamierzeniem autora była próba określenia sposobu i poziomu zakorzeniania się wartości demokratycznych w świadomości społeczeństwa japońskiego. Dlatego też autor stara się określić wpływ wartości demokratycznych na postawy społeczne Japończyków w omawianym okresie czasu. W tym celu zostaje dokonana analiza kilku kluczowych dla zrozumienia problemu płaszczyzn: aksjologicznej, normatywnej i instytucjonalnej. Autor ukazuje także wpływ wewnętrznych postaw społecznych w Japonii manifestowanych w zakresie kultury politycznej na konwersję zasad i wartości demokracji i proces demokratyzacji

This article presents the development of opposition movements in five countries in our
region: Hungary, GDR, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia. The events and their analysis include the
period from the end of the Second World War and socialistic form of governance implementation
to the times of great political and social breakdown in 1989/1990.
