Materials for Schevchenko studies in letters to Mykhailo Komarov
No full textThe aim of the work. The research is connected with the analysis of epistolaries stored in the archive of M. Komarov of the Department of Rare Publications and Manuscripts of the Odesa National Scientific Library. The purpose of the work is to find out the value of these letters for Shevchenko studies, identify the main topics related to the figure of Taras Shevchenko and figures who wrote to Mykhailo Komarov on similar topics and find the place of the figure in preserving the memory and honouring Kobzar. The methodology is based on the principles of historicism, objectivity, as well as on general historical methods – chronological, retrospective, problem-thematic and statistical-analytical. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the review of Shevchenko’s plots contained in unpublished letters to M. Komarov. It is determined which of the materials are of scientific value and can be involved in further research. The circle of people who wrote to M. Komarov on the Shevchenko studies topics and for what purpose was found out. The facts that testify the leading role of M. Komarov in the development of Shevchenko studies of the late 19th – early 20th century are noted. Conclusions. In the letters sent to M. Komarov kept to this day there are many different facts that are directly or indirectly related to Shevchenko studies. They are most valuable for the history of honoring the figure of Taras Shevchenko in different regions of Ukraine and St. Petersburg, as well as for the history of compiling a bibliography of Taras Shevchenko. The letters somewhat supplement the information about the publication of Kobzar`s works. Facts from the life of Kobzar, which at the time of writing the letters were little known, are now well known in Shevchenko studies. An important aspect of letters to Mykhailo Komarov is the recognition by contemporaries of his importance in the formation and accumulation of knowledge about the outstanding poet, for example, in letters from V. Leontovych, Ye. Chykalenko, or I. Belousov, which was sent to M. Komarov by B. Grinchenko.Мета роботи. Дослідження пов’язане з аналізом епістоляріїв, що зберігаються в архіві М. Комарова
у Відділі рідкісних видань і рукописів Одеської національної наукової бібліотеки. Метою роботи є з’ясування
цінності цих листів для шевченкознавства, визначення основних тем, що стосуються постаті Т. Шевченка, кола діячів, які писали до Михайла Комарова на подібну тематику, та місця самого М. Комарова у збереженні пам’яті та вшануванні Кобзаря. Методологія дослідження базується на принципах історизму,
об’єктивності, а також на загальноісторичних методах – хронологічному, ретроспективному, проблемно-
тематичному та статистично-аналітичному. Наукова новизна роботи полягає у здійсненні огляду шевченкознавчих сюжетів, присутніх у неопублікованих листах до М. Комарова. Визначено, які з матеріалів становлять наукову цінність та можуть залучатися до подальших досліджень. З’ясовано коло осіб, які писали до
одеського діяча на шевченківську тематику та з якою метою. Відзначено факти, що свідчать про провідну
роль М. Комарова в розвитку шевченкознавчих студій кінця ХІХ – початку ХХ ст. Висновки. У збережених
до сьогодні листах, надісланих до М. Комарова, наведено багато різноманітних фактів, які прямо чи опо-
середковано пов’язані із шевченкознавством. Найбільшу цінність вони становлять для історії вшануван-
ня постаті Т. Шевченка в різних регіонах України та Санкт-Петербурзі, також – для історії складання бібліо-
графії Т. Шевченка. Листи певною мірою доповнюють відомості про видання творів Кобзаря. Факти з життя
видатного поета, які на момент написання листів були маловідомими, сьогодні вже є добре сприйнятими в
шевченкознавчих студіях. Важливим аспектом листів до Михайла Комарова є визнання сучасниками його
значення у формуванні й накопиченні знань про Кобзаря, про що зустрічаються згадки в листах від Ц. Білиловського, В. Леонтовича, Є. Чикаленка та інших, а Б. Грінченко навіть спрямовував зацікавлених, як у ви-

Theme “Man and Nature” in the Poetry of Peter Komarov
No full textThe author’s elaboration of the content and poetics of landscape and natural history lyrics of the Far Eastern poet, winner of the Stalin Prize of the third degree P. S. Komarov (1911—1949) is presented. The novelty of the research lies in the fact that the poet’s work has practically not been studied. The relevance of the study is due to the attention of modern literary criticism to the problems of the literary process of the Soviet period, as well as interest in literary and regional studies. The idea is substantiated that the theme “man and nature” was central in the poetry of P. S. Komarov. It is noted that the dominant principle in the disclosure of this topic were the ideas of all-unity and participation. The question is raised about the nature of the reflection of the ideas of the era in the lyrics: in particular, the points of intersection of the poetic perception of the world in the poems of the “Green Belt” cycle with the ideas of Russian cosmism are revealed. Observations on the specifics of the poetics of Komarov’s landscape lyrics were carried out: the form of the landscape-ecphrasis, the artistic functions of the landscape detail, color painting, toponymy, panoramic image were revealed; some images-motives (nature-garden, nature-book; motive of the brotherhood of the memory of the earth) is revealed. The unique materials of literary criticism of the second half of the 1940s, associated with the assessment of Komarov’s work are presented in the article

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
No full textThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

No full textThe lichen genus Rinodina in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is revised on the basis of extensive materials collected by the authors in 1974–2022. Twenty-four species of this genus have been recorded for the lichen biota of Yakutia. Eight species are recorded for the first time: Rinodina cinereovirens, R. confragosa, R. conradii, R. intermedia, R. interpolata, R. metaboliza, R. orculata, R. trevisanii. Five previously reported species were not found: Rinodina archaea, R. exigua, R. exiguella, R. milvina, R. sophodes. A key for identification of Rinodina known in Yakutia is given. For each species, characteristic features, differences from closely related species, and distribution in Russia and the world are discussed. © (2023), (Komarov Botanical Institute). First annotated checklist of Chironomidae of Rhodos, Greece (Insecta, Diptera)
No full textChironomid fauna of Greek Aegean islands, an essential part of the biogeographically
important Mediterranean region, is almost unexplored, with only 36
species recorded prior to the present study. It is especially true for Dodecanese
islands (6 recorded species). In 2007, chironomid larvae and exuviae were collected
in Rhodos, the largest member of the Dodecanese islands. Thirty-four taxa were
identified (8 Tanypodinae, 10 Orthocladiinae, 16 Chironominae). None of the previously
recorded taxa were found; thus all collected species proved to be new for
the fauna of Rhodos. An actualized checklist for the Chironomidae of Rhodos is
given based on the literature and results of recent investigations
