Validation tool for anchor analysis software
Get PDFAutor se v této diplomové práci zabývá problematikou návrhu dodatečného kotvení. Konkrétně se jedná o výpočetní software pro návrh dodatečného kotvení. Autor bude detailně zkoumat dopad jednotlivých vstupních parametrů na celkové zatížení/využití navrhovaného kotvení a vybere nejkritičtější kombinace vstupních parametrů. Autor následně vytvoří výpočetní šablonu pro ověření únosnosti kotvení (dle EN 1992-4: 2018), která bude poté využívána pro ověření správnosti implementace nových kotevních prvků výrobce. Autor nejdříve provede zkoušku funkčnosti vytvořené výpočetní šablony na již zavedeném prvku a následně pomocí již ozkoušené výpočetní šablony ověří nově implementovaný prvek. Při ověření prvku budou využity nejkritičtější kombinace vstupních parametrů vybrané v první části práce.In this thesis, the author deals with the issue of design of post-installed anchoring. Specifically, deals with the analysis software for additional anchor design. The author will examine in detail the impact of individual input parameters on the overall anchor stress/utilization of the proposed anchor and will select the most critical combinations of input parameters. The author then creates a calculation template to verify the anchor capacity (according to EN 1992-4: 2018), which will be used to verify the implementation of the new anchor elements of the manufacturer. The author first performs a functional check of the created calculation template on the already introduced anchor element and then by using the already tested calculation template verifies the newly implemented anchor element. For verifying this anchor element, the most critical combinations of input parameters selected in the first part of the work will be used
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. No full textDiplomová práce nabízí návrh tréninku (jaké prvky zařazovat či způsob vedení tréninku) techniky klasického tance pro tanečníky lyrického tance a tanečního sportu. Poukazuje na důležitost ovládnutí alespoň základů techniky klasického tance u tanečníků těchto tanečních stylů. Zároveň zdůrazňuje důležitost individuálního přístupu ve výuce techniky klasického tance tanečníků různých tanečních stylů. Práce stručně popisuje a charakterizuje vybrané taneční styly (klasický tanec, lyrický tanec a taneční sport), poukazuje na jejich podobnosti a shody v technickém provedení. Podobné či dokonce shodné principy a prvky z techniky klasického tance, které se objevují v lyrickém tanci nebo tanečním sportu, jsou definovány na základě mnohaletého pozorování a výuky těchto tanečníků, rozhovorů a analýzy odpovědí získaných od referenční skupiny respondentů splňující předem definovaná kritéria. Použité metody výzkumu v této práci jsou rešerše dostupné související literatury, pozorování a polostrukturované rozhovory s tanečníky. Pomocí těchto metod práce definuje podobnosti i shody v konkrétních tanečních stylech a stává se návodem pro sestavení struktury tréninku techniky klasického tance pro tanečníky lyrického tance a tanečního sportu.This diploma thesis offers a demonstration of training (what elements to include or the way of teaching) of the technique of classical dance for lyrical dancers and dance sport dancers. It points out the importance of mastering at least the basics of classical dance technique when you are a dancer of these dance styles. At the same time, it emphasizes the essence of an individual approach in teaching the technique of classical dance to dancers of various dance styles. Diploma thesis briefly describes and characterizes selected dance styles (classical dance, lyrical dance and dance sport), points out their similarities and concordances in the technical execution. Determination of similarities or even identical principles and elements from the classical dance technique that appear in lyrical dance or dance sport are based on my many years of observation and teaching of these dancers, interviews and analysis of answers obtained from a reference group of dancers meeting predefined criteria. Used research methods in this thesis are observations, literature searches on the topic and semi-structured interviews with selected dancers. These methods helped not only to determine similarities and concordances in these specific dance styles, but mainly to compile a training structure for classical dance technique for dancers of lyrical dance and dance sport

No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
